This tool is only for Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 aka HTC Kovsky!
Barin (asusmobile.ru team) presents you new ROM Update Utility for Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 - KovskyAdvancedRUU
Main features:
1. You can select NBH you want to flash. All NBHs should be placed in the folder where you have extracted KovskyAdvancedRUU.
2. Information about selected NBH (Modification date, Model ID, CID, Version, Language, Chunk size)
3. Auto-restart after Task 29.
4. Possibility to choose flashing mode.
Flashing modes:
Regular Flashing Mode. Auto Hard-Reset. Don't use this mode to flash radio and splash if you don't want to lose your data!
After flashing process Hard-Reset will be done automatically. This mode is highly recommended for flashing OS section (any ROM posted in this section, for example).
Custom Flashing Mode
Hard-Reset won't be performed just like in well-known CustomRUU.
Task 29
Full format of OS section. You will have to flash any ROM after usage!

anyone tried it on her/his X1?
Confirm tool working
Just did a flash with the tool.
It's identical to Customruu once you've chosen the mode you want to work in.

Further test
Just did a task 29 as well.
Apears to be built in. Nice.

Yes, I was main tester of X1 version. Tested in all modes. Works even with some other "surprises" of this week.

I have gone though several threads but still can't find an answer to my question.
I have the Spanish Vodafone 6.0 update which I have already installed on Treo 750v devices using the SD card method (copying CHEEIMG.nbh to a formatted mini SD card and boot phone in bootloader mode with the card inside).
I need to apply this update again to a Treo 750 (not Vodafone) so I'd like to remove the carrier customization.
Even though I have flashed many phones I'm very inexperienced when it comes to modifying/cooking ROMs.
My question is: I have the HTC ROM Image Editor. If I remove the two files that show up in the Extended ROM, save the ROM file (nbh file) now with a clean extended ROM, and use it to flash a phone, will that unbrand the phone?
As I see it and with my limited knowledge on the subject, if I remove the extended ROM from the ROM image (before flashing the phone) then I flash it with the edited ROM then it won't install the carrier customized features. Am I right?
This is how the ROM image looks like after removing extended ROM files and saving the changes.

Please, help a newbie.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. If someone has a Spanish WM6.0 Treo 750 generic ROM and can upload it somewhere, please let me know. That would also help me resolve my problem in a much easier way.
I suggest you remove everything except the "OS" when cooking roms; after extracting the nb files from the nbh, the os.nb is the only file that is worked on.
additional, you should remove any thing in the ext partition before reflashing because the carrier junk will still be there even if you flash with a custom rom. Look into the Unlocking and Unbranding thread for that.
Thanks for your reply. Actually, I'm not trying to cook a ROM, I'd just like to know if after removing the extended ROM I'll be able to flash a phone with the modified ROM image and leave it unbranded.
Based on your reply, I'd say the answer would be yes.

TouchX
Just let you know that the most stable, recommended ROM which run fastest is the TouchX series!
personally i never found a real need for task 29 for my device.
i also found the latest TouchX Roms to be better, more stable, faster, smoother, longer battery life than all the mentioned roms.
Mentioned it !

Thankful for every reply.
i think you should add the 826x roms by Williyung cause they are the most stable roms that i have ever flashed
i recommend every x1 xperia user to try to flash it

From here. Use 10.10 OMG, don't use RC versions, because of SOD.
Some fine tuning also needed, so read the thread from page 171 post 1708.
Don't use EzInput as well, because after the hardware keys will not work properly and it is uninstallable.

Hello and thank you for the nice rom!
It would be great if you could add live walpaper to work with this rom
And i have a problem... when i turn off the phone and i open it again it can not find the sd card. All the sour cuts and widgets don't work because the sd card cannot be detacted. When i connect the phone in pc i can see th sd card.
I only fix this by doing fron restore , clear to factory settings /update.zip and then reboot. I have the rom and all the programs i have to install from the start! Any idea what this could fix it?
Thanks once again for your work
When I downloaded & installed Nega's GSM Rhodium Kitchen Rom on my HTC Tilt 2 (ATT version of Touch Pro 2/TP2), I was pleasantly surprised by the extra flashing options offered compared to the regular simple RUU ROM updating tools normally included in custom ROMs' zipped files: Task28 for flashing the OS ROM, Task29 to format the phone for a clean install & Task32 to flash the radio or the boot splash image(s).

So after some detective work, found Barin's original thread, the creator of that RUU modification here on the www.asusmobile.ru Russian site. Translated to English here (with dropdown menu for other languages).
I attached the RhodiumWAdvancedRUU.zip file to this message for convenience.
I successfully used it to run Task29 and flash 3 different ROMs on my Tilt 2, including the above, deepshining 29019.Touchstone & an Energy ROM as well as used it to flash the Primary Boot Flash image seen first when booting the phone.
How to use it:
Download & unzip RhodiumWAdvancedRUU.zip.
Download & unzip you favorite ROM.
Copy RhodiumWAdvancedRUU.exe to your ROM's folder & run from there & select your choice & file.
Et voilà!
You can drop a radio or primary and/or secondary boot splash or other ROM's .nbh files in the same folder & simply select what you want to do with the advanced RUU tool. Add PagePool Changer (PagePool_Changer.exe) to the folder & play.
Note: remove the back cover of the phone before connecting to PC as after running Task29 you keep phone connected and press simultaneously the volume down button & the red reset button on the side of the phone to get back to bootloader mode (red, green, blue & white window) to be ready for flashing the ROM or other stuff as the RUU utility will conveniently restart automatically for the next task.
-------------------------
If you don't see the Thanks button next to Quote then check bottom left of this page and switch to the XDA 2010 UI instead of the old XDA Classic.
This tool is designed to work with RhodiumW devices, however I used it for a very long time without encountering any problems. Soooo, for my experience it's safe and well-grounded to use this advanced utility.
I'm also including this tool as a recommended flash tool in my rom packages.
