You need to verify which drawable folder your phone uses.. there is drawable-HDPI and MDPI for high/low res phones.. if the icons were for HDPI and your phone is MDPI, mm will think it's applying but nothing will happen...

Man I'm on the same boat as you guys. I tried doing a new theme with metamorph but no luck. Then tried to get a new clock and nothing either. Having metamorph work save us so much wasted time. Rebooting to recovery, wiping data, etc. Flashing again. A bit of info would be much appreciated.

Do this, go get the app ninja morph by stericson.. open it and run checks, then choose "new project" and hit system, then framework, then framework-res.apk... it'll extract like 1200 files, when it's finished, hit res... in there will be some drawable folders... see if you have drawable, drawable-hdpi, drawable-mdpi, drawable-Idpi... post back in here which ones you have and that will help us to know what else to do...

[Request] just Notification bar in black

Hello, would somebody be willing to make a theme with just the notification bar in black (date, clock etc in white) for the CM 4.04 ? Nothing else needed in the theme.
thanks.

i am just that good. i saw this thread a minute ago and already have the file for you uploaded and everything.
http://www.4shared.com/file/132234151/543640f1/blackbar_signed.html
its a small file because all it is framework-res.apk (that has the black statusbar_background.png and the statusbar.xml with white notification text) and services.jar which has the classes.dex file that has be changed so that the clock and date will be white.

it was based off of the 4.0.4 template and has a services.jar not compatible with the one for stericsons lockscreen, so no it won't. sorry when cyanogen releases a stable version if you would like this i will do one for you then, just pm me when the time comes around and i will make you one
i need to test out the new colorChanger.jar anyways so i can go ahead and make one real quick for 4.1.11.1 give me about 10 minutes or so and i will have a link
and here is one for 4.1.11.1 with the status bar inverted so it should retain the curved look from the donut one.
http://www.4shared.com/file/134673715/a3acd40b/blackbar41111-new.html
i know there are people using this (its kind of obvious with my 4shared account showing how many times it gets downloaded), so my question is should i start a thread like this that has black status bars for people that want them? that way those that do want a black status bar know where to look to find it? if so, let me know and i will, its not like it takes any sort of time to make one. like 10 minutes at the most.
i can make them for well any rom (i think, not tested on rogers but i could try) just give me your rom (with a link to it would be nice) and i will see what i can make happen
Thanks a lot for this. I have been wanting this for quite some time, but kept telling myself I should just learn how to sign the zip on Linux and do it myself.
I was excited for this, but had some real issues. Number one, it will overwrite Stericsson's lock screen (makes sense since we replace the framework-res.apk and services.jar). Secondly, each time I use this, even after a fresh wipe and install, gmail force closes (and yes, I have tried fix_permissions).

I'll look into stericson's lockscreen when i get home from work tonight ,and i don't know why it would mess up gmail since it doesn't touch the .apk. i will look into this and see if i can get gmail to force close.

Thank you very much. I was very confused why Gmail would close myself. I tried many combinations of wiping and flashing, but each time my gmail would force close.
I tried this on 4.2.11.1 and I ended up doing a backup recovery. I would really like to have a black notification bar. Please help me in achieving this goal...

Black Status Bar: Ask All Questions Here

If you have any questions regarding my Black Status Bar Mod (Find it here), I have created a thread in which I can answer. The Black Bar Mod is for CyanogenMOD, but if there are requests for some other ROMs, please let me know.
just a random question: is there a tool that allows me to create my own bar without creating a whole theme? i want a bar that combines the elements of several different ones from diff ROMs..
Doc, are you gonna update your mod with Anderweb's new froyo launcher?
Login Screen disappears.
My login screen disappears after flashing the CM5.07 .zip file. Just to let you know. However i think i was supposed to metamorph the theme....
this is more of a request, but could u make a flashable bar for CM5.0.7test6? like the one in BlueDark? this is what it looks like:

That is just the bar from my old Blue Haze theme.
ok.. right now i'm running Test6 with SuperBad1.2.5.. can i flash the BlueDark over that to get the bar? furthermore, will the launcher stay the same? i really like the smooth launcher in SuperBad
Make a metamorph with the status bar images in framework-res, then in CM5.0.7 test 7 you can change the text color in the status bar via spare parts.
in the new spareparts where we select text colors. what does the "SPN & PLMN" labels refer too?

