Launcher pro - Fascinate Themes and Apps

where do you extract icons and docks on order to modify the dock?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App

Make a new folder on your sdcard and call it LauncherProDocks or whatever you want, place your dock images there then in LP goto preferences/Appearance Settings/Dock background and click the custom option and navigate to that folder using the gallery to find your dock.

People just post up the icons and dock images on XDA and other places. Just download them and select the image after choosing custom icon/dock.

Icons?

Hi. I'm running cm7 and really don't like all the application icons that are green(particularly the dialer and browser icons). Are there any icon sets where the icons are blue? I think cm6 had blue icons but Idk because I was on FR008 for 2.2. Thanks in advance.

If you search adw on the market you can get tons of themes that you can apply by going to settings- adw settings and apply theme or you can individually apply the icons to any by long pressing the icon and hitting edit then clicking the icons picture

Launcher pros web site has threads dedicated to icons and docks for free. You can find icons all over the web. Theres also an app called Launcher pro icons. You can make any icon in the pack any color and there are a lot of custom icons in there. Its worth the couple bucks to buy it and always have customizable icons.

Home Screen Layouts (POST ALL HERE)

Ive decided to begin a new thread where all of us happy Samsung Fascinate users can post our home screens (your main one, or all of your screens if you want), and post what theme/icons/widgets and such you are using if you want. Then we will have a giant collection of ways to organize our home screens, so if you ever get bored with yours, you can come here, and change it up! I know there is a thread like this but its not very recent at all. I will be posting and answering questions frequently on this thread. Hope you enjoy!
This is my MAIN home screen.
"Beautiful widgets" ontop
Lower widget is "Exdate widget"
higher widget is "Digital Clock Widget"
Launcher:Launcher Pro
Everything in red can be found in the "ANDROID MARKET"
The wallpaper i am using is found down below titled "green abstract"
The icons i am using can be found in the "icon set.zip" file below. I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THESE. THIS IS NOT MY WORK. I dont remember where i got these icons but if anybody knows the name of it , please tell.
The theme i am using is the EB01 Green VA theme, which can be found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957602
Have Fun!
Great Idea, could help with those who want a little more theming on their Android Device. Maybe change the title to 'Widgets, Icons, and Theme Collaboration' so that people can have a better idea of what this thread might be? Current title is a little vague in my opinion.

I think people are misunderstanding this thread. There is already a "post your homescreen" thread. The point of this one is to post the setup you are running (widgets, icons, wallpaper, etc) along with a screenshot, not just a screenshot.
launcher pro plus (envelope without m is tied to text...and 1up mushroom is app)
beautiful widget (only time widget that moves to top...makes the screen look huge)
hidden notifications
ive seen many nice looking homescreens but then felt they werent as functional. then ive seen redundantly functional homescreens.
its seemed to me that u want as many apps as is easily possible to quickly recognize on one screen and one click away. turn phone on. see what u want. touch it. boom ur using ur app. widgets decrease these 3 steps to 2 sometimes. turn phone on n look at widget n uv already got what u want. but widgets can drain so i avoid them. plus i dont need to immediately see everything every min. i can open the app n update/sync from there just fine.
so...i put my most used apps on my homescreen. 1 single screen. the rest i put in the drawer. everything is at most 2 clicks/motions away once the phone is on.
using adw ex w superclean 2.6 n bluebread theme. swipe up for drawer.

This is my lone home screen. Clock and weather is Fancy Widgets Pro, Honeycomb clock skin, MIUI weather theme. Tapping the clock launches the alarm settings. Weather tap is forcast, and forcast tap is weather app. Widget settings by tapping the date. All of my apps are on the scrolling dock at the bottom, all icons in the dock are greyscale Tron icons from launcher pro icons app.
Left and right widgets are media scanner (left) and screen on while charging (right) from Widgetsoid. Font is Monoglyceride from Absolute System Root Tools in the market.
Rom is Super Frankenclean 2.7 with mob87's Honeycomb.
This has proved very functional for me while staying uncluttered. Its all just a flick of the finger away

My current setup with ADW Ex:
The Home screen is simple with Fancy Widgets, CircleLauncher Light, & Gauge Battery Widget.
The first screen to the right I have Jorte Calendar & Google Search.
The second to the right has Winamp, Lyrics App, & Reboot Widget (plus a bonus set of Picture Frames with my trip's).
To the left is my functional screen with Tiny Flashlight, Silent Toggle, Android Central, & a few most used apps in the upper right. The upper left icons are shortcuts to different App Dock Groups that I've setup in ADW. I used to use Folder Organizer, but I got tired of putting them all back after a restore. This screen also shows my hidden dock bar via ADW (set to Swipe Up, notifications are Swipe Down).
The second left screen is intentionally left blank. I use it to test new widgets and layouts.
The icons are a mix of stock, mine, & downloaded off Google Images. The background is a total rip from Internet.

