Hey guys,
It's my first time actually switching onto various themes with the CM ROM and I have settled with the Plastic Theme. However, I still have some of the icons from my previous theme. How do I get rid of them? Do I have to reflash the Theme? The ROM?
Thanks, I appreciate it!

The old icons may not have been themed by the dev who made the theme you're using. If you are still seeing icons from a previous theme, that would be the reason.

Well idk 'cause the market also remained a red Theme but this Theme was supposed to give it a blue color. Do you know how I can fix it?
if you have a G1, use my theme template to revert to the stock icons. Then flash the theme.
themes
Sorry, not sure if I'm. In the correct area but I have a question about themes also....
Do they mess up your 3g at all? I'm on cyanogen 4.2.5 and I was using DarkDream 1.4, then switched over to Marks theme ???f and now I noticed I tried to download/upload and it keeps telling me to "check connection" and I'm always on 3g and never had that problem b4. The status bar shows the 3g icon always going from left to right, in the middle and sometimes full, very confusing. Is there a quick fix? Or do I need to switch themes?

You could try and reflash the stock cyanogen rom and then reflash the theme.
I have the Cyanogen custom rom loaded on my rooted Nexus One and I have been trying all day to morph/flash ways to change my notification bar, but no good.
Would appreciate from you fantastic people if you could lend me a hand or advice?
Thank you! (If this is wrong format in this forum I apologize greatly it is my first time posting here, but I've been following XDA for some time now)
there are many themes over in the themes forum that have meta morph files you can apply to change your status bar to black. which do you want? do you want the desire black bar? or a pure black bar? i can post my theme which i use, it has a mixture of pure black bar, circle battery icon, my preferred wifi icon, and the rest are desire icons, all mixed together to give me my favorite theme. currently using it on cyan 6 nightly from sunday.
EDIT: i added the file. i left the name exactly the same, but a few edits have been made so i hope the originator of that theme doesnt mind. you can search out that thread by the file name i uploaded.
the thing is when i attempt to morph a theme every thing changes EXCEPT the status bar. While it skins the framework.apk (mis-spelled) It takes extremely long and I eventually reboot my phone because it does not load. How long does it take for you to morph a complete skin? I was trying to morph the Carbon Notification bar and it takes very long.
Thanks btw for your reply really appreciated
yeah i am stuck at the same problem too.. it is taking too long for such a small file... even flashing roms are faster...
na dude i got a different version MM nd it morphed quickly but not right status bar always white
huh ? i didnt get u... cant u rephrase ur sentence pls .. are u saying u downloaded an older version of metamorph and it morphed quickly but that version of metamorph did'nt change ur status bar to the desired color ?
It works for me every time, very quickly. Do you have usb bugging enabled? You need that.
Like I said, that's the exact file I use every time, not sure what is wrong...
Are you sure a reboot doesn't make the white turn to black bar?
haha.. it works for me now.. i didnt enable USB debugging the last time .. awesome.. loving the new carbon fibre status bar.. wicked stuff !!
Ha nice, its always the little things
hey guys quick question: is it possible to install a black/glass status bar morph on a rooted nexus with the stock rom?

Yes, but the text would also be black. It has to be a custom ROM to modify the text too.
yes there's a stock FRF91 ROM thread over in the other forum which is theme ready so you could use any morph you want.

Good info.. I have Enom's all lined up to go on mine when I get my new MicroSDHC... Still using the stock 4G card, need more space.
Help please
So I've downloaded the Glass Status Bar morph, and everything works except my status bar is still white. I'm trying to run it on CM 6, froyo, N1. Any help would be appreciated as to why this might not be working.
Do I need to adjust any settings in CM?

Go into the CM settings under the notification bar settings and untick the custom bar and untick custom color. Reboot and then it should work.
Thanks for the tip kp and it seemed to work at first but when I tried to change back to my preferred wallpaper (when it rebooted after applying the morph it reverted to the standard Cyanogen live wallpaper) the status bar become black.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the tip but it didn't work. I unticked everything you said, reapplied the morph and it re-started and seemed to work although the wall paper had changed by to the standard CM live wallpaper. When I switched back to my normal wallpaper the notification bar was black. Same thing when I tried other wallpapers.
Any other ideas?

Are you running a CM6 nightly?
Im running the CM6 stable and everything works fine on my end. For the nightly, I heard that you need to stick a static wallpaper you do not want up and then go to the live wall paper to place "on top of" the wallpaper. There may be more to that but that was the jist of the conversation I read in passing.
EDIT: Here's the thread

No, I'm running the stable mod, not any of the nightly's. Tried what that thread suggested, still no luck. I'll keep trying on my end.
Just to go through the steps I did, I downloaded the file from XDA. Placed it on my N1. Used Metamorph to unzip it and install it rebooted and no-go.

i flashed a 2.2 desire rom on my nexus one. The rom has the circle battery icon with the number inside. I honestly just dont like it, and prefer the original green graph battery icon. Can i get some help on this?
You need morph for original battery icon. Find it in Themes & Apps section, download Metamorph or any other morph app from the Market, execute.
I am trying to find some battery/ signal icon mods for the taskbar. I remember using a taskbar theme via metamorph a while back, but cant figure out which one it was or where i found it.
Where are all these to be found? And which are compatible with cm 6.1.3 for the DHD? I should say i am looking for the stock sense icons at least. They work much better at 200 dpi.
Hey everyone, how's it going.
Lately I've been having some problems with metamorph installed on my mytouch 3G running cyanogen mod 6.1.0. For some odd reason it says that everything has been applied but nothing is ever applied, any reason why it's doing this?
Bumpppppppppppp.

it could be a few reasons.. if your phone is utilizing the drawable-mdpi folder instead of the HDPI (low/high res) then it will think it's been applied but it won't change.. also if the cm version on that phone isn't deodexed then some mm themes won't change anything...or if that cm has options for custom stuff, you might have to enable/disable those settings.... what are you trying to theme anyway?
I'm having the same problem on my N1 with CM6.1.1
Metamorph goes though everything and prompts me to restart to apply the changes but nothing is changed. I am trying to change icons in the status bar, on one occasion the battery icon changed but then changed its self back a few seconds later.
I am new to metamorph and already have a custom theme installed by flashing in recovery... could this be causing this problem?
Cheers people
Depending on where you got the icons for the top statusbar, some phones use the drawable-hdpi folder and some use the drawable-mdpi one... if you got an icon set meant for one, but your phone uses the other, it won't change anything..even if mm says all themes applied... typically already having a custom theme won't affect metamorph tho.. if you can't figure it out, link the icon set you are trying to apply and I'll look at it for ya.. on the battery issue, some roms read in 1%, 10% or even just 20% increments so if you have a battery icon you apply that is only set up for 20% readings but your ROM reads in 10%, the battery will switch back and forth as those increments are hit...
Yep your right, i had a batt icon that went up in 1% and the new one only in 20% so i at the 20% increments i have the new icon and for every other percent i have the old one! I've tried changing the wifi and signal icons and these have both been fine! Thanx alot mate!
You dont happen to know where i can get loads of different icons from do ya? I wanna try loads out now! haha.
Edit* Also if i want to keep a battery icon that only goes up in 20% increments how do i stop the other icon coming through for the other percentages? Cheers!
