Hello all... I just flashed Darky Rom 9.1 in my SGS and I am happy in general...
Has anyone had problem with games in this rom?? I tried to run Worms but the app just closes...
Any idea why??
And btw, my firmware is 2.2.1... Would it be a good idea to get Gingerbread, I dont have warranty anymore since i bought it in US and im in Brazil now...

i play angry birds, gangstar, sandstorm and asphalt. (don't try nfs shift as it won't work on any galaxy s i9000)

move onto darkys resurrection rom. every bug fixed. u may have a wifi bug where it doesnt connect . all been fixed in new rom
I did, this is version 9.2 right?? The Worms game is working now, but ninja kaka just keeps freezing...
Well, but whatever, i guess there's not much to do here... If someone comes up with a solution I would appreciate though

I don't mean to offend, but on the darky's resurrection thread you seem to be struggling on flashing the ROM and now you suggest us to switch to darky's.

I can't play that game either as it just locks up when I press the start button. I'm wondering if something is up with the game as all my other games play just fine.
On Darky's ROM Extreme 9.2, Froyo 2.2.1, HardCore SpeedMod, JL2
Yeh i know. But then i got through it and did some research . And now i can give info back to xda. Im feeling a new rom now

Guys im currently using 2.2.1 Froyo XWJS8 its quite quick but freezes too much.
I just wanted to know of experience which is the fastest rom to use which uses little battery power. I was looking at Darkys rom but theres too many out there to choose from. I just want something really stable and quick all round especially the browser.
Any comments would be great.

Try Juwe11 rom, positive reviews so far. Just make sure you have the 3 button download / recovery mode before flashing.

darky's resurrection is a no brainer as a start(then u can update with cwm to his latest) i used his rom (now cm7)
it is stable and great support

do a search for thread starter Juwe11 over at the andriod development. I'm using mobile app now, sorry.
I never use Darkyy or Doc rom. Either i cook myself, or others.

what do you mean? darky's resurrection is a odin rom it is based on 9.2 it is easy to use (it will wipe your device btw.) because you almost can't do it wrong and then you can make an easy 9.5 upgrade

Might give it a whirl and see how they both go, i use my phone a lot and notice the problems about 2 hours after use.

just search all of darky's thread you will find resurrection edition
if you have freezes you should try it with a lagfix then (voodoo ext4 in darky)

ok will give it a go, ill try Darkys as i dont really want any buggy roms i cant be dealing with that,although upgrading doesnt take long its a pain when you got 2 kids running around lol. XWJS8 is crap :/

there is no definition of a best rom. there are many roms which are available for the sgs based on the different bases. the latest being js8. for me docs rom and darkys rom are the 2 best roms available out there,but there is not much of a differnce in between them..itz like 19-20. bt i have been using darkys rom for a while and i must say the latest v 9.5 is pretty stable and the best going on at this point of time. i recomend u to use dat rom.itz the fastets out there!
Thanks mate, i like the gingerbread theme he has added also and the unlock screen looks good. wander if theres a circle battery mod for it.
I will give you an easy way to check a rom .
These pages and Q& A pages scroll through few dozen of the initial posts note the rom that broke the OPs phone after reading about twenty or thirty posts you will find one name crops up time after time after time . Coincidence or just a bad rom i leave that up to you .

Hah iv read so many and so many different things and found a few that are good, its just i dont want to find out by installing all of them.
The one you are thinking of has multiple broke my phone /help posts .
Either rushed bad roms or hundreds of numptys use that rom for some reason .
Your choice .

Hi Im using darkys 9.3... with voodoo v5 lag fix... it works perfect for me.....but u need to find resurrection edition of 9.2 then upgarde using cwm....

Hi all,
I have noticed that, after installing GingerDX v14 (my first custom ROM), the accelerometer is laggy.
With Eclair I played N4S Shift and Asphalt 5 and the driving was smooth and precise.
Now with GingerDX is laggy and unresponsive, I cannot play a single driving game with accelerometer now, it is simple impposible.
Is there any way to fix that?
Anyone has the same problem?

normally those update will suitable if you are using the same android version.
if that was used in 2.2, then 2.3 may not use it.
normally same rom in newer version for example GDX 001 002...
actually is based on same version.

I installed Chocobread v1.2 by flowish in my Galaxy Mini and is awesome
but I have one problem, the wifi don't work in my Phone
( Every time I start the WiFi the phone freeze and restart )
after in WiFi settings mark Error.

The maker of the ROM is totally a beginner. I dont think you should be flashing ROMs just like that. IMO
i would suggest u try another rom as there are many good roms for mini available like cm7, emanon v3 etc........
Try typing *#*#526#*#* in dialler... there is a chance it'll work...

this is also a good custom rom
"Simple, Minimalist, Stable and Powerful rom"
it is difficult to say whether it is better than other custom roms or not since it is a matter of personal preference (i might like this while i might like another)

Chocobread have more bugs,... and wifi dont work for me too, but I fixed it, ... just extract ChocobreadROM, and go to system, wifi and replace it with cyanogen 7.1.0 wifi... it works for me , than Add to archive and install it in clock word mode, ... If I helped u , press Thanks button

i used emanon v6 and then i installed cm7 new experience by autoradio78., sorry about the crying..
in emanon everything works great but when i installed this new rom., my wi-fi doesn't work..

oh buddy... there's no need to make a thread for a small (almost meaningless) issue like "wifi not working" .... must be the ROM's fault...
if you want a cm7 build, the most stable and 'all-working' build is the official one which u get from cyanogenmod.com -- update-cm7.2.0-tass.zip !!!!!!!!
and to get the market and all other google apps working, you need to flash the gapps also(they are not preinstalled because of distribution issues with Google).

yes, i installed paranoidandroid ics rom and everything is working for me smooth and lag free. it doesnt even make i difference if go to youtube via browser or app it still works like a charm.

Hey! I had this same problem with ICS after flashing Team NYXs' mod. I went to their IRC channel and I was instructed to install devil kernel.
Fixed it right up for me.
