Here is the tegra optimized flash player from the Optimus 2X dump - G Tablet Themes and Apps

I'm suprised I haven't seen anything in this forum about this, but the system dump from the first tegra 2 phone has been around for a while. Here is the system dump thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931114
The libflashplayer.apk is attached.
It works great for me on the adam rom.
Vimeo HD is a little choppy but way better. ESPN3 is like butter. I put this is the dev section because I believe there is much that can be done with this system dump for the betterment of the community.

Thanks! I'll have to try this out later. I've already seen pretty good performance with flash so this should be even better.

Thanks! I'm going to check this out as well. I wonder if one of the devs can find something that can help with the gameloft games.

Hmm... installed on my GTab, and all flash video crashes now. I tried Youtube, and TheDailyShow.
Edit: Running Vegan 5.1 with Pershoot's kernel

Causes force closes of both my broswers anytime flash is needed. Went back to flash with the hulu fix. Works great

can someone please get this optimized version to include the hulu fix?

Moved to themes and apps

Not working in BitTrix CM7 in the Browser or Fennec 4 beta5pre.
YouTube app works the same as it did before.

Has anyone tried the widgets and other apps from the Optimus? I've seen some floating around in XDA but can't try them out yet. Just wondering if anyone already did. Especially the weather widget. That looks nice.

The weather news widget works for me in the above stated configuration

sweet!!! finally
This mostly likely contacts the server like all their others when launched and they will remotely disable the flash support...
this is now the baddest browser on the planet for android I would say give this a try even if you tried the first version. Its way better than version 1
It is finally actually a desktop browser with full flash.
Does it run slower than molasses still?

just try it man. There is nothing better. not even close
This won't parse on super eclair or myn's warm donut on my sd card i'm going to try to reinstall the system and see if that fixes the issues
It already soft reset my phone when going to google.com Using Super Eclair build.
hmm, one thing i've noticed having not used skyfire since WinMo is that it's alot slower then on winmo, sites take forever to load
Yea, it's still garbage... Flash isn't that important to me...
Doesn't run too smooth on our Phones, but i've seen it on the N1 and it runs silky smooth
I tried the flash and it's nice, but honestly i'd rather run the YouTube app. Opera gives a much nice and faster browsing experience imo
A bit off-topic here, but has anyone been able to play a High-Quality YouTube video from the app without the app fc'ing? Mine only plays on the low-quality...
Running Myn's latest!
you can download skyfire off the android market now

I wonder how it'd run on the incredible...
Edit: lol, nm, I totally forgot they were pretty much the same hardware... I don't know why I thought N1 was 800mhz...
tried it and I wasn't impressed. It seems like a skinned version of the standard browser? Also it was too slow to be useable even with my phone overclocked to 510

3d games on G Tab

I've done all the market hacks and tried all the tricks but im wondering why most of the actual 3d games i want to get to show off the muscle that this great little tegra 2 tablet can flex.
it seems like the games i want on here right now "pocket legend" and "rocket bunnies" don't show up in the market and I was looking forward to "dungeon defenders"
I think there needs to be a big push of actually finding a way to get the full market that my Nexus One gets...
This is mostly why i bought the tablet, and thanks to all the great devs here we've been able to get "almost" everything working (Thanks roebeet, et all)
maybe we can make a nice thread with some different market fingerprints and post market results? (or any other suggestions)
I am currently running the latest Vegantab beta4 fyi.