There should be an edit button somewhere at the top of the thread. Click that, and then go to Advanced or Advanced Options or whatever. Title changing should be there. I can't search my own threads and check for specific instructions, but this is basically it.

[Docks] Sense style for LPP, Adw Ex & Go Ex - Multiple colors

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Hello. I was bored today working on a Graphic Design project and decided to take a small break to make some Sense style docks. They should work in Launcher Pro, Adw Ex and Go Launcher Ex.
The zip is not flash-able. Just extract the png files to your sdcard somewhere and select the images like you would normally for custom docks in your launcher.
There is also a blank png file included in the zip, to make the buttons transparent over the dock if needed.
I have tested most of these in Go Launcher Ex, but some may be a little rough around the edges because I haven't tested them all.
If I get more time I will try and make some more.
Thank you..... I been looking everywhere and couldn't find anything like this is it possible to make transparent one? Or a wood one? Or a pearl white one?

No problem. I may eventually add some more later. If I can figure out how to theme the clock I'll add some clock skins. I am not too good with the programming end if things though and it may take some code.

Fancy widget or Beautiful widgets. I think there are templates for the skins on those.

Have you tried setting the icon you want to the black wallpaper that comes in the dock package? Or after setting the transparent icon did you restart your launcher?
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using xda premium
Yea I put a transparent gif icon file in the first zip file I believe. Let me know if that isn't working. Set your dock shortcuts then use it as the custom icon for each so the dock shows through but the app is still there.
I'll see if I can make some more docks soon.

Lol remember the black and white one like those old school photos but yeah man set the shortcut then set the custom icon and that should work...

Not sure if it's still allowed to ask, but is it possible to make them with these icons (left/right, but then proper) as well? -->
Much thanks <3

[REQ] Black Out Theme

I loved the blacked out apps that were on the experience add on for the Unl3ash3d rom, and was wondering if there was a way to get a black out theme that will black out all apps, or is that something that I would need to do on my own, and if so can someone point me in the right direction as for what I will need to theme out the rom myself.
The ADW Faded theme makes all app icons black and white and translucent.
Unlike other iconpacks that have to have an icon specified for every single app individually, ADW Faded Theme applies to all icons.

It will flash just the Blackout apps only. Unzip the Blackout package, in there you will see 2 folders Meta.inf and system. Open system and in there you will see 2 folders, app and framework. Delete the framework folder and in the app folder delete the systemUI.apk.
Go back yo where you have the Meta.inf and system folder again. Highlight a box around those 2 ONLY and right click/compress/zip. Drop that new zip on your SD Card, wipe cache and dalvik ONLY. Flash it.

Manually Changing Icons

So I want to change a few icons. I found the location for the SMS/MMS Icon (ic_launcher_smsmms.png) so i just have to change the name of the icon file that i have to ic_launcher_smsmms.png and then put it in place of the original Icon file. Correct ?
I can't seem to find the one for the video player, there is no ic_launcher_videoplayer.png like i figured there would be. So if someone could help me find the location of that, and the email one and the app drawer launcher icon. I would greatly appreciate it.
So I renamed the icon file that i want to use, to ic_launcher_smsmms.png and tried to move it to the correct directory, but everytime i click paste, it moves it one directory back from the one i want, how do i get it to replace the current png with the new one ?
Where do you find the pngs?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that's not the name of the icon for the sms/mms app. You'll find that icon in the actual mms.apk.
Video Player would be the same thing, you would find the icon for that in the Video Player.apk.
That is where I found that file at. In the .apk. I was told that was the right one. If not then which is?
Sent using my rooted LG Revolution
Just use a Launcher if you're not already and long press the icon and hit replace or whatever the option is and look through your phone for the new icon you got. May, not be what you want but it's a not less of a hassle then what you're doing.
That only changes the icons in your home screen. I want them changed all around. I don't care if its a bigger hassle lol if I cared I wouldn't be asking. So can someone tell me what to do. I am thinking that I can't just change it through the phone can I. I have to dump the files on my computer. Then change the ones I want and the flash it to my phone. Am I correct ?

Well was I correct tho about how to do it. Cause I was thinking I could just edit the icons I want in the zip of your ics theme that I have and then just reflash the theme.

If i understand correctly, in order to change the icons, you'd have to edit each individual apk. For instance, if you want to change the icon for facebook you have to edit facebook.apk but if there is an update for it, then you have to edit the apk again.
Thats why im looking into making a theme for adw launcher. That way no matter how many times an app is updated, it will display the themed icon. I chose adw since its the launcher that comes with GingerVolt.
Sent from my VS910 4G using Tapatalk
so I was right about how to do it. But like you said I would have to re do it everytime the app gets updated. So your idea on making an adw icon pack. Would that change the icons in the app drawer too. Not just the ones in the launcher and on the homescreen?
