As we all Know Danny_jo is leaving us
The reason for this thread is i would like some keen developer to help create a new rom
as we know danny_jo wildpuzzle has powered most peoples roms but as he leaving i thought i would like to take jump and create with developers and see if we can produce as good quality as danny_jo had and continue with in proving the wildfire
Me and MelvinChng have come up with some crazy ideas that requires alot ov xml and modding to get the best phone space and best performance from the wildfire
so if any of u developers are wanting to join in and help or even some one who is new new development and wants to help please dont be shy if u have a skill that would support the creation of the rom then u more than welcome to join in
There's already enough mods out there.
Why not talk to an existing mod team and give your ideas?
But as I see it, all the things we "need" are already in the mods.

And im willing to help develop, But i dont have alot experience developing actually i dont have any experience. xD But i want to become one and maybe take my first steps here. Im still in highschool so i have alot of spare time and everything. And i dont mind googling for things all day, i have my pc set up with all the necessary tools And i will hope build up my developing skills.

at the current stage we are just working out what to do as talkin to each other is a tad diffcult im in uk and he 8 hours a head lol so when i finish work melvin fast a sleep lol
but im tryn to get a few devs on board help greate a community built rom for htc sense like cm group have done so just try to get devs and work out wat to do lol so it will b a while b any think happens but hopefully there will b somethink

Thx for all your work here. I like your 2.1 ROM. Froyo seems to fair better on the tattoo. So hopefully you and Jacob can make a wildfire port when the right ROM leaks

im posting here because im getting multiple pm's a day asking for help with sense 4.0.... heres the deal im always willing to develop for any device but with these new devices and ics its more difficult with ginger i could port a rom to anything without the device thats not the case now, so what i am saying is if someone is willing to donate a extra device i will build you guys some nice roms if not i wont be much help with your progress with ports... i had a guy named A-to-the-J say he would donate one so if you are still willing shoot me a pm and we will go from there.... thanks guys maybe in the near future you willl be seeing alot of me

I don't have one at all... EVO 3d forum sent me one because they couldn't get ril they tried for months... I had it for 2 days and fixed it.... It was cake compared to my rezound ril fix

It's very possible, it'd go a lot smoother and quicker if we had some help though. We've gotten as far as bootanimation on the Wildfire S. If anyone's interested in helping join us at #wfsdevteam on Freenode. I'm sure we could try help you with your port if we get help getting it booting

I would be glad to help, but I really haven't any experience in this kind of work. If you can tell me what to do, I can try to do it, but I'm not a dev. If this type of "help" can be useful to you, I'll be happy to help

Depends entirely on what your experience is. There's a big difference between learning to cook having never cooked a thing in your life, and learning to cook French cuisine if you're already a master sushi chef.
I'll play it safe and say I've never cooked a thing in my life, but my dad is also a system engineer and could help if I needed it. I'd rather learn without his help.

Look at my signature...the bottome link...aka chef central/android...that area of xda is dedicated for tutorials and helping people learn how to develop (signatures are only visable on a desktob browser)

What's wrong with the battery? I'm sure hell take it either way...battery's aren't too expensive (at least for a cheap one)...as long as it works its perfect for deving

It still works, but its battered. No pun intended. I got a winmar powerpack which chargers it and my nexus 7 super fast. Have him pm me and ill send it to him. What's with the guy saying that cm 4.1 is basically dead?

i looked at that android kitchen and i was wandering is there anywhere else i can learn a lil more from i kinda got confused with the whole thing
i mean how do i start from scratch and make my very own rom from scratch i dont want anyone saying i stole there rom etc any info i could read on would be great id love to play round with it and learn something new i just recently got into this rooting stuff and i picked it up pretty quick i think i have htc vivid unlocked and s-off formerly from att now on straight talk and i love custom roms i hate stock and if u dont mind me asking what is the best adn most stable custom rom for the htc vivid.

Start with an RUU. Run the RUU on your PC. Stop at the first screen after it's done loading, don't proceed, but don't close the window. Start/Run and type %TEMP% and hit enter (this will take you to your user temp folder). Sort the folders by date and open the newest. Here you should find Rom.zip. Use this as your base ROM in the kitchen. Root it, deodex it (or not), zipalign it, etc - and you end up with a flashable ROM from an RUU

I want You guys to know specially Nikhil and einstein.frat that You are really amazing and I appreciate everything that You devs are doing for this phone even if its outdated abandonned piece of trash that I would throw from my window ( I live in flat on 8th floor) if I could afford better phone . Too bad einstein decided to leave Us but I can't really blame him for that. He did an amazing job with nameless and kernels. Anyway.... thanks guys for everything and keep doing a good job ( If u can of course ) Im on this forum everyday monitoring how things are going with CM9 and other things like Customizer or Revolution Rom.
