Hello all- I am currently using my SGS with Darky's 8.0 Rom.
I have 2 launchers installed, the Touch Wiz that was installed with the Rom and Launcher Pro.
When I use Launcher Pro all is well but when I switch to the Touch Wiz launcher my contacts and phone icons disappear from my menu so I have no way of accessing contacts or the phone keypad.
Does anyone know why this is happening, perhaps some setting I don't know of ??

hello there everyone...
i have my nexus one rooted with cyanogen mod 6 rc3 . it comes standard with adw launcher and just recently i have installed launcher pro which i think runs smoother... so wen i run them is there any way to stop adw from running automatically or uninstalling it because it doesnt let me uninstall it. also i think its wasting my memory running in the background for nothing. thankss
Remove it using ADB or Root Explorer.
It should ask you which one you want as default after flashing a new rom. Forget if there is a way to set that after initially done.
When i installed launcher pro at first. It asks me wen i press the home button which to make default. And i set it to launcher but the adw still runs in the background. I ll try root explorer to uninstall to see if that works

ok so i got adw uninstalled... but now does any one know how to change themes and icons and stuff for the homescreens of launcher pro

I just installed nova launcher 15 beta and I must say " This is VERY VERY NICE :cool"
Now,,, I don't see the phone dialer anywhere in nova at all...
what do i do ?? Do I get the dialer from the market and launch the dialer icon in the nova ?

What ROM are you using? I know that some of the ICS ROMs are having issues with the dialer/ Contacts connections.
I have simply downloaded "Dialer One" from the Market. Works like a charm.

You can use Touch Pal Dialer.
Found it... (ICS SGS2)
I found the link that works under contacts.
To add it as a shortcut:
Hold down, choose shortcuts, applications, contacts, phone.
Works for me on a Galaxy S2, ICS 4.0.3, showing the full phone interface with call logs, contacts and favourites (starred contacts)
Hope it works for you too. Didn't like the idea of downloading another dialer, I was happy with the stock version.

When you install the Nova Launcher the dialer doesn't automatically comes to the main screen. Are you sure that you don't have dialer under the application drawer? It should be there...just long press it and drop it on the home screen. Done!!
For other people finding this thread - I found it as an app called 'Phone', not dialer.

I am using miracle v4 rom which has launcher pro as the default launcher. i have noticed that when i open an application from the app dock and come back out using the back button it goes to the homescreen instead of the app dock screen which was the behaviour on the stock rom.
I am not able to find any settings to change this behaviour. can anyone let me know if i will be able to get this behaviour and if so, how?

Launcher PRO doesn't have that settings so you just get used to it or find another launcher
Hi, This is awkward, but can anyone tell me how to remove desktops in JB Stock Launcher, I have SlimBen 3.1, using the Stock Launcher from extras addon, and I can't find the option for it... I remember in Stock Launchers that option was in the Menu Button while being on any desktop screen... but not in StockLauncher from SlimBean.... I have way too many empty desktops I dont need... any help will be appreciated...

Hi. I recently purchased the Nova launcher, and from time to time the HTC Sense launcher rears its ugly head. It usually happens if I access the settings menu and return home, and I have to launch Nova launcher manually.
I don't plan on rooting or installing a custom ROM yet, and would like to know if there is any way I can keep the HTC launcher from appearing ever?

You should make/choose a Nova as your default launcher.
You can do this in : Nova/Avdanced Options/Set Default Launcher.
Should work.
