Dear ALL,
I have problem in restoring original partitions on my DIAMOND.
I've tried ANDROID (still pretty slow) on EXT2 partiton created on Internal Storage, but i want to restore original partitions.
I thought that there was only 1 FAT32 partition for all the storage so I did that, but when i did so i'm unable to flash ROMS from Internal Storage. It says "No ROM file!" and trigers USB flashing.
Could some one please explore your dimond in partitioning tool and paste screenshots with original info (number of partitions, type of partitons, filesystem)?
Thank you

I tried to make a EXT4 partition on my SD card to use it for A2SD. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard, it went well. But after I restarted the phone, nor the MiniTool Partition Wizard, nor the Windows Disk Management can't see the EXT4 partition. I just lost ~200MB of space from my 2GB card. Is there a way to repair this or can I think about buying a new SD card?
Also, in CWM recovery everything associated with EXT partitions gives me errors.
ROM: Prime HD 5.0
Kernel: nAa-11
-------------------
L.E.:
Problem solved. Partition SD in the advanced menu of recovery.
Try running these commands in the terminal (the EXT partition will be formated):
Code:
su
a2sd formatext
If you get an error, you will need to use GParted (a Linux partition tool) to create correctly the EXT partition.
EDIT: Gparted also can recover your "lost space" if you wish.
Hi,
I'm trying to enlarge internal memory size through repartitioning internal memory.
There are many threads about it and obviously all of them include warning: you can brick your phone so please make a backup.
So I found out it's quite easy with adb and dd command but ...
"But" is my external sdcard is FAT32 (there is no other working on GT-N7000 Android 4.1.2) and there is max filesize 4GB.
And my UMS partition has about 12GB.
First I've tried to find out how to split the archive to volumes - no luck - utilities like gzip or tar does not allow it.
Then I've tried to change the file system for ext sdcard - no luck - there is only FAT32 possible.
Also I've tried to mount the NAS somehow - no luck.
So what is the way to make backup of my 12GB UMS partition?
If not partition - is it enough to copy file system over ADB (for UMS it's /data folder I believe) ?
I hope there is no other thread about it.
If so, I'm sorry for the spam.

Hello, so the thing about my sdcard before I do the download only option with my phone Lenovo A7000, after I did the whole process everything is done, but I have noticed that the system probably affected to the sdcard slot on the phone, why? Because it says 16GB on the card, I put it on my phone and tells me that the card is corrupted and I formated it right, and what happened? It shows me on the phone 16MB max, and I did everything on it. I downloaded the EaseUS Partition Master tool, I deleted the partition, created a new one and it did nothing, still asks for the format because is corrupted and I have the 16MB again, tried to format it to a different type known as NTFS instead of FAT12, still gets the problem no matter what I do, if you know the solution, please reply, comment whatever. Asnwer whenever you have time. Thank you!
the problem you are facing usually happens with lenovo a7000 on marshmallow after an unsuccessful formating the partition become 16mb of size to fix this directly insert your sd card in your computer go to disk management and there you will see a partition of 16mb size and an unallocated space of whatever is left delete your partition make a new one and format it with ntfs , i hope this helps
Firstly, do not use NTFS, you're better off with FAT32. Also, in Easeus partition manager, did you apply the changes?
Did someone try this method on Lenovo a7000 with 8GB space?
This method supports MT6752 devices. The one Lenovo a7000 has.

It says there is a Zip file with AROMA installer to flash with TWRP
It will ask for a partition size, you choose anyone from there
It will reduce the "Data" partition (5GB) and increase the "System" partition (2GB), I think swap their sizes.
Then user must need an External SD card to store the pictures and downloaded files etc, but more apps
could be installed in the bigger "System" partition. There will be no "Space running out. . ." messages.
Make no mistake about one thing!
The Marshmallow's option "Use SD card as Internal Storage" doesn't work at all as what it says.
I used an app "DiskInfo" and saw the "System" partition size, when the 2GB space was occupied completely
the message started to show again "Space running out. . ."
Although I had a 32GB SD card used as Internal Storage.
Its all about resize the "System" partition more than 2GB.
I hope that method will work on our phone.

But why do you want more system partition size?
System partition only contains the ROM and the system apps.
All user apps go to the /data partition. And MM (and onward) internal SD card feature works exactly as it claims.
You need to move already installed apps to SD card first to free up storage on internal storage to install more apps.
And the xda thread you linked, it is for data partition resizing. Resizing only means to shrink the size and not to increase it beyond its physical memory limit.
I have realme x2 pro with 256 Gb internal storage. I want to know how can I partition this into two partitions (one acts as normal internal storage and another as a backup storage space). So, in the future, if I need to completely flash my phone, the backup storage won't be erased.
External SD...? The internal storage is a part of your /data partition. What is your solution for that? A "own" partition leads to a conflict because your system won't recognize it. Only "divide" the internal storage into two parts means it still remains to /data. So yout backup section also will be erased.
