After much searching only way to manage 'Account & Sync Settings' seemed to involve reinstalling, setting account to corporate, or deleating data & forcing new setup. I was not thrilled with any of these options, so I experimented some; involved banging head against wall repeatadly. Finaly tried something that seemed to be TOO simple, but it worked.
0) Have LauncherPro installed
1) Long press on home screen
2) Select 'Shortcut'
3) Select 'Activities'
4) Select 'Account and Sync Settings'
5) Select 'com.android.settings.ManageAccountsSettings'
----------
6) Select icon on home screen
7) Add, delete, modify, sync, etc your accounts
1-5 only need to be done once.
Same here. Latest TnT Lite, no "activities" in the shortcuts list. Is there even any other way to get to accounts & sync?
Thanks!
MC
Yeah it was added as an option by LauncherPro.
Available from market or download from www.lancherpro.com .
Don't even have to run it, just install.
Finally an easy way to manage Google accounts on the GTab.

Everyone in a while i check to see what programs are running and Active Sync is always on! I close it and later on it comes back on. Is there something that can be done to close it and only use it when i connect to pc?? I have the ATT Tilt 8900 incase that matters.
Same here on a TyTn II. I sync with exchange and have peak times set. So in the evening or on sunday the AS still starts when I power up the phone. And also when I close it it starts again...
Goto Start>Settings>Phone then to the "Time Zones" tab and un-check "automatic time zone change and clock".
Active sync will quit it's crazy auto launching madness, plus you won't get the "hey, my clock just jumped ahead for no reason" bug that many have seen.
This also will help:
Do the ActiveSync workaround now and you won't be sorry later. Thank you to the original poster in HowardForums for this workaround -- I did it on my older HTC TyTN and now on my Cingular 8525 as well as Tilt and found it to resolve the weirdness all around:
1. Turn on your 8525/8925
2. Go to Start > Programs > Activesync. This will open the Activesync program.
3. Tap Menu at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up the Options Menu. Notice the option Schedule... is greyed out? This is the all-critical option we need to get access to. But as it's disabled we can't change Activesync's default synchronisation schedule.
Ok, so how do we enable the Schedule option? Easy!!! Fool Activesync into thinking there is an Exchange Server to sync with:
1. From Activesync's Menu tap on Add Server Source.
2. In the following screens you can enter any old garbage. It does not matter, but just in case your unsure, just type the following in the indicated boxes:
Server Address: fake
Tap Next
User name: fake
Password: fake
Domain: fake
(Ticking save password or going into the Advanced menu makes no difference, so no need to bother).
Tap Next
Untick all of the 'Data you want to synchronise' options
Tap Finish
3. Ok, we're done creating the server. You should now see in Activesync's main screen your normal Activesync connection(s), and a new connection called Exchange Server.
4. Go back into the Menu, and lo and behold the Schedule option is now enabled! Go ahead and tap it!
5. You will see that both options in the Schedule screen are set to Every 5 Minutes (A01 Rom), or Every 10 Minutes (A06 Rom). This simply will not do! ( * Advanced users - please see my note below * )
6. Using the drop downs, change both the Peak times and Off-peak times boxes to Manually.
7. Press the OK button at the top right of the screen.
Congratulations! Activesync is now gagged from opening on it's own and ruining your life! Your work is not done just yet though - time to clean up and get rid of the now unwanted fake Exchange Server.
1. Go back into Activesync's Menu, then Tap Options.
2. Highlight Exchange Server, then tap Delete. A warning message will appear about removing files etc, but as you have no files associated with the fake Exchange Server, it's nothing to worry about - just tap Ok.
3. The list will now only show your remaining PC Sync connection(s). Obviously do not delete these!
After you sync your 8525/8925 with a PC and have removed it from the dock, you must manually close ActiveSync on your pda or it will remain running and defeat the purpose of the fake exchange server hack (n.b. if you are not using a 3rd party program that will close apps permanently e.g. Magic Button or Wisbar, you will need to go to Start > Settings > System > Memory > Running Programs and Stop it manually). This could be why some people have had no luck with the hack.
I had applied the "fake" server trick but it had no effect on the Kaiser's active sync madness (although I also reccomend that it be done on all phones not using servers), the time zone fix nailed it.
Timezones trick does not work by me. I also have no problem with the clock jumping...
The Exchange trick, well I am using an Exchange server to sync with, so my peak times is set ot as items arrive, and non peak hours to manual... peak times are set only ot weekdays between 08:45 and 19:00 so I am afraid I have to live with the bug. Well it is not that bad since there is a load **** of memory on the kaiser.
How to Ungrey Schedule Permanently
If you want to be able to have the Schedule item ungreyed permanently, and therefore available for use, follow the procedure described by Pruben above, but don't delete the fake server. Now click on Schedule, select the Options tab and deselect all boxes in the Microsoft Exchange section. Press OK and you're done.
I haven't been able to test this out fully because Pruben's solution doesn't work for me, so maybe someone can test this and post results.

