[Q] Nexus S Live Wallpaper without root? - Fascinate Themes and Apps

I was rooted and I loved having this as my wallpaper. I just tired of having to keep update with the rooting stuff, so I un-root and went back to stock DJ01. Now the apks I get for the wallpaper won't install. So I was wondering if it's possible..?

How do i bloody get rid of update notification???

Its driving me nuts. Update fails and i dont really want to update anyway. How do i get rid of the bloody notification?
I'm on Modaco r21 and getting the same update notification. Would love to be able to get rid of it. Would it have anything to do with the build.prop I used the one from the Modaco kitchen so I could see all of my paid apps in the market and so on.
Update:
I just reflashed with Modaco r21 without the 2.1 build prop and the update notification goes away and I also see all of my protected apps in the market.
I have the same question. I have frf50 on the at&t nexus, rooted and unlocked. I would prefer updating to frf91, but the ota update doesn't work.
You get rid of the notification by flashing this:
http://htcpedia.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3033
"Update.zip to flash with custom recovery"
And the other things too, if you like.

[Q] upgrading auto-nooted Color Book w/o losing installed apps??

Hi all,
Hope this is the right one of the four forums to ask this!
I used Auto-nooter x.25 to root my Nook Color to 1.01 three months ago. Has been working great, but I'm running into more and more websites that I want to see which use Flash, and I haven't been able to get Flash Lite working at all.
So now I've decided I want to upgrade to the 1.1 rooted ROM, but I've installed a whole bunch of apps. Is there a way to upgrade to v1.1 easily without losing all the apps and stuff I've installed?
Robert
download titanium backup and backup all your apps and data. After rooting restore them back. Howevre note that rooting alone will not get you access to flash sites and flash videos, either wait for Barnes and Noble's supposed upgrade or use one of the custom ROMs such as CM7

[Q] Possible to undo rooting?

If i root my phone, will i be able to unroot it and make it like it was when i got it?
Yes you will
One question from me. If i root, disables a few pre-installed apps and i.e. rename/change icons for other apps, what will happen when LG release a new update?
Can I just update as normal, and root again and do the same changes or do I have do enable all of the apps og unroot again?
I also want to install this; http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1027291
Good question, depends how LG format their updates. Just bugger around to your hearts content. If you need things back how they were, there is NVflash
But if i root and then uninstall/disable all LG stuff, will i be able to revert all back to original state??
Yes, with ease. I've just tried it myself.

Hello, I've just updated my phone to 10d through LG Updater. The changes I had made (froze some stock apps, modified autorun) remained, but the phone was unrooted. I rooted it again, and everything is ok.

leaked ota for rooted phone mac

i want to get the leaked ota, but i am rooted and i cant find a way to unroot on mac. Is their anyway to unroot when your on mac? Can you just use ota rootkeeper instead?
thanks
You don't need to unroot to install the leak, just make sure all the stock bloatware apps are there. You will have to re-root after the update.
Sent from my Viewsonic 10" GTab...GTabComb
i forgot to mention, i also have a metamorph installed. will that effect it? is their a way to uninstall it and its the gingerbread v1.1

[Q] DROID Bionic on Verizon - Need Verizon apps or no Jellybean :(

I think I might have painted myself into a corner on this one. I got my phone rooted on ICS & have been loving it. I used TitaniumBackup+ to do a full system backup and then proceeded to nuke the bulk of Verizons apps. All was well. Now, the Jellybean update is out. The OTA update hasn't hit my phone yet. So I went and downloaded the official build. It turns out the upgrade won't run without the missing Verizon apps. So I went to my backup folder & lo and behold: they didn't get backed up.
My fear is that the OTA update just hasn't made it to me yet & will also fail because those applications are missing. Right now, it's stuck on BackupAssistantClient.
Someone suggested I go and get gapps, but that won't install either.
Does anyone know where I can find copies of those apps or am I just SOL? It's not TOTALLY awful. It just means I have to wait until November for my contract to be up.
Thank you in advance!
Google "House of Bionic" read all insructions, download program, and use it to FXZ back to stock ICS with all the apps then you'll be good to go.
It should be nice and simple in your situation.
1. Use RSDLite plus the 6.7.246 FXZ file to put the phone all the way to stock.
2. Get root on ICS and then install OTA Rootkeeper. Make sure that the only things you do are root and install OTA rootkeeper.
3. Use Stock Recovery to apply the JB update. Check for root, which should hopefully have stayed.
All should be well after that. I've done some reading but I'm not 100% sure if it's safe to downgrade flash back to ICS after you take the JB OTA.
The House Of Bionic works perfectly! I did lose root though. I used the Voodoo app to back it up, but for some reason it just didn't protect it. I'm ok with it for now as I was more interested in JB than having root. All I really used root for was to get rid of the bloatware in the first place.
Wait!

STOP!
Use HoB to root as well. In the main menu, it is under utilities. THEN update the superuser binaries and use Voodoo to save root.
Then you should be able to run the update from the stock recovery and restore root when you reboot.
No need to keep the annoying bloatware! Or once updated you can add Safestrap and try out some of the cool JB ROMs.
