Note: This is just an effort to make navigating themes a bit easier for those new to the android scene and the captivate. Veteran XDA members, feel free to tell me if I left something out, or if something is wrong. NONE of these themes/mods are my own work. The authors/creators will be posted next to each corresponding theme.​
As with all themes/mods you decide to put on your phone a standard disclaimer follows:

This started as a personal project to get my phone looking like the latest version of Google's OS as I knew it was a slim chace we would get the real thing, and because I wanted to learn a little more about how Android works. There was quite a lot of people showing interest in it, so I decided to post my work for everyone to use on thier Hero's. It has now transformed into somthing alot bigger than I ever expected. There is a lot of community work included in this theme, and I want to say thanks to a few people for thier contributions in either content or testing:

Installation steps:
Step 1: Download all four zip files, and put 'GingerFroyo-v2.2-signed' and your choice of keyboard on the root of your SDCard.
Step 2: Reboot to recovery and flash both updates (order doesn't matter)
Step 3: Boot up your phone and apply the XML file via "Settings > Cyanogen / Villain Settings > User Interface > Tweaks Extras > Select a theme > Gingerbread"
Step 4: Extract the files from 'GingerFroyo-Additional-Files' for dock icons and wallpaper to complete the look!

HTC Hero: CM6.1.0, FroydVillain 1.7.0 - 1.7.2, Elinux 2.2.1 Final Android Stock, Floyo 1.2.0 (you will need to flash his 'CM Untouched Theme' first!!)

Nice work. I feel bad now that Froyd 1.7 is out Shouldn't be too big a change, but the apks have been updated.

Should be a piece of cake tbh, i will get a 1.7 version up first thing tomorrow. I am looking into making the whole thing flashable too

If you read the first post l0st.prophet says that this is a known bug and that he's working on it.
Also l0st.prophet can we have a version for floyo 1.1.9 (i think that's the current version) please.

Use theme porter and just port this framework to original Floyo... I have a floyo and it worked well...

Hey dude, I just made a metamorph for the Hero with these things resized (I used the HDPI versions in the SDK as source).

Ps. I haven't figured out the whole menu text colour thing either (prolly one of the xmls in drawable), so I kept the original menu_background.

Exactly what i was gonna do tomorrow! Looks like you beat md to it. If i work out how to change the text in the menu and the pulldown notification i'll let you know as your metamorph is alot.more flexible then my method. Feel free to us the bits for LP and keyboard in your post, if yours works on Froyd i will close my post and point it to yours, no sense in maintaing two versions!

Yeah in the excitement i over looked the info and drived in, altho i was still under control to remember to nandroid, also pleased to hear that it will be ported to other roms once its cleaned up a little

Im doing a clean install of FV 1.7, will probably be testing in an hour to two

[Theme] -BLIZZARD for JT's version 7 Vanilla ROM - REMIXED and TRANSPARENT

Over the last few weeks I've spent a lot of my time inverting apps and making them transparent so I decided to take a little break from my 'Themes Break' and make some system apks transparent, also.. This is not a 100% product yet but it's close.. I just have few images I wanna edit and a couple apks are partially transparent... Nonetheless, it's pretty cool looking and I don't see a lot of themes supporting this much transparency so I hope ya enjoy it...
*MAKE A BACK UP FIRST!!*
Installation Instructions:
Just download the main zip and either install it via rom manager or boot into recovery from the power off menu or rom manager and install from recovery.. wipe cache and dalvik cache, also.. I did all the xml edits so the text colors are a lighter gray, not white...
Also, check that your Gmail is in system/app.. if it's in data/app then just uninstall it and mine will install to system... if it's already in system, then mine will flash over it

This ROM is based off AT&T 2.3.6 (4.5.140), using SamCripps fruitcake.
Now Includes Faux123s Unified Kernel. (v024 1.45GHz).
Stock AT&T Kernel Available in MODs sections.
It includes the stock 2.3.6 AT&T kernel.
International users will have to either, apply the RamFix or flash Fauxs kernel.
Languages Included:
Please take care when flashing and do not restore any system apps or apps that may cause issues.
A fresh start, for every app, is recommended.

I have a hard time believing mr themer would make a rom that's not themed but i'm sure if it isn't there will be themes for it quite quickly and wouldn't be surprised if his other ones work.

I may later on, for now I'm keeping it as it is from the fruit cake except for the noted changes in the log. I haven't swapped any apps yet, including gallery. But 1080p is enabled non-the-less.

Perhaps in the future. Isn't there a flashable zip out there for it anyhow?
Also, this is for Bravia TVs, correct? I haven't really look at it too much.

[THEME] 6.7.2013. FINAL!! Black theme for CRESPO JellyShot ROM v5

Black theme for CRESPO JellyShot v5 Final is up!
So, some of you guys allready know that there is my black theme for JellyShot rom made by Articudos.
Now i got some time and decided to open a new thread for it.
Ofcourse, link to this thread will be in my signature and posted in roms thread, 3rd POST.
This is the LAST theme update for JellyShot ROM because that rom reached its final state. Time for Articudos and me completely retire from Nexus S!
This is NOT vr-theme, and its NOT theme chooser theme, this is flashable theme ONLY for JellyShot v5 Final for CRESPO devices, you can try on CRESPO 4G but i wouldnt recommend. Risk is on you.
It includes:
-themed (black) notification icon background in notification bar
-themed (blue on dark grey) progress bar
-quick settings toggles holo blue when pressed (optional)
-black popups, menus, toast messages - pure black, not like in rasbeanjelly
-black blackground for notifications (like when you receive sms, email, for IME switcher etc)
-black notification bar (without bottom ugly color)
-black quick toggles background
-blue loading circles
-blue mod (to remove gingerbread orange leftovers)
-old orange progress bar changed to blue
-make gradient background to be black
There are still few gingerbread images, but i wont bother to change them, you dont see them much.
NOTE:
*MAKE BACKUP, i am not responsible if your device bootloops or i dunno, smiles at your face..
*if you have some other mod installed, this will not work, it will force close and maybe make your device bootloop.
*if you want my theme and other mods to work together, try this: flash rom, reboot, flash my theme, reboot, flash other mod, reboot (thanks to androidphone2012)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Just flash over JellyShot v5 Final, no need to wipe anything, you can only fix permissions.
PRESS THANKS button if you like it.

Try to set your targets again. Also try fresh install and see if its working.
EDIT: If others report the same problem, i will look into it.

It should as long as its not 4g phone. If it is, i wouldnt recommend you to flash this.
