[ROM] Deodexed KA7 - Root - Voodoo [1.21.2011] - Vibrant Android Development

This is for those of you who are currently using Voodoo based 2.2 ROM. You don't have to disable voodoo to flash this ROM.
This ROM is basically the same deodexed KA7 ROM by Whitehawkx with added supercurio's KA7+Voodoo kernel. I didn't change anything to the ROM other than kernel so all features remain the same. I made it available to make it easier for all Voodoo user to upgrade.
* Stock
* Bloat
* Root
* Busybox 1.19.0.git
* Modded 3e Recovery
* KA7 Kernel + Voodoo
* KA7 Modem

Found in the OP of Supercurio's thread here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870480

do i have to have voodoo already? i just flashed the leaded ka7 build that wasnt not rooted and for some reason wont let me root. so i was goin to odin back to stock then cmw this.

Should work ... this ROM should convert your filesystem to ext4 on the first boot which should take about 10 - 15 minutes roughly.

Thanx

Just like what it says .. you probably has a bad file, corrupt during download. Make sure you can open that zip file prior to flashing it and do it from CWM recovery mode.

Works Fine Thanks

Does it wipe?

Ok I flashed and I cant send mms. Wut can I do?

I've seen some people are having the same issue with MMS as well but some work just fine.
Read this post, and see if you can get a copy of mms from nero.

after i flashed this ROM, i keep on getting the green Recovery Menu first.. i need to install update.zip twice before i could get to the red menu with Voodoo.. odd.. it doesn't do this when i have Nero 4 or 5... i'll try flashing the kernel again with voodoo..
EDIT: NM.. Quickboot works fine though..

In the kernel is use there is an option to install zip file without sig check, not sure about yours.
Clockwork will flash the ROM, but if you're using a stock 2.2 kernel (3e recovery), it won't allow it. If you're coming from 2.1, you'll have no problems. Coming from stock 2.2, you'll need to flash a 2e enabled kernel (with Odin) before you can use cwm to flash a cooked rom.
Sign the rom yourself .
Somebody posted script for signing and zipping roms here .
jje
how can i sign the rom? if so will this effect any of the contents and why dont devs sign it?

Having the lagfix will require a flash. the lag fix is built into the custom kernel.
Any way that the voodoo lagfix can be flashed to his stock kernel so that the only thing modded is the lagfix?

I believe you can flash kernel on stock but it will be through odin. You could always check AdamOutler's video about flashing UrsaMinor. Will also get you rid of the signature failed on 2.2

[ROM][PORT](9/6/11) Darkyrom 10.2 JVQ

Do I need to explain the rom for you guys?
Original thread
DO NOT FLASH FROM CM7 OR MIUI!
Installation:
-Flash an i9000 based gingerbread rom.
-Download the darkyrom configurator from market.
-Tap flash kernel, modem, and wipe
-Start the flashing.
-Enjoy
Features:
-Based off of darkyrom 10.2
-JVP bullet kernel
-KB5 modem
-fixed home haptic feedback
-fixed volume keys
-fixed softkeys
The bootanimation app DOES NOT work. Nothing's wrong with the rom. It's just that our kernel does not support it.
GPS is not present in this rom.
Flash roman's GPS fix to get GPS functionality: http://www.multiupload.com/7NTP7RTCO9

Just flashed like a normal ROM without the Darky app and flashe from BiWinning a FroYo ROM and worked flawlessly.
Okay. Here I go. I ported from toxic hero darky 9.5 and worked okay.
Problems and concerns:
1) Computer voice saying welcome to darky's rom. Doesn't fit in well at the office.
2) Bootloader app doesn't work. Please let me know how I can custom change the bootscreen by going into the files.
3) Multicolored lines running across the screen after Vibrant bootscreen but before Galaxy S screen
4) This needs BLOATER app from old Darky roms!!!!!!
Otherwise I think it's perfect. unbelievably fast.
