I haven't seen anyone else post anything about this so I thought I would. I installed the Lite version on my GTab and it rocks! It's limited (hence the "lite") but it acts similar to a desktop. Check it out HERE.

Your link actually when to the VISTA app not Seven?
here is the correct link to Seven
https://slideme.org/en/application/android-seven-lite
My bad. Good lookin' out.
funny thing is I downloaded it on my hero and did a Titanium backup of it to move it to my gtab and the packaged files all referenced Android Vista? lol
Wait what?!??!
I can suppose that it is just an imitation of windows running over android; or does it counts as a windows distribution??
Srry for my ignorance but having windows in my tab, at least for 1 day, would make my tab to have internet at school.

It's not actual Windows. Just an interface setup to ACT like Windows. It's actually pretty sweet. Might invest in the Pro version some day.
does it override other launder such as ADW? If I don't like it, can I just simply uninstall it and back to ADW? just wanted to double check before installing.. I probably do a backup first..
I've tried it and its just an app, not even a home option as far as I can tell. Its interesting but not really sure I can say more then that. Once you exit, it goes back to your default desktop

I have been waiting for this darn Shift to come to a Vodafone here so in the mean time I picked up a couple of EeePC's (white for my wife and black for me).
I was surprised as to how well the thing works. It is ugly but once I slapped Windows XP on it it worked a lot better than the original linux. I stripped the XP down to get rid of all the crap with nlite and stopped it using a hibernation file and page file, put in a gig of ram and it is very snappy.
I am curious to see how it stacks up against the Shift. I will be amazed if Vista runs (or even walks for that matter).
I wanted this to program on in places I can't bring my laptop. It is light enough to carry around in one hand and the battery lasts just under 4 hours giving plenty of time to stare at the code.
I stripped down visual studio and msdn to the minimum that allow the coding I want and laboriously installed them one file at a time. This is because there is not enough storage space on the thing to perform a normal installation, instead each file must be used then deleted until all have been done. Its just lucky Microsoft coded it to give the option to find missing file without killing the installation!
I put on a bunch of other software to an SD card and val la - a fully functional computer. Here are some screen shots.

Easy to take with you on holidays and with an USB HSDPA Modem it rocks
Thanx for the pictures.

I came across this app earlier today and it seems like it has future potential. The only fault I see is that it doesnt have landscape support but its something to play with. Gives me something to mess with until Open Touch 4.0 comes out. lol Its nothing out of this world but figured I'd share. See some screen shots below.

Trying to transfer iPhone UI is imo a fail. Much better are interfaces like mobile shell which come with their own ideas.
Check out the istyle - do a forum search, much better imho, which rearrange the today screen rather than replace it.
imho ..? oh well..
I'd rather have Open Touch V4.0 than the iPhone to be honest. Tho the iPhone is a revolution in the digital worlds, it's nothing more then a simple theme because it uses MAC OS X 10 or something.
I'd rather have my HTC

I agree its mainly something to show off if anything. I played with it for a little bit but I still prefer HTC home that comes with open touch.
I'm running a ROmwhich has the honeycomb icon layout. I find it terrible. It's so hard to find anything, it looks cluttered and confusing... Is there a way to get it to list things as a grid instead?
Yes there is a app available that will show everything in a list, unfortunately I can't remember the name but you should be able to find it via the search option.
I'm also desperately looking to disable the HoneyComb effect... I hear the economy is bad and some jobs need to be lost. I'd start with whoever came up with that.

I've searched and I can't find anything. It's possibly the worst idea Microsoft have come up with since that ridiculous paperclip. It's a mess.
I'm going back to 6.1 until one of the rom wizards finds a fix for it. Unless this thread comes up with one.
BubbleComb
Variation of HoneyComb...
This is my BubbleComb.

I will be posting a new one in that thread in a few minutes once i get landscape fixed
I second the OP question regarding the return to the simple grid system. A list is good, but not as good
Hi All,
I'm new to the windows mobile world since i bought my first windows mobile device an HTC HD2.
I'm willing to create a new theme since i think mine would be way more usefull as the default homescreen of windows mobile.
But i have te learn a lot about windows mobile.
I'll need some help since in the wiki most of the info i was able to find was pocket pc 5 info so a bit dated.

So this is my idea, i figured out most of the stuff is written in xml? seems easy in titanium_800x480 file so i should be able to figure it out.
Problems i might/will run in to:
Adding the taskmanager might be a problem so i might/will need help on this.
And removing the lower bar and replacing it with my version will be difficulty for me as well for me.
I'm currently looking at stuff other created to see how they have done that, but it would be nice if someone could sum up the tools which i will need to create a taskmanager or remove the lower default bar.
I learn scripting pretty quick since i've written html/java/flash/(small)vb scripts for macros ... so i just need a little help to get going.
Thanks in advance for any help.
this could be very interesting im definitely into it. i have no experience with xml and stuff but i might be able to put some graphics together.
jejejeje cool idea bud, if you need any xml hemp....just tell me
THats a million $ idea..Kudos.. very creative and task oriented.as well as UI will be more cool too..
So I was just browsing through some of the sub-forums and I found a lot of questions asking, "HOW KENN I RUN iPHONE APZ ON MI PPC?"
I today have brought you a solution.
Using this method, your phone/device will not need any additional memory usage, or even any additional software/hardware for that matter. All games will run full speed too! And the best part is -- none of this will affect your battery life!
Here you go folks! A picture is worth a thousand words, so this video is worth a million (Or something like that! )
http://www.youtube.com/v/HA17r26Ytz0&hl=en_US&fs=1
Tada!!
edit: This will work with all screen resolutions!
Does this work on the HTC HD2?

Upon further inspection it works on every phone on every operating system
It's a really hilarious* video showing someone running an app on an iphone which he has physically placed on top of a PPC.
* when I write, hilarious, I really didn't mean it.
Thread can be closed now, if not deleted, please.
It will run on my Tilt, as long as it is on my desk. But will not run on my Tilt if it is in the charging dock. Any ideas ?
fail thread.
