Anyone using imapmyrun ?

Hi folks,
as I said in an earlier post about the gps I wanted to test at the same time my old iphone 3GS and my new samsung galaxy S
I thought it would be best to use the same software and the only one I can think of was imapmyrun.
So this weekend my wife was driving on the highway ( so no building and the sky was cloudless) and I thought it was the perfect time
I siwthed on impamyrun on both.
On the iphone the fix took maybe 10 sec and the blue dot was moving witht he car and on the road ( so at leat 10m precision)
On the samsgun it took maybe 20-30sec to get the fix but then I started to record and ... nothing. The phone totally froze.
I tried to stop but I couldnt
I checked the memory and it was the only app with around 100 mo of memry free
After 10mn of hitting the stop button a reboot, 2-3 kill with autokiller, systempanel ... the record was still on. I the app creashed 10 times ...
So I didn't manage to run my test and I was crazy on my seat trying to make it work.
So ... anyone using it ? does it work fine ? Do you use an external sd card ?
For fun I used mytracs this morning during my run ( sunny like hell and on the coastal walk so no building closer than 100m) and look at what I got

A little bit scarry but as I have nothing to compare with it's a little bit useless

So why start a new thread about this, you already been in other GPS error threads. Try to be a little bit focused otherwise you may be considered as just complaining for some strange reason. Change your signature to the right firmware it now says JFF.

Actually the main purpose of my thread is imapmyrun
This is the software I use for my run and ride and I was using it on my iphone
So the only question I have is : is there anyone using it and do you have any trouble.
My feeling is that it has been ifrst done for the iphone and then maybe poorly ported to android ( mytracks is not bugged like this one ....)

Dungeon Defenders - network error

Tried to run Dungeon Defenders. It will load from the Market so that is good. The intro screen loads. But normally it checks that you are on wifi before loading patches. Unfortunately on the nook it pops up an error message about the network and being unable to reach the host.
I know it isn't the network since it works fine on my droid x. Oh well having that would be kinda cool.
Anyone know a way around that issue?

Where does your problem appear? I get the title screen, unreal screen, game spy screen, intro video, menu, I can play locally, internet gaming I can select a character and then it asks to login into my gamespy account. I don't have one and I really don't want create one. As far as i can tell it works.
I installed the came a couple of weeks ago and then uninstalled it because i did not like it but I never removed the data from my sdcard. After I read your post I reinstalled and it still works. Keep in mind this game wants to download 600 MB. So if your nook goes to sleep and yourwifi turns off you could have issues. What sucks is that it was $6 wasted since the market refund policy is now 15 minutes. Google really needs to change that again. It took 1.5 hours before I could even play the game in order to try it. I have a 40Mb/s internet connection so the problem was the servers that provide the additional contend that needs to be downloaded.

It runs for you? I got all of the data downloaded but then i crash during the loading screen

Well I'm not sure if it was the update to the program today or my reboot but in any event today it downloaded fine. Actually seems to run reasonably well although the interface is different on the NC then it is on the droid x. On the droid you move with a little joypad, with NC you click where you want to move to and the character moves there. Not quite sure how the game works as I didn't really play it much but it is bright and colorful and seems to run pretty good.

If a network error occurs, just click ok and then click on the dungeon defenders icon again, it will start where it left off and most likely fix itself. I've got Dungeon Defenders running perfectly and everything works. I was surprised at how smooth it was on the NC. You can enable the joystick in the options, and it is probably the only way you can do well at the game. I have never had a crash and rate it 9/10 on the NC (not my rating of the game, of how the nook runs it). There are millisecond hang-ups I would expect to see on any platform, but nothing bad.

Monster Madness

There was an update and not it supports 2.2 so I went ahead and downloaded it. I am having nothing but issues with it. It plays really choppy. Basically unplayable and it kinda sucks cause it took 20 minutes to download the data so I cant even return it.
Anyone else having issues with this game? I'm running Vegan 5.11

i am having issues with this game too. choppy if it even runs at all, and that's when it's not causing my entire tablet to freeze up.
My advice: wait to download this one until they have fixed the massive amounts of bugs that are floating around in it.

Also choppy and crashing. Wouldn't recommend anyone buy this yet.

This makes me sad, I had high hopes for this.

Did any of you try restarting your tablet after downloading? I downloaded and tried to run it and it was very laggy and was no good so I restarted and it works perfectly. I play it all the time with not one issue.

Since the last update, i've had no more problems with this game.

I did exactly that. In fact, the crappy part is that you can only get it with the supplement for VegAn-TAB 5.11. Otherwise, it is not visible on the market or available through the Tegra App. However, the supplement kept killing my audio and making my device starting hissing out of the blue as if it were possessed.
I have a service emailinto the company to see if I can get a refund or if they can send me an apk.
It sucks. It was nice, but I had to sacrifice audio or video. It never played 100%.

I downloaded an updated version. And now its like butter. Game is ok. I prefer gun bros

captain america market game

So I paid the whole .99 for captain America. It would run ok but almost all graphics were gray except captain. Tried uninstall/reinstall many times and it didn't help so I figured it wouldn't work. A week later i tried it and the graphics were fine. It baffled me why it worked?? Now its back to gray graphics again. Any clues anyone? I'm running brilliant corners.