[Q] [REQ] [EASY] [MOD] [CM7] MDPI Circle Battery Mod

Hey everyone! First off, disregard my n00bn3ss. If there's already a thread for this, please show me, but I have been searching and searching and haven't found one. I love the circle battery mods but pretty much every one of them is HDPI only. Now that would be fine, except my Optimus S is MDPI. I love version A of Fightspit's mod , and I would love for someone to convert it to MDPI. Now I have gotten Blue Buzzer to work, however, I like the freedom of switching themes and applying the mod over the theme, instead of being locked in to a single theme that includes the mod. Also, packaging it in an APK would be nice because I wouldn't have to reboot, but I'm running Zefie's unofficial CM7 port and have Xonia Recovery, so I can flash if I need to. I dislike flashing, though, because I've tried flashing many HDPI Circle Battery Mods (among other things) that have resulted in nothing but a bootloop. If anyone could do this, it would be great. Thanks again!

what kind of problems do you have while installing hdpi battery? rom resize images automaticaly, so no need to resample them manually.
If you want a theme with battery mod - did you used UOT kitchen at http://uot.dakra.lt?
Well, when I tried installing them, they either caused a bootloop, or resulted in "Theme not compiled correctly" error.
The theme not compiled correctly error is due to the location of the preview.png. For the opti s it needs to be in res/drawable-hdpi.

[Framework/Theme] Gingerbread v11 [11.09 Update] TOGGLES /Percentage % /10E FW too!

Note: If you use this theme as a base for yours, please just ask first as a courtesy since you will change the icons, yeah, but the time I spent in making full-size notification toggles or changing summary text color, you won't spend it or re-do it . Thanks
This theme is included in NOVA v5 I can't tell if it will work in Stock firmwares. That's why I'll keep the v8 links at the bottom, that work with 10C and 10E firmwares, at least
·v11:
··Changed drop down arrows to real Gingerbread ones, which are also perfectly seen in white background, as you can see
··Lockscreen clock moved slightly to the right.
··Restored carrier name and SIM icon in Lockscreen
··Progressbar is orange again
Scroll down to find v11 themes for 10E stock Firmware!
·v9b:
··Added Power Menu for Recovery and Reboot [ALL CREDIT for Power Menu goes to dxdiag32. BIG THANKS dude]
··Lockscreen has been redesigned No carrier name nor SIM icon, as well as no "Slide up to Unlock" text
··Summary text in Settings is now grey
··Many other small fixes that I can't remember
·All icons and visual resources have been changed from Gingerbread SistemUI.apk and framework-res.apk to LG O Black framework-res.apk.
·Some icons (like 5 or so) didn't exist in Gingerbread framework, so I took LG stock ones and made them in gray scale, so they look like Gingerbread ones, I hope.
NOTE 1: With LG framework, when data is disabled, no arrows are shown. With this theme, I used the grey icons (with arrows) for no data traffic, and green icons for data enabled. Just have that in mind.

Oh, I read you in Tapatalk and didn't understand what you were talking about because you said installed apps icons and that had nothing to do with framework, so I went to my computer and with the pics I saw what you were talking about. You are right, I missed those icons :S. I'm away from home for a week and only have a netbook. I will try to do it, altough the wifi is not good at all here so upload will be difficult, but I will get into it as soon as I can and add all the missing icons, I promise.
About AM/PM thing, I will take a look too, although I'm not sure I can do something about it in framework (can't touch other apk's yet because ROM is odexed).
I hope that doesn't bother you so much for you to stop using it never again!
PS: could you give me the link to that website with the icons? It would make the task much easier!
Thanks!

It's fine, doesn't bother me much. This theme will do until Gingerbread comes out for the OB, and someone makes a stock ROM.
This is the link to the website I got the picture from: http://pocketnow.com/android/gingerbread-status-bar-icons-revealed
although I doubt it will help you. I'm sure you can get them from the framework-res.apk from a stock gingerbread ROM, Cyanogen Mod for example.

I hope Gingerbread comes soon to our Blacks... Although it will come with modded LG icons too. (I actually use the other theme, the WP7 one now with tiles , so I will have to make another framework anyway)
I thought they were downloadable resources, not a pic. I will, although the last CM7 ROM I got, there were so much things that were not stock that I freaked out. I will look for another or directly gingerbread graphic resources. The Nexus ROM I got to do this had a clear lack of some icons (I realised because some there weren't), because I also took them from SystemUI.apk (in Gingerbread resources are some in framework-res.apk, some in SystemUI.apk, a pain in the ass).
Thanks

I found this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954400) to do that so you can see how difficult it is (if even possible for the Black at the moment). Sure, but doesn't look like for the Black is going to be easy. I just had a look at xml's in framework as a MIUI forums talked about (SystemUI.apk that is not present in FroYo), so I looked into framework, res, values, strings.xml, but didn't find anything about date in statusbar. It must be somewhere else. Will look anyway, it's hard to me just say "no, impossible I won't even try" with these things.

