just a curious question.. what is the product code for your SGS?

why wait for official version when you have so many other safe options

Samsung Don't Provide Update for : CSC : PAK

Salam Naeem, I am from Pakistan, I couldn't find any update from Kies so I rooted my SGS and installed Darky's ROM.

I really don't know why they sell phone with urdu if thet don't provide update to pakistan :/

many Latest ROMs have Urdu support. Try doctor rom. Its GB latest with urdu.. And made by a Pakistani!

Depends on where you live,Europe,asia,America?
I live in Holland and its updated last month with stock 2.2.1 using kies...

My phone is having this version .I9000JPJPF|2.2|2010 November| is it possible to flash with I9000XWJV1|2.3.2|2011 February ???

Also depends upons the phones original provider and if they have uploaded new firmware to Kies server or not developed it yet.

I live in the UK

i live in the uk and my samsung kies program itself updated, the offered me a firware update to 2.2.1 after this, but no before. apparently, looking at a list of the available types the t-mobile uk 2.2.1 isnt out yet, so i dont know where mine came from, i think the thing i looked at tld me it was a portuguese version. very odd, especially as my phone jst came back from samsung repair and they said the had reflashed 2.2 onto it

You have to manually flash gingerbread. It may not officially be available in your country yet, but you can still get gingerbread. Search tab development thread for gingerbread rom.

But I'm confused tat, if when my country available the firmware update, i still cant upgrade it?
I'm scared tat i cant upgrade the official firmware, cos mine still under warranty so plan to upgrade the official if can.
I get the info from some others chinese forum, some of the version cannot be upgrade to gingerbread. It's true?

The case may be that the country/region server does not yet recognize the
current firmware version (PDA:KM3 / PHONE:KM1 / CSC:KM2 (XME)) that you have. i also get that notice when i tried KM3_KM1_KM2 on my tab. i'm from the philippines and as per experience the only firmware that my kies recognizes for is the one that came with my tab when i bought it which is p1000dxjk2.
hopefully, when they "officially" roll it out for SE Asia, we will be able to update through kies. but for now i'm enjoying the stock gingerbread + CF-Root by chainfire.

Hi guys. I from Europe and yesterday via Kies I updated my Galaxy Tab. Strange enough, but I got not Android 2.3, but Android 2.2.1 update. Anyone from Europe with same update (2.2.1)?

Android 2.3 is only available in Italy at the moment, Its not EU wide.
This has been discussed many many times.
Check your countries official Samsung website, when its available it will be on news page.

Just update it using the Father of Thor if you can't wait dude.

A friend of mine had visited me yesterday to update his tab with kies.
After I saw there was only firmware JMJ in Kies, I told him to update to Stock Kernel 2.3.3.
Now he is so happy....
By the way...
Does the 2.2.1 JMJ Europe Update have a locked bootloader?

You can check it by the app sgt-bootloader patch

KL3 is the Last update in India
Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Update Then follow the instructions
or
Update via Kies.

Its long time after KL3..... Other countries moved to KL7.... LA1.........LA3.....and Today LA4............
After receving KL3 update just after a week in Europe, i thought India is getting Sammy's attention but it doesnt seems to be

Don't worry there are to many but Few are for the same region country. Lets take DBT aka Germany latest firmware came today out xxla4 before that it was kl7 a month ago the rest was developer leaks from Europe la1 la3. So be patient and wait or start flashing all roms that comes out.
