Download Home Switcher from the market.
Sorry guess I should have been clearer - I can't get back to see the market. It's like it gone back to factory.
just burn autonooter to an sd card and run it. you should then be able to get your rooted apps
To a different SD card? Or can I use the one in the NC?

It's not in the extras menu? (I think it's extras, I don't have my NC with me at the moment).

I too believe its under extras. You should be able to access the market from there as I can't see anyway you could remove root from switching wallpapers (also you dont need to switch to the BN launcher to do that, just hit the little arrow pointing up at the bottom and then settings.
Do you have access to ADB? If so, just install it that way, then go into your extras and launch from there...

Can someone explain what the advanced launcher is? Maybe I am just confused by the options it provides. What does creating a submenu do? What is the application drawer (when I click on it, the screen is blank)? What does it mean by the number of home screens? Tray Launcher columns? I've been on XDA for a bit of time now but I've never understood the Advanced Launcher thing.
I can answer some of these for you.
Sub menu, in the app draw (the thing at the bottom that you slide up with all of you applications) instead of everything all listed you can make folders so they are grouped.
Home Screens when you swipe left and right how many do you want? default is 3 1 middle 1 left 1 right but you can have more.
Tray launcher columns, in the app draw when you open it up how many icons wide do you want? I think default is 4 but you can set it higher and the icons are smaller so more fit in the window.

It is the Homescreen on steroids. Submenu means in the app drawer you can have folders to categorize apps. The app drawer is the tab that you pull up to see your apps. It lets you have more than the default 3, I think it allows for up to 10. How many apps do you want going across in the app drawer, 3, 4, 5?
Ahhhh, I see. So basically its useless for my needs...How do I delete it? In applications -> manage applications, there isn't an option to uninstall. Thanks, guys.

That's probably included by default. You can't delete it because I think there is no reg. homescreen included.
But if you want to try, then
rm /system/app/AdvancedLauncher.apk
I don't recommend it though

I'm using Cyan 4.2.12.2 w/Darkstar .6.8 and I flashed the AL separately. I wanted to check it our but it sucks IMO (not the AL itself but it sucks for my needs).
While I have your attention, I have also gone to only FAT32 and Linux Swap partitions because I wanted to see if things run faster w/o A2SD. I was trying to do my partitions via ADB and only wanted to use a FAT32 because I think I read Cyanogen doesn't use swap. I got some sort of error but I was at work and couldn't really pay too much attention to the error. So, I formatted with 64 Linux-swap and the rest FAT32 just to get my phone functioning again. Soooo, my question is, should I just keep the swap there or should I try to get rid of it and use all 8GB for FAT32? Do I need to delete any user.conf's that may be lingering in there somewhere? Anything else I should pay attention to given that I don't have an ext partition right now? Again, thanks a lot for your help.

Since it seems that it didn't work without swap I would keep it. It also helps if you ever want to use swap, then it doesn't require you to flash and reformat again
I have the G.O.T 2.2.1 installed and CM6 mod on my Milestone. I have removed ADW Launcher and installed Launcher Pro Plus as default home.
Many times when I'm inside an application and hit the Home button in order to get onto the Home default screen...the icons and widgets are not there and it takes 10-15 second for them to appear...It's kinda frustrating and I have to say that I was using the same Settings under the 2.1update1 stock and the launcher worked without these issue...
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

If you'd search for "lag" "launcher" in Motorola Milestone forums, you would have found this:
If you use ADW or LauncherPro and if after using your browser, email or any other apps for awhile, then if you press the 'HOME' button, if it takes forever to redraw your home screen, and you are sick of that HORRIBLE LAG, then try this: In a terminal,
type su and enter.
Then type echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 >> /data/local.prop and enter.
Then reboot.
Now evaluate whether or not this fixes your lag.
If you want to undo what this command does, simply remove that toggle from: /data/ local.prop

I have also tried every fix I could: Disabling Window Animations, the ro.HOME_APP_ADJ hack, low memory profiles for LauncherPro, but it ultimately boils down to the fact that the Milestone/Droid's RAM is the issue, as I've actually had this very same issue affect ADW launcher as well, and I'm sure it would creep up on other Homescreen replacements too
GOT 2.2.1 might make the issue worse because they might have baked in some things that take up a lot of memory, and when android reaches a point where it needs to kill stuff, it forces the widgets out of memory.
There's apparently a complete re-write of LauncherPro coming in the next few months, but even then I'm not sure it will be much help.