Well, as the guy who has tried all the market fingerprints and build.prop stuff and wrote the thread on the "full" market fix, I can tell you with some confidence that Pocket Legends and some of the other 3d games are a known issue - I have tried changing every build.prop setting to match that of my Nexus One (which finds those apps with no problem), and there are still a handful of 3d games that will not show up. I have also found that if you change too many of the settings in build.prop, you will eventually bootloop your G Tablet because Android itself gets confused about what it's running on.
You can find my notes on the subject in my posts on my thread in this forum on Full Market Fix.
In summary - the issue seems to be more than just using a different Market Fingerprint. That does not solve the problem, though it may make a few addition or a few less items show up. Right now, by most of my metrics, we have at least 95% of the items in Market showing up.
BTW, I have seen posts stating that the work around for Pocket Legends has been to download directly from their site, though I have not done so myself.
My understanding is that the CyanogenMod ROM for G Tablet does not require the Maket Fix and has no issues with missing items in Market because of the way the ROM image is built. I think the person to ask about this is bekriebel who built CyanogenMod for G Tablet - he can explain the concept of release-keys better than I can and how Market supports it out of the box on the CM ROM.
Unfortunately, it's a bit outside of my time availability right now to work much more on this, having already spent a day or more figuring out what I figured out. But please keep me in the loop if you figure anything else out!
I just thought it would be good to have a good constructive conversation about why else it might not be working... so the build.prop isnt the thing then.
its sad that 3d games are not showing up when this device was built for 3d gaming!
Pocket legends shows up on mine. got it installed...lemme try the other one..
EDIT: Strange they arent showing up anymore. when i was on Cyanogen 6.1 i Had them showing up. then again I didnt have the new market that looks like xbox live. strange...

this is what I'm refering to its so spotty. there is this great drawing app that i purchased that id love to use on the tab called "sketchbook mobile" but its not showing up for me either.
I know there have been lots of people working on it but it would be great if we could somehow compare market search results on some of them to find the best?
also if cyanogenmod has more working downloads is there anyway that the market from cyanogenmod can be rolled into Vegantab?
Dungeon Defenders is amazing its based on the unreal engine and really shows off this hardware.
If we are patient I am sure there will be many amazing games in the future for this CPU/chipset.
I had originally intended to only use the gtab until a good windows7 tab was released but after seeing Dungeon defenders on this system I seriously doubt any windows based tab will be able to come close to this tab for some time and I am sure the cost of a system like that will be much higher.
U need to check out this game to understand what I mean.

Agreed, DD plays perfectly on the gtab. Hopefully this is just the beginning of things to come once Honeycomb is in place and developers start making apps with tablets in mind.

ScummVM on NS

Just wondering if anyone has this emulating software on their Nexus S working? I'm attempting to run the 1.2.1 version from the website and all I get is a black screen. I heard it struggles to work with Cyanogen (I'm using NSCollab) but was interested if anyone uses this?
I'm interested in playing Monkey Island on there and have the game files, but I get nothing when opening the app.
I had mine working with Sam'n'Max Hit the Road on CM 7.0.1 on an earlier flash. I haven't reinstalled it since though.
EDIT: I've reinstalled on CM 7.0.3 stable and both Sam'n'Max and Full Throttle work.
I do find the menu buttons and scrollbars a bit on the small side for a touchscreen interface, but nothing worse.
Thanks for the response. I could not get the stock apk working from the scummvm website. However someone in the forums posted an alternate apk (not sure what is different) and that works well.
Thanks
This would be awesome. I could play I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream on my phone
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
It works on openSoju 0.2.1
Thought I'd add. This version of SCUMMVM badly needs some love from a programmer or two for UI improvements...
I tried installing and playing again and hit some snags very quickly: I can't right click with my fingers... (Or maybe I can, but there's not Android-specific documentation for SCUMMVM)
Maybe with a bluetooth mouse and keyboard, but I don't feel this is quite playable on the road yet.
Many UI elemants are pretty small for a touchscreen.
But otherwise the code seems stable and fast enough. Had a laugh watching the Sam'n'Max intro again after all these years.

[Q] Could someone with 3.2 please check if Tiger Arcade scales correctly now?