Yeah I took it down to 1ghz on min and Max, killed a couple tasks and it worked normally once. I restarted it 2 mins later and back to gray graphics! It crashes the tablet sometimes when I exit the game. I read its working fine on transformer and xoom but of course that's HC platform. Has anyone else had luck with this game?

I get black boxes wherever graphics should be and haven't gotten past the first mission screen before it crashes.

My buddy has a gtab also running on brilliant corners (same as me). And he got CA and it works perfect for him. Also that gansta game works fine for him but black blocks for me in parts of the Game. What is different about his tab then mine? We both have 1.2 bootloader running brilliant corners. His games work 100% and mine don't. We need the experts to look at this.

If by gangster game, you are referring to Contract Killer, then I too have the black boxes...the card are solid black. I'm also running 1.2 Brilliant corners, using Clemsyn's OC kernel at 1500. I treid CA when on Calk/Clem and it wouldn't even load...it would cloase to home screen.
Heck with it, I'm trying CA again, wish me luck, I'll get back with what happens...
Edit - Well, I'm back, I first downloadedthe game content to SD card, tried to play and got REALLY choppy graphics and all black boxes. The entire bottom of the screen was black. Figured I'd see what happened if I downloaded the content to internal memory. The game played much smoother, but the entire ground is gray. I run, then stop, only to find out that there is an invisible "something" I need to jump over. I rebooted, tried again, still have all gray ground. So, it's not working...
Edit 2 for above quote...what kernel is your buddy running?
edit 3 - attempted wiht Pershoot kernel, no go there either, black parts, VERY choppy again...
edt 4 - went back to calk/clem, still not working

'Contract Killers' looks fine on Vegan 5.1.1, but I only played it a couple of times. By 'Gangster Game' He might mean 'Big Time Gangster'; That game works fine for me 90% of the time, but sometimes I get black boxes or during a gun fight I can't see the enemy's side of the screen.
Both of those games are published by Glu Mobile; they also publish 'Gun Bros' (doesn't work on my gTab, crashes at splash screen); 'Super KO Boxing 2' (I played for a couple of minutes, it worked fine)

Yeah bt gangsta is black blocks on mine. My friends gtab runs it perfectly on the same rom. I don't know what could be different between mine and his.

I decided to test it out on my kovsky. This coupled with I believe duckkly's kernels worked like a charm!! ill post the kernels up here too as I experimented with quite a few to see what worked best!
Battery life: 8 hours on full blast so i rekon around 11 on normal usage
Wifi: never ever ever dropped on me so far! thou it does seem to be weak in some places around my house where i usually should be getting more signals and strong at places where i get little signal :S.confusing
phone: well calls come in and stuff but sometimes ull see a black screen and cant see who's calling! :S
Bluetooth: paired with my mw600s just fine dont know about file transfer
market:works just fine a bit slow though..could be my internet speeds out here in pakistan.
Apart from that using whatsapp like a charm. facebook apps. gaaps everything works!! not a single sod to date been using it for around about 5 days or so.
Sorry for the spelling errors! big thanks goes out to neopeek and duckkly or whoever compiled those kernels !
PS: oh and the keys will freeze up as you hit around 20% battery. I simply reboot. Also terminal doesnt seem to be working. keeps crashing on me but i dont really ever use it in daily use so it seems to be pretty stable apart from these flaws. Also you'll need to reinstall quickpic from market
Also im on radio 1.16 i believe. 1.14 seemed to drop calls randomly.

can't confirm 20% battery being the point where keys stop working. for me 4 hours of uptime seems the be magic point...
i stopped restarting modules via script (how to has been explained many times in here) and simply restart. most of the time it happens when an app is running - now what good is it if you have a shortcut somewhere, but can't get there because back- and home-key isn't working?!
but yeah, neofroyo is a big step forwards. first time using android on x1 is fun!
for terminal to work you have to reinstall it just like quickpic.
i just hope we'll see some kernel-update soon. without it the whole thing is pointless.

lol truee..thanks for the terminal update. oh if u press the camera button it will take you back to your home screen. than i guess u could load the keyboard modules..annoying i never bother with it. try my combination of kernel it gives me decent battery lifee but yea its the kernel with all the problems. tried the new kernels but they dont seem to work properly

might try if i know which it is. just had to step down from ygge-monster to ygge-turbo. monster made my touchscreen getting unprecise in left half.
thx for the update with cam-button - never bothered to press that, since camera doesn't work anyway.
yeah, new kernels suck for our device, especially since they're missing the specific battery-driver for x1. the only guy still working on x1-kernel has been silent for months, but i can see he's still at it (porting 2.6.35.7).

Just tried pressing cam-button.
Falls back to lockscreen, after unlock shows homescreen. But system is frozen and after some time reboots directly to android. But lots of stuff doesn't work, especially phone-stuff. So i have to reboot winmo anyway.

i think its the ducckly's keyboard not loaded as modules turbo verison. I believe it should be that because i remember the msm drivers werent really working properly on it
