is it possible to use a USB gamepad with the tablet? what kind of adapter would be needed?
You would need to construct an OTG cable, or use the hdmi dock.
Dell has never made an official OTG cable
You would probably need a PDMI to USB adapter, but I don't think any exist.
what if i use a female to female usb adpater like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-USB-2-0-FEMALE-FEMALE-F-F-ADAPTER-CONNECTOR-/280732594049?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415cf76f81#ht_2429wt_1041
Those are a great way to damage both devices being plugged into it, they're not normally made for a reason
I just bought a hard drive to connect to my nexus 10, but like an idiot, I didn't realize it was a USB 3.0 drive. I have an OTG cable. I am wondering if there is a way for me to externally power the hard drive. It has a single USB 3.0 female plug. Hopefully the attached picture can explain better what it is that I want to do.
I wonder if this would work
http://www.amazon.com/HDE®-Male-USB-Micro-B-Cable/dp/B006C0S2JS
I could connect the USB 3.0 connector (right-most) to the HD, the blue Type-A connector (left-most) to the OTG cable and the other USB (center) to a USB hub or power supply. Anyone have any experience with this type of thing?

Did it work?
I recently bought an USB OTG cable and a USB 2.0 to Fast Ethernet Adapter off of eBay. The OTG cable works fine with my mouse and keyboard, but the ethernet adapter does not work with the OTG cable. Does the P7 support ethernet via USB, or maybe is it the ethernet adapter's problem?
Thanks!