I will revise/review (what is the word??) all the icons. However, if you want you can write the icons you notice that are missing (editing your previous post so they are together) and I will take a look when I do it so I don't miss any icon and I make sure.

Noejn told me that if I had NOVA ROM, flashable zip had to have an ext4 updater-script, but if I had stock ROM, updater-script had to be rewritten for ext3, so I was surprised about what you said.
Have you tried this theme/framework yet? I would be happy to hear that it works with stock ROM.

Can you teach us how to replace icons & resign apk/zip properly so it can flashable like yours. I tried to rezip & push framework-res.apk using adb and it stuck at bootscreen after reboot so I must reflash hahaa.
Or you kindly wanna make another theme like miui, cyanogen or kitchen style. I'm suck at programming stuff. Thnx before.

I am not pays, pays is dev of Pays ROM. You cannot push framework-res.apk if phone is working or it will bootloop
In order to make a framework theme, you can get the deodexed framework-res.apk from NOVA v1 first post, download APK manager 4.9 (Google), follow the instructions to decompile it (put apk in proper folder, open apk manager and press number 9 and enter), then modify the png's you want from projects/framework/res/drawable-hdpi with GIMP or Photoshop, then recompile it with 11 button in apk manager, rename it to framework-res.apk and drop it into the flashable zip replacing the gingerbread one.
This is the theory, but you will probably get some error or bootloop, which is a pain in this phone. I will explain how to do it well if you are really interested in doing it, when I can write from a computer.
If you give or show me the icons/style you want, I can do it in a few days.

This is the theory, but you will probably get some error or bootloop, which is a pain in this phone. I will explain how to do it well if you are really interested in doing it, when I can write from a computer.
If you give or show me the icons/style you want, I can do it in a few days.

Yeah I will give you a pictures, I'm too lazy to reflash and reinstall apps if I got a bootloop.
Happy holiday antonio

UPDATED. Now a flashable zip without involving any kernel, just the framework-res.apk, so now it's compatible with any ROM.
Take a look at first post again. No updated icons rashad, just wait a few days

[Q] Cm7 status bar mod

Hi. I wanna ask if is it possible to change the clock font on the statusbar cm7. And I'm currently on squadzone cm7 RC5.7. I have a question. Is it the framework problem or something's else cause when I use tickle my android, the decompile and the recompile was sucess. And when I push it in I got a bootloop. Can anyone help me?
Well the easiest way to change font is to rename your desired font to the one used by the clock (mostly "Clockopia") and replace it by pushing to System/fonts and set permissions

If you have a bootloop, that's because you've got something wrong with your framework-res.apk. I'm guessing that you recompiled it but didn't prepare it. You have to prepare system files or they just won't work.
That said, decompiling files isn't the way to change your clock font. Tickle My Android does have an option for changing the clock font in the modifying menu, although I can't guarantee that it'll work on your CM7. If it doesn't, the best way is to look in /system/fonts and start replacing fonts. Hopefully, the font you need will have a fairly obvious name..

I did prepare system files but sometimes when I wanted to push it in, it says write only file system. How can I change it? And for the clock I've changed clokopia and one more I guess it's called honeycombAndroidClock.tff but all they change was only the lockscreen clock

don't know about cyanmobile, in cyanmogenmod 7 you have to change droidsans fonts, it changes overall text appearance
Okay. I've downloaded rom toolbox pro and I tried to change my batt icon to ics with percentage. When I done install nothing happens. After a reboot, still nothing happens. Is this the right way to download it?

For changing battery and stuff its easier to use UOT Kitchen
I know uot kitchen is the best but I'm already on a ics rom. All I want is to change the batt icon. When I upload the framework and systemUI I got shtf file. All I can do is uploading the theme chooser theme. Unless I could find a theme chooser theme which it is pure and not modded before.

Hmm.. Tell you what, if you can share your files on the Tickle My Android thread, I can make this mod for you.
I can even take a look at changing your clock font. I'll just need to know what fonts you have in your Rom.