L.E.
Fixed: For those that are having this issue... Just disable "Keep in memory" from Launcher PRO "General Settings" and it will work just fine

Yes...As you can see I have deleted my "Later Edit" because after a reboot...the problem came back...
I'm having the same issue with watching live stream in the browser and some flash contents...It plays for a while...then it closes the browser...
I guess these things will be fixed when the final version of FROYO for our Milestone will be released...
Until then...maybe somebody is wise enough to help us! Thanks!

try enabling in adw settings>system preferences>system persistent. If you enable this Android will take some another witness for his killing process.
So, I've rooted my NC and I really like it as an Android tablet. (I have yet to use it for it's B&N intended purpose!)
One grief I'm having though is that I seem to only be able to place Apps into 4 rows X 4 columns. The attached screenshot shows what I'm talking about. I should be able to get another row if icons in between "YouTube" and "Police Radio" but, it just won't do it.
I know that this is a simple setting somewhere that I just haven't found but, I'm stumped!
I am running Zeam but, I ran into the same issue running ADW.
Anyone know what the issue may be?
Thanks!

Woo Hoo! Califrag to the rescue! That did the trick. Thanks!
I'm running 3.0, preview 4, and I had a question about the long press. On every video online, the long press on the home screen allows you to go into a screen that has apps on the bottom, and a display of all your home pages on top. In addition, there's a while boarder around each home page (that you can see when you scroll). Not only do I not have the thin white line boarder around the pages, but when I long press, it acts like 2.2 where it gives you a menu for widgets, shortcuts, etc.
What do I need to do to get the long press option everyone else has? Is that launcher pro, or am I just simply overlooking a simple setting?
Thanks everyone.
Nobody knows?

Does anyone know the launcher everyone is using then with 3.0 on Nooks? I want to guess it's Launcher Pro Plus, but I don't want to buy it until I know that's what I need.
Thanks for the reply btw.

Sounds like you are describing the stock launcher, which I use. I am not sure if it is different with deeper blues build, if that is what you are running. I am running HC on emmc version 2. I thought the two were basically the same, however.

What's weird is I have the same version as this guy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CEC0fcfbpM
...and yet, I don't have the +apps button on the top right, nor the boxes around each home screen which can be seen when he swipes between them, or the long press widget screen. It almost feels like mine acts more like Froyo with a pretty layer of HC on top. To confirm, mine is Deeper Blue's Preview V04.

Same stock launcher that I have. You may try to reinstall the Rom with a new image.
Do you know good instructions here to download a version of 3.0 that installs internally and that's over clocked but has the launcher shown above? (IE: yours)?
Thanks man.

So, if I read your post correctly, are you saying you now want to go with Honeycomb with an internal build, to the eMMC?
If so, then you need to check out samuelhalff's thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947071
I have been running that build since it first came out and loving it.
Sam's build will give you the stock launcher you see in the YouTube video you posted earlier. You should have also gotten that with the SD build from deeper-blue, but I have never run that version of HC, so cannot verify with certainty.
If any issues, you can always PM me and I will help you where I can (from a user perspective, not dev).
Good luck!
Quick question. I'm trying to over clock my 3.0 HC system, and in the instructions on Androidtablets.net says I need to find a program called Rom Manager to boot from. Where is this? I can't find it.
EDIT: Ok I'm dumb, it's an app... just trying to get it to install successfully. Thanks for dealing with a noob .
Ok, I'm trying to put clockwork recovery on there (since I didn't understand I needed to do that.. duuuhhrrrrrr). I downloaded the zip file, and put it on my SD card. I booted up Rom Manager, and hit Flash Clockworkmod recover. Then clicked Nook (old). However, it says 'An error occurred when attempting to run privileged commands!'.
Did I miss a step somewhere? Hopefully this is a slightly less embarrassing question . Thanks!
Is anyone aware of a nookhome alternative available for the Nook HD+?
For anyone not familiar, nookhome was a simple little app that would let you return to your original Nook Home screen, say if you had installed another launcher like GO Launcher or ADW or what have you, and set it as the default, this app would let you return to the original home screen and then pressing the home button would take you back to your third-party launcher. It was useful for those rare instances when you might need to return to the original home screen for something and had no easy way to get back to it. I used this app on my Nook Tablet quite a bit but it doesn't work with the HD+.

Yes, use Anycut, and create a shortcut to the activity named 'home'.
Thanks. Now I feel really stupid.
I already had Anycut installed and just hadn't paid attention to their being a Home activity.
I appreciate the help.

No worries, we all have to learn. I found that the B&N store and library were two other shortcuts I wanted.
