What do you mean by international I9000? Also, how do I know if my phone is international I9000?
Any phone from outside of north America is international unless you brought it in south Korea and Japan.

I rooted my phone without noting my original version first. Any way to find out my original kernel / rom?
Thanks
Can you tell us where you are in the world? Are you running a custom rom?
Depending on where you are, we can tell you the possibilities and the latest stock rom/kernel. If you know your stock rom version, it's as easy as looking up the version notes to see the kernel version.

I am from Israel. I am running a custom Rom (when I rooted the phone, I found the rom in a rooting guide- copied from this forum , only then, unfortunately, I found the original rooting thread in this forum..
So currently I have:
Android Version: 2.3.4
Baseband Version: I9100XXKG1
Kernel version: 2.6.35.6-I9100XWKDD-CL161513
[email protected]#2
Build number: Lite`ning Rom 2.0 XXKG1
This info is all from the the "about phone".
Thanks
Go to
samfirmware.com
Go to the mobile section, android, i9000 then look for the most up to date version for your area. I am in canada, so I don't know right now what version it is.
you can tell me the version if you find it, and I can tell you the kernel version.

Sorry, I did not understand your instructions mate, stuck at finding i9000 after clicking on "mobile" link".
You need to find the stock firmware for your region. It's by country, split into north america, asia, middle east and africa, europe and provider firmwares. Once you know that, you can follow a guide to flash the firmware you want.

Hey guys,
Has anyone been able to successfully flash the gingerbread baseband and get their phone to register on a Canadian network? I've had nothing but issues with it. Does the leaked gingerbread baseband lack support for the 850mhz frequency?

have you tried the new firmware?
ok, if the official release of ginger cane out for the O3D then why do we still have to flash the baseband? jjust thought it would be much simpler by now.

No the official release is in kdz format and the baseband is included in that just look in the O3D dev forum they already have the official GB for the debranded European models

Yes it does
that would awesome if i could get gb to flash on my device
Because its the European version.
does the European version has different baseband? I have unlocked AT&T LG Thrill 4G that I am using with T-mobile, which baseband should I flash with?
all i want to know is why isnt there a way to flash gb baseband and rom using cwm yet!!

coz most European providers using 2100/900/1800 MHz gsm band
but AT&T using 850/1900 Mhz
so we need base band software to communicate with baseband processor
(as example wifi driver for pc)
we still don't have exact base band for thrill 4g for GB so what we do borrow optimus 3d base bands
still no body able include baseband in cwm flash
when we flashing froyo rom we didn't had that problem coz we already had froyo base band in our mobile.
But when we switching to GB we need new base band ( as simple example windows xp wifi driver is not compatible with Linux Linux need sperate driver)
This is my understanding plz correct me if I'm wrong
The key is having the right modem.. we don't have the right one until thrill gets upgrade or 920h gets upgrade... Latin America...
I have changed over files that are connected to modem but was never succesfull and often ended in a boot loop or stuck at logo
So agree with uesheda

I flashed my unlocked Thrill 4G with O3D's official GB and it is working flawlessly with T-Mobile. I can get 3G signal and even enabled the FM radio.
I'm surprised a baseband hasn't already been ported from our Canadian friends, the Rogers O3D supposedly has the same model number and radio as our device, someone please correct me if I've heard wrong.

I'm pretty sure they use the same freqs, but most of the western hemisphere does as well.

Yes, the Bell (North American) version GT-I9000M has the same insides as the International version GT-I9000. If I remember correctly, the only difference is that the GT-I9000M has a different modem in it, which uses the 850mhz /1900mhz band. whereas the International version uses different bands. The 2100 and the 900 I think.
So happy flashing. Just remember to grab the correct modem file for your phone from the development section. Most ROM's I have found are geared towards the international version and may not contain a modem file that supports the 850mhz band right out the box.
I am in Canada and I use the recommended I9000UGKG3 modem.
Hope I have helped.
Please help, could not find anything out there about this phone. I have the international galaxy not, but mine is not the n7000 it is the i9220. First of all what is the difference? Second, I was able to root it but I can not find where to get a rom for it, i tried the cm10 rom for the n7000 but it failed, I want to put a rom on it to get rid of all the stock japp apps and also so i can get the play store. If anyone can help me out on where to find this rom please reply.
i9220 is the model for china mainland.
The specifications might be slightly different.
While N7000 is international note sold worldwide.

I have the international galaxy note n7000 but at the welcome screen it shows gt i9220. So in my case 8 would say both are the same things. If u go the the about phone option it will say its the n7000.

may be compare your hardware specs to the n7000 and see if they are similar..or compare it with the AT&T version.. which ever is similar,
N7000 has ARM v7 SMDK4210 cpu
