This is a Calibration app that you can launch from the app drawer instead of the crazy calibration.ini method that has been floating around since day one. This app was originally discovered by BumbleBee. The orignal app was called "moduleap" so if you picked it up while in our IRC chat room then uninstall it and download this.
I have modded the TouchScreen calibration app. It is easier to use now... includes a launcher icon renamed to be easier to understand it's purpose.... removed the ERROR messages etc.
Again uninstall the old moduleap app if you installed it recently.
Make sure you don't touch the screen during recalibration.

For safety it is recommended you use a butter knife. A steak knife will work but instead of running to your Gtab chicken box, walk carefully with knife pointed away your body. I am not responsible if you fall and poke an eye out.

Swype works amazingly

But when I was at the bar last night I realized its limitation
Not only is it hard to think hard enough too swype when you're buzzed, but holding a cold beet mug really adds viscosity to your fingers and scrolling across the screen really gets tough. I had too resort to touch typing...it was torture

Drinking beets may be the bigger problem here
Maybe coat your screen with a little vaseline before going to the bar? A few beers in you won't notice the blurriness, and you'll be rewarded with super-slick swyping.
My only gripe with swype is the lack of the voice-to-text button. Combine the two, and I might never have to type on a phone again.

I've noticed when my fingers are wet it causes issues with the touch screen, but that is a given. That is why we keep wet things away from our phones.

I'm a bit cold blooded and have noticed when my index finger is dry/cold I have trouble opening up an app and often times when I try to delete an app from desktop and push on it to delete it opens up the app instead of highlighting so I can move it. Usually rebooting will work. I've also noticed if I warm up my hands or rub my hands together it also works. Gets to be a pain in the *** any suggestions besides a finger transplant
Suggestions
move someplace warmer.
put lotion on so your fingers don't get dry.
put hands in pockets.
thumb wars to get the blood flowing.

Yea, I found it a bit funny bc the description says its not compatible with tablets, yet Amazon website has a green compatible check mark next to the Xoom. I just loaded the app and it started. What kernel are you using? Are you on OC GPU? I don't like that OC stuff so I'm stock. I'm up to level 40 and it hasn't sputtered or crashed (knock on morning wood).

It seems to work for me.. the 'not for tablets' is probably because it isn't optimized as well as you have to scroll the screen a little bit up/down to see the top are of the screen for putting towers etc and down to put them on the lowest part of the playing field. Otherwise.. seems to work great for me.
I get an Unauthorized Request error when I start it up. I click OK and it closes .

Anyone have a work around? It begins to play the game fine. I select the level and difficulty, it shows me where all of the buttons are, and then the map turns black. The game continues on, and I can use the in-game controls, but can't see anything. Guess I'm just beat

I'm using a custom kernel. Try going to the dev section and looking in the Notubuntu thread. Flash that kernel and try it. Maybe its kernel related. Mines works fine everytime. I'm on wave 70 and no hiccups.
By the way I'm not overclocked or anything. I'm using the stock honeycomb also. If you guys are using a different ROM it could be an issue.

For me the trick is to do a two finger re-size on the black background, this causes the play field to be redrawn and works great.
Anyone have this issue? See the small text?
Man this game is harder than it looks. How the hell do I stop the helicopters from getting past? I feel like I'm upgrading the early buildings and its killing me!
I noticed that when my game ended and my name was on my high score list. I could not read the list. Either the text was microscopic or was not working correctly.

Early on drop a middle launcher along the aircraft flight path, then lightning generators later in the round.
I have the same "small text" issue with the high scores screen - this is probably the reason this game isn't "approved" for tablets.