Hello, Acer Iconia tab owner here. Since we don't have 3.2 yet, I was wondering if one of you could please check if Tiger Arcade works now with the new zoom feature...it didn't use to scale correctly. Thanks!
I just tried Tiger GBC playing Final Fantasy Legend and it looks and runs fine.
I'm not running stock 3.2, though. I'm using the 2.0.1 Tiamat ROM.
That's great to hear! Did you even have to use the new zoom feature? For me, 3.1 on the Acer, the window is tiny, games run but are more like phone-sized. Also, what version number of Tiger Arcade was that? Thanks for the info!
or actually, just understood that you said GBC, so gameboy...alright, that's cool to hear as well, but Arcade (Mame) is what was causing my issue. Would you mind testing that?
I don't have Tiger: Arcade. It doesn't seem to be on the market anymore. Do you have apk and a game rom?
Scales great. I have a hard time finding roms that work on it though. The rom that I tested it with was "Mega Twins". All the scaling options worked great. What roms work for you?
That's great to hear! It was an unplayable small screen on 3.1, awesome. What version of Tiger Arcade is that?
For roms, I've used this: http://www.coolrom.com/roms/mame/
I've tried at least a few of the Metal Slugs and 1944, those at least worked good (as far as I could tell from the small screen). It supports gamepad too, so I'm looking forward to hooking this up to a tv and having a portable console =)
Thanks for testing! And ccossin - I couldn't find the site where I downloaded the apk right now, but I should have it bookmarked on my home machine. I can get back to you (or perhaps Mr Bland can say what version and where he got it from).
Edit: Oh yes, for many ROMs you need the "neogeo" rom as well. So that might be causing problems, remember to get that rom too.

Thanks for this.
You know what, I can't find the bookmark (I guess I didn't make one) and I couldn't locate it again although I tried googling a bit. Unless somebody else can point you to the right page for downloading it (they were pulled from the market), I can of course mail you the apk, if you'd like. Just PM me with your address and I'll send the apk over. Or if somebody else has the link for downloading the emulator, please share, it'd probably help others who come to this thread too.

It is version 1.4.4. I bought it from the market before it was removed. I haven't tried Googling it but you could try one of the alternative markets. Slideme, Andappstore, and a couple of others that are actually mostly warez but are good places to check for apps no longer available; Google should be able to help you.

Themed Moto FM Radio?

This is my first post here and I apologise in advance if this is a stupid question. I'm not sure if this should be under themeing or development. I'm using MotoFMRadio for my radio app on the D3 (pic1). It's version 2.3.5. Most of you have probably seen it posted around for the D3 and Bionic. It works well but it's ugly as hell and is missing some graphics. On other phones like the Droid x and X2 it looks realy good. I was wondering if anyone has a version that looks right on the D3. Something similar to the second pic. Has anyone ever tried to get this to look right on the D3. If no one has, could it be done.
Hi and welcome to xda
Well, I was searching for a good version some times ago too, and found this version. It looks great, and the volume control works when the app is minimized too.
Give it a try.
I tried to test this, but couldn't get it to work. This is verion 2.2.4 of the app I'm already using. Version 2.2.3 installs like any sideloading app would and verion 2.2.5 will work if set as a system app and permissions changed. For some reason I can never get version 2.2.4 to work. If I try to just install it, I get a "application not installed" error. If I move it to system/app and change permissions and reboot, it doesn't show up in the app drawer. I'm I doing something wrong here.
Well, I am on 5.7.894, I have it installed as a system app.
I'm on 5.7.906. That may be my problem then. Just out of curiosity, does this version look right on the D3. Does it have the blue background and all the right buttons.
Yes it does, absolutely no graphical glitches or anything. Consider downgrading? I am on 5.7.894 because of the Atrix Camera and this FM Radio!
I honestly had thought about downgrading even before the fm radio thing. I had several Gameloft titiles installed that worked fine before the update. After the last update Splinter Cell and Modern Combat 2 FC constantly and the screen on N.O.V.A. 2 is off center now. I saw on their website after the update they pulled those from the list of D3 compatible games. Kinda feel like I wasted money on games I can't play anymore. A downgrade is definatly a option I'm considering right now. Thanks for the help. I was a little worried the Droid 3 forums were kinda dead.

D3 forum is great, you should check out the Galaxy tab2 forum. A million threads asking the same questions. Frustrating

I have been using a signed version 2.3.4 from the Defy that looks the same as what the OP posted and installs and works on 5.7.906. Its posted here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17627727&postcount=11734
It has some graphics issues sometimes but hardware volume control works outside of the app and with the screen off. I'd like to get Holo FM made for the Defy working but the apk refuses to install.
The Holo FM app doesn't install because its for 4.0+ only
