So, I have learned to play with my google phones and my galaxy tab... but my babysitter just asked if I could do anything with his phone. It is a htc touch diamond, running windows 6.1.
This is not my phone, but I don't mind helping him out if it is relatively easy and safe, much like my above experiments?
What all is possible on this device? Can it be ugraded to a custom rom running windows latest?
Any threads, roms you could link to would be greatly appreciated... and "thanked".
If it was my phone, I would do all the homework... but I am just looking for some quick answers like, do this, dont do this
not worth it, or maybe it truly can make this a new/great device? again, any input appreciated!

i recently purchased a tilt last friday, and it will be here on monday. what are some things i can do to make it better? Such as software, and as ive been reading if you really want to do anything such as software you need the HTC ROM because the AT&T ROM doesnt allow the programs to run correctly? any info appreciated.

What programs do not run correctly with the AT&T ROM? I have the latest AT&T ROM and my programs seem to work fine! I'm also not sure I understand you correctly; you suggest flashing the HTC TyTN 11 ROM over the Tilt ROM to improve program functionality and performance? Please explain the advantage or are you asking if there is and advantage? Wouldn't some of the cooked ROMs be a better option?

I own HTC Fuze.I'm wondering if someone knows what will happend, if i reload my HTC Fuze(unlocked) with ROM intended for unlocked GSM HTC Touch Pro/P7272(EUR MODEL)?
I want to do this in order to get rid of the ATT aplications and plug ins.
Just to instal software that is intended to be used with the free unlocked HTC Touch Pros anywhere on the world.
I thnik you guys caught what I mean.So any suggestions will be appreciated.

There are plenty of ROMs to choose from here that are optimized for the Fuze. None of them have any of the AT&T crap. The one in my signature below is, in my opinion, one of the best ever and is specifically made for the Fuze. Take a look at the link I posted above and you should be able to find one that you like. BTW you can flash a Touch Pro ROM to your Fuze, you may have to change the keyboard layout after flashing though. Oh yeah, read here first if you have not already done so.
i'm not asking for step by step instructions (but that would be nice) i just want to know if someone can point me in the right direction of the most stable rom or software they know of to make my touch pro (cdma) look like the new htc hero. to be honest i would even settle for the magic. i'm not just looking for the today screen, i'm also looking for other stuff such as the way the settings are controled and such.
any help but be appreciated.

Don't know anything about ROMs or all this cooking stuff as my last phone was a BB and there pretty easy to use compared to this stuff.
Can someone please direct me to a quick ROM install to make my phone easier to use as I'm scared I'll end up bricking it.

welcome to the wonderful world of HTC. and remember, if its easy, it aint worth it lol.
Everyone will have their own preference as to which ROM is "best". So I suggest you just read up on the flashing guide, and then pick a ROM and try it out. If you don't like it, you can try another.

I suggest you start with Energy Roms or Simiplicity Roms I find them very stable, pretty, and fast. I use these roms on a daily basics

Read, read and read some more. That's the only way to figure out what you can do w/ this toy.
1) I'm currently using fring. It's not the best but skype is "supposed" to be making a nice upgrade for android.
2) if you install CWM thru fastboot you can get some of roms offered here. If not used to flashing diff. Roms, is just stick to Update 2.2 W/ FULL ROOT. Just follow instructs, its easy. Easier than alot of other tabs.
3)Follow the webblogs like androidpolice, androidcentral, streakdroid, etc.
4) T-mobile TV kinda sux, IMO, its quality is pretty bad. Maybe better on the LG tab. I use Hulu anyway.
Note: we were all noobs once, I've been modding Symbian OS and Windows Mobile waaaaaay before Andy Rubin stepped onto the scene. I think some noobs just need the right push to start.
