I thought the lack of silverlight support prevented this.
Tagging along for more input.
This should be posted in the general forum though.
I wasn't sure where to put it a buddy of mine claims he has it on his vibrant I will find out more

I know you can now get Hulu on your Cappy, haven't found a Netflix mod as of yet.
It would be nice if it worked. I use it all the time on my ps3.
Netflix already posted on there blog a few months ago that they are coming out with the same App WP7 has soon. They accidentally showed a new phone at CES that had the Netflix App on it... Just a matter of time.

Hi everyone. I am looking for the app tubedroid. I had it once and since I rooted the app that I saved doesn't work anymore. For those of you that don't know what tubedroid is, you can download any video from youtube to your sdcard. Any help would be great.
I'm assuming it had something to do with it being illegal since downloading from youtube is forbidden.

can't see why downloading from youtube is illegal. I can send it to facebook, and you can download stuff to your desktop. Im not trying to sell it to make a profit, want less hassel when I want to watch my favorite music video.
It's against youtube tos probably.
I dont claim to know the ins/outs of youtubes tos... but how do apps like videodownloader get away with direct dl's from YouTube?

Ok illegal is probably not the right word, but it is against google policies so they will pull any app that does it from the market.

If it is illegal to download it then it's illegal to watch it. You cannot watch it without downloading it. They may want to stop you from saving it but they can't stop you from downloading it without raking the video down. The same is true on the streaming music services. Take a look at Grooveshark's EULA. It's very well written in that regard.

I'm new to forums ... but have you tried Skifta. It is not optimized for the Xoom yet. Only works in portrait mode for me. Let me know if you can get files to play from other sources to the Xoom (espically video)

We just updated the version in the Android market to v0.73. Amongst many other things, this should fix up landscape mode and make it a bit more sensible to use on the Xoom.
Give it a go and let us know what you think!
Allan (of the Skifta team).
Twonky works. I have a media server and I am able to access video from several devices including the Xoom using Twonky. The thing with video is what type it is. I find avi has less issues. MP4 can be tricky.
I use it with PlayOn and Vortexbox as my backends and the new version with tablet support is exactly what I have been waiting for! Nice job!
I have been using it since I got my Xoom to stream from my xbmc box. It has worked pretty well for me. My only suggestion is to make sure and exit out of the app when you are done or it will murder your battery.

system dump from the revolution is there...
I downloaded, ran, and it FC's on me when viewing over wifi. hangs on "4G". Hooking to ADB right now...
Tried this on my atrix and it is not working for me either. I wonder what modifications would be needed. Would it be possible to strip out the DRM hardware check from an .apk?

I'm hoping someone can get this working! This would be awesome to have working before Netflix can get their act together!
I got $20 to the first person that can make Netflix work

Yeah that's crazy. Why would they not include the Tegra 2? I guess it's all a waiting game on Netflix or to see if someone can crack it to make it work.
just find the thread in here for atrix that says flash 10.2 install. theirs a post with files in it so you can watch netflix with dolphin browser. I do it now!!

I just tried it says you need Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. Hulu works but I don't see how you got Netflix to work.

because the new Qualcomm cpu's have the necessary security DRM that netflix wants. Apparently Tegra 2 does not have it

I stumbled across this and decided to share it. Its like a Netflicks meets TV Shows Stream app that allows you to watch newer newer movies as well as ones that have been previously released. A great time killer. Give it a shot...

Sample videos. These are delivered with almost all the devices. Its like the sample videos, pictures and music on newly installed Windows
yeah, I always delete them. It's only a few mb, but they take up unnecessary space.
Those videos do actually serve a purpose, they were used in Google Talk when you're in a video chat and you enable the sunset/space backdrops. Though I imagine they'll be removed in the future now that Talk has been replaced with Hangouts (which lacks the backdrop feature)
Still they are something people normally don't know.(I guess)