This trick worked for me w/my Tilt, ATT rom
My wife and I have each other's calendar available to each other. So on the web, we can click one or or off to see each on together or separate, and each in a different color.
I currently fine that my calendar is on the phone, but not my wife's. Do I need to 'add and account' to see hers? If so, will it be in a different color? Can I easily filter between hers and mine if I have them both on the phone?
Thanks for any thoughts.

on my current android phone that syncs all of my calendars (including my wifes) downloaded automatically in different colors.
You didn't have to 'Add and Account' and add hers? It just came down because you have it shared?
Good Nesws!
Guess what. I tried our dear friend, Google.
Here is the answer:
1. Press your device's < Home > button, then press < Menu >.
2. Select Settings and then Applications.
3. Select Manage applications.
4. Press < Menu >, the select "Filter."
5. Select "Running."
6. Select Calendar Storage.
7. Press "Clear data."
8. Wait for everything to re-sync.
Hope this helps someone else.
I'm assuming that you are talking about multiple Google calendars. I'm trying to do the same. I'm able to do this on the Aria but not the Captivate. I tried to follow the same steps in settings but the "add calendar" step (that shows other Google calendars I'm subscribe to) is missing on the Captivate.
Yes, Google CAlendars.
I don't follow you though. In the instructions I listed above, there is no instruction to select "Add Calendar".
I have the multiple calendars for ONE login. So I manager calendars once logged in, and added my Work calendar.
For my wife's calendar, we just turned on sharing of her calendar with mine and it is on the list of calendars to replicate.
If you are wanting to bring down a different calendar with a different login, then you need to go into the calendar program; select Menu, CAlendar Sync, then on that screen at teh bottom will be a button "Add Accounts". I didn't want to use that for my wife's because then when I go to the sync settins, I have 2 optoins: Sync Contacts, and Sync Gmail. I don't want to sync her mail, or contacts, just the calendar.
SUCCESS!

This helped and worked for me! I couldn't figure out for the life of me why I could not sync multiple calendars under one account to my phone!
Thank you a bunch!
Glad it helped you. I've gotten a lot of help on this forum. Its nice to know I can contribute value.
I have a problem that i wrote about in googles forum and got an answer that not worked for me, so i try here...
After i updated to Android 2,2 my Gmail and my twitter has stop syncing as it should.
My Gmail syncs for a while but then stops, and when i go to the gmail app and press refresh then the new mail comes up. For getting it works for a couple of days i have to go to settings, applications, manage applications and gmail, and there i have to clear data and cache. Then it works for a couple of days then stops again.
The answer i got is:
You can try the following for the gmail issue:
"So, to get my "connection" back:
1) Go into the settings menu for the phone
2) Choose applications
3) Choose Manage Applications
4) Under Manage Applications set the Filter to ALL. Not sure why this isn't the default but c'est la vie.
5) Scroll down and choose GMail Storage
6) Tap the botton for Clear Data
7) Head on over into GMail and VOILA!"
The problem for me is that i not have a GMail Storage..
Anyone else got the same problem?
Any solutions?
So after having an issue getting my Facebook to sync with my contacts I went through a lot of effort to find a solution. I eventually found the issue that was causing Facebook not to sync. At some point the Facebook app removed the sync option entirely from their app. Older versions had an option that you could enable contact syncing.
So to fix the problem first uninstall Facebook.
The next step is to go to Settings->Security and tick the option Unknown sources. This will allow you to sideload apps.
Then go to http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebook-2/facebook/facebook-31-0-0-20-13-android-apk-download/ and download the Facebook apk.
Then open up a file explorer and go to your downloads folder.
Tap the apk you just installed and then click install. You may need to press next a few times first or scroll down through the permissions.
After this press login and once you're at the main page for the app press the menu button.
Tap Settings.
Scroll all the way to the bottom where you will find Sync Contacts.
Tap Sync Contacts where you will be given three options. Choose the one that best suits your needs.
After that go to your phone's settings again
Find and tap Accounts & Sync
Tap the plus sign
Tap Facebook
Go through all you need to go through
Then when your back at the Accounts & Sync page tap Facebook
Make sure the checkbox next to Contacts is checked
At this point you can go to your People app and sync your contacts
I highly recommend you make sure Facebook cannot auto-update
To do this go to Play Store
Tap the three bars at the upper left
Tap My Apps
Go to Facebook and tap it
Then press the menu button
A menu should popup that has an Auto-update option with a checkmark. Make sure it is unchecked.
A little side note you will get notifications in Facebook to update. Just ignore them you do not have to update.
The issue started with Chrome bookmarks not syncing to the phone. So i went to Chrome>Settings and found out that "Sync isn't working" . So next i went to Account settings, but i couldn't find a auto-sync option there. Just a Sync now option regarding various account components (Calendar, Chrome, Contacts, etc). After syncing every component, my bookmarks still weren't synced to the phone.
After more research online i learned that Auto-Sync has to be enabled for Chrome to sync correctly. But i can't find from where to enable auto-sync. Everybody said from Settings>Data Usage, but there is no Data Usage menu anywhere. I also checked every menu and sub menu under Settings, and no Auto-Sync option.
Android version is 7.0 and build EVA-L19C432B386.
On my P9 it's like this:
Go to Settings, open "Accounts", tap on "Google" and choose what you want to sync.
Did that, does not work
Unfortunately i can't add screenshots yet (not enough posts) but i went exactly there and pressed the "Sync now" button at the bottom. It began to sync each component (a rotating sync icon appeared besides each) and when it finished i opened back Chrome, but no bookmarks.
A difference would be that in my case underneath each component it says "Auto-sync off, touch to sync", but this is because the Auto-sync option is globally turned off. I think i first have to enable it, and then the sync option from Accounts>Google will work too.
I looked at my P9, and the auto-sync can be enabled in Settings > Accounts > three dots in the right corner. Note that when the energysavingsmode is enabled, it is not possible to enable the auto-sync option.
I hope this helps
Yeap, that was the problem; power saving mode was enabled.
Very good solution
Yes , that's right. You can not turn on Auto sync while power saving is on. First, you should turn it off.
Thanks allot.
Thanks mate

I stumbled upon this myself too on Mate 10 Pro; Google not being able to sync and thus missing bookmarks in chrome. It was regardless of power saving mode. For email I use stock email app. Always when I open the app, a message appears that auto sync is turned off. Only when I enabled auto sync from here ("press here to enable auto sync") , is Google sync able to run.
