[Q] Unable to unlock Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I am unable to unlock my samsung galaxy s GT-I9000 at all.
History:
I upgraded my phone from 2.1 to 2.2
Tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7776555#post7776555
i.e. Rooted my mobile and tried using Generate Unlock Windows.zip - But it always threw nv_data.bin not found error.
Then i tried with 2 apps on the market, by dagentooboy.
Samsung Galaxy S Unlock Tool
Samsung Galaxy S Unlock Froyo
It did not work again. I tried running root and the code provided by dagentooboy.
i am unable to unlock at all.
Also, I wanted to know is it a must to have SD card? If some body can unlock, I can provide nv_data_bin file.
I am willing to donate as well.

Unlocked!!!
Hi All,
If you are unable to unlock using the above steps, please use the Pro Version.. it worked for me.
Thanks dagentooboy ... its worth paying for your work!!! Yeppie..

It didn't for me. It said it is unlocked, but it is not.

[Q] Unlocking Problem Galaxy S

Hello guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S, I9000 locked to Orange.
I tried the SGS Unlock to get the Code and it did, but when i insert the code it says code wrong.
I flashed to another ROM and still no luck.
Can somebody tell me whats wrong?
Can it be that the counter i locked? How can i check this?
Use the "For Windows UPDATED!!! With Un-Freeze Codes" method, you have also a video guide for it. The two apps I found didn't work for me.

[Q] Networklock issue

Hi guys.
I would like to flash, but currently it is too risky for me because i got a netlock. So i have to unlock my Samsung galaxy s.
First i tried to use the SGSUnlockTool but it said if i actually had a galaxy s.
Afterwards i used other methods like your windows unlock tool, but that didn't work too - it said that it doen't find the "nv_data.bin" file.
I read through several forums and i read that the nv_data.bin could be "damaged" because of flashing. The only problem is, i never flashed (at least i never flashed manually) I just flashed with Kies from Eclair -> Froyo and one time i used the kies reg hack to get Froyo on my galaxy s.
So what could I do?
Shall i even unlock my phone before flashing manually?
(SP and all other locks but the networklock are off!)
(btw. sorry for double post)
Thx in advance
Joker
can you please tell me what is netlock

I honestly do not know if you need the SIM card or not to access the market which will allow you to get the "Galaxy S Unlock" app. I have tried the "Galaxy S Unlock" app before but I could never get it working (with stock FW and Stock FW + Root). Im pretty sure that you cannot use that app once you update from Stock FW to Stock FW + JH7 (the original "GPS fix" back in Sept). However, the way I got my unlock code was the following steps:
1) Go back to complete stock FW using the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989
2) Root the device using the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739304&highlight=click+root
3) Get your unlock code using the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761751
This may be the long method but this is the only way I have ever gotten my unlock code. But then again, once I got my unlock code, I never tried to get it again. The above steps that I took did not require a AT&T sim card at all.
I hope that helps.
Hey! Even i got this phone from United States to India and now even i m in a fix that how do i unlock. please tell me did u manage to unlock the phone?

[Q] Current way to SIM unlock Bell i9000m 2.3.3

Hi
What is the best way to unlock a Bell i9000M running 2.3.3 UGKG3?
I just bought simunlcoker from the market.. worked like a charm... I'll get you the exact app in a bit my phone is currently off and charging.
if this can be done by a simple app I would prefer a free one however
or instructions on how do to it from the command line
there is a free version of the app and it use to unlock sim in 2.1, I had to buy it after that....
Lookup in market SGS Unlock, by Dagentooboy
pro is 5.00 and I can confirm in maybe 20 mins if it still works.

Just put in a Rogers SIM card and my phone is still unlocked...
Tried SGS Unlock Tool. Both methods didn't work.
Then I tried Galaxy S Unlock. The second method worked, I think, but I need to confirm with a SIM card.
Root was needed.
sometimes you need to put in the new SIM card, boot the phone (get a sim lock error) then run the APP , reboot phone and should work.
Confirmed: Galaxy S Unlock works. It's free. And you don't need a SIM card to run it.

I can also confirm, use the Galaxy S Unlock app from the Android App store (now renamed the Play Store). The FAQ talks about needing Busybox installed, but I didn't install it and it worked flawlessly for me. Mind you, my phone is rooted with SuperUser, so who knows maybe that's why it worked.
For those thinking of unlocking their phone DON'T CONTACT BELL FOR AN UNLOCK CODE. They will push a $75 fee for a code that doesn't work (here try mine and see 09182086).
I wasted over 6 hours with Bell customer service to no avail. The app developed by Helroz is free, but I'll be giving him a donation because his app WORKS!!! It took less then a min for me to unlock my phone with his app, LESS THEN A MIN!!! Can you tell I'm happy!!
Here's another unlock code given to me by Bell but equally didn't work but I like to share so 62189513. And if my sharing means Bell doesn't screw others out of $75 bucks then it will certainly put a smile on my face.
Enjoy folks, and remember spread the love to other Bell customers with Galaxy S phones. Bell will never get another penny from me.

[Help] I unrooted my Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Hello,
Please Help.
I recently got a used Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and
when I tried installing a bank App as well as crypto apps,
it gave a security message that scared me...
Something link "Apps with root access can steal your funds" or This does not work on rooted device.
I successfully unrooted it.
But now only one sim card works.
And the phone appears to have been locked to SK Telecoms in Korea.
I have tried to root the phone twice unsuccessfully.
Phone model - N960N
Also it has OEM unlock jail.
So each time I try I usually can not try again for a while.
Please help me.
Thank you.