Yea, I got the update works good.
So basically my friend showed me the Reactor PC which is a watertight case with most of the components fully immersed in nonconductive fluid instead of regular closed water cooling and air systems. Even with multiple GPUs and when everything is maximum overclocked while playing intensive games the system didnt go above 70 degrees.
The problem with this little slice of awesome sauce is the big slice it'll take out of your wallet... $4500 for the base configuration! And the motherboards and such are all custom made by the company which means 1) no off the shelf upgradibility and 2) if the company goes down, well hope your happy with what you got.
To circumvent these downfalls, I had an awesome idea! Why not take a small, cheap aquarium (~12"^2), a small motherboard (MicroATX, 9.6"^2), and a few bottles of nonconductive fluid (I call it NCF for short) and make my own?
So that's where this thread comes in. I would like comments, suggestions, thoughts, ideas, etc. on this build. Everything is appreciated!
What I have planned:
Motherboard: MicroATX because a smaller board = a smaller aquarium = less NCF to buy and they still have all the functions and slots I want.Aquarium: As close to mobo size as possible, again to save on NCF.NCF: FluidXP+ from articmod.com ($34 / 32fl.oz.), it's made for liquid cooling systems but it claims to be as close to 0% conductivity as possible (.000000000131% the conductivity of copper, which is used to test conductivity). Also they submerged a motherboard in it for 6 hours and it ran fine during and after.
Problems (I think) I've solved:
HDDs and DVD drives: I'll keep these out in a rack or something.BIOS battery: Shouldn't cause problems because if there's no conductivity there's no corrosiveness right?Fans: I'll just not plug them in so i can still have the heatsink, well, sink heat.PSU: I'll just leave it out, mostly because i don't wanna pry it open to disable the fan.USB, etc. ports: A couple hubs with long cords should do the trick.
Problems I haven't solved:
Filtering the NCF: Will it be a problem in a sealed container? (I know aquariums have breather holes but that's what duct tape is for) If so would a standard fish bowl filter system be supplemental, detrimental, or useless?Keeping NCF cool: I'm sure my setup wont be outputting a lot of heat since I'm not planning on overclocking or anything, but I'd rather not have a bowl of boiling NCF (probably wont actually boil but you get what I mean) and especially not a risk of melting the aquarium.Making NCF/Cheaper NCFs: $34 is quite a bit for what is essentially 2 vending machine bottles of Dr. Pepper. I know it's a weird thing to buy which means it's not cheap, and it's probably worth the premium for the longevity of the system, but if anyone knows where to get a good NCF for less or how to make a reliable NCF that would be awesome. And many more I'm sure.
Again, all input is appreciated!
Good luck, I'd like to see where this goes.
thanks, i go home within a month i hope and im first gonna toss an old motherboard i dont care about in there first just to make sure and ill be sure to upload pics and such
Yeah, I can't help with anything but bump for the thread. I'm no hardware guy. But that sounds awesome. I want to see it when it gets done.

Buy the aquarium and put some fish in it, problem solved and surely much more relaxing.

I would actually like to see him combine the two ideas fully. If he generates enough heat from the motherboard then he could put some fish in the tank before he goes to work and by the time he gets home they would be perfectly cooked for his dinner. He could use CPU overclocking to adjust the heat, and therefore the cooking time.

Ugh. I doubt moving away would be enough. Seems the type that would follow you around still rambling. My luck, I would have to leave for dumping my soda on "a paying customer"
i too hope they implement this
1. to be accessible even without controller (i.e. swipe up/down could be used) and
2. to be accessible in the void as well, so that every person can choose for himself how big he wants the screen to be. i do like the void, but it kind of bothers me that the screen is smaller than in the main cinema. sure it makes sense to not have the picture "attack" you too much, but on the other hand, theres movies that attempt to do just that, i.e. gravity.
so, this should be an easily accessible user setting in all theatres including the void, IMO. for some movies, id like to sit in the back of a cinema with some distance, i.e. TV series that generally tend to do more closeup than movies do. for others, i might want to watch them silly close in the void so that they almost fill up the entire FOV, maybe even a bit more than the cinema default does (that would be gravity )
So is this not achievable with just the touch pad? :/
EDIT: Just bought a controller, and it's much much better than swiping with the touchpad. Tried this in the cinema app and it works perfectly. I prefer the very back seat because I can see the whole screen without left or right.
