[Q] Unlocking Problem Galaxy S

Hello guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S, I9000 locked to Orange.
I tried the SGS Unlock to get the Code and it did, but when i insert the code it says code wrong.
I flashed to another ROM and still no luck.
Can somebody tell me whats wrong?
Can it be that the counter i locked? How can i check this?

Use the "For Windows UPDATED!!! With Un-Freeze Codes" method, you have also a video guide for it. The two apps I found didn't work for me.

hi guys.ive just got a galaxy s and its locked to tmobile its new and boxed and doesnt come with a sim card.thing is im on o2 and i want to unlock it.can it be done without a sim card in the device.i havnt got the phone till tommorow but ive got all the software and instuctions how to do it ready.also it running froyo.does it need root as well.any help will be apprieciated.

you could use ( one click unlock ) not very hard two do,just save efs files then click unlock, one thing though if u are on froyo 2.1 click the the froyo 2.1 option or 2.2 if you on 2.2 froyo,but i think you need root to use this program (mite be wrong)

it depends on the model of the galaxy s. In most cases, you will need to root the phone.

Help Pls
I had successfully unlocked my galaxy s using the procedure suggested on the related XDA forum.. the phone worked fine with a different network later on i accidently clicked the factory reset option.. now although the phone says its unlocked but i cannot see any network signal and the phone does not work on any sim card.
Pls can someone help
PS: I can switch on the phone and perform all other functions.

Try the one click unlock app thingy again, see how that pans out.
Also try this:
Go into settings > network and coonections > mobile networks > and manually choose your provider.

Mine is locked to my network also, but I'm now running Gingerbread. Any way I can get an unlock?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S I9000

I've read the guide to unlock my Device but no success so far.
I have a Device from UK but I'm in Portugal.
I would like to unlock my Device to use it with any SIM Card world Wide or, at least, with one of the 3 Portuguese Operators (TMN; Vodafone and Optimus).
When I turn on my Device with my no authorized SIM CARD the phone starts normaly and there is no unlock prompted. I get GSM access but no 3G access, which means that I'm able to make phone calls but no data is available. I get no access to the WEB.
Can anyone help me with this situation?
btw: when I insert a TMN SIM CARD (another Portuguese Operator) I get FULL ACCESS (GSM and 3G). I think this is weird!!!

I don't have the same problem like tryyyniii. I bought my SGS in the Middle East, particularly in Bahrain. Can someone please help me on how to upgrade my SGS. I already have samsung kies and this is what appears when i connect from keis and try to upgrade my phone:

I really don't know what the problem is. I don't have the android market app, I can't use my video call for skype and yahoo messenger, and this really sucks. I searched for solutions, and i'd really like to try to flash and unroot, but i don't like to brick my phone if something goes wrong, because this is what happened the last time i tried to fix my phone with this method:
1- Backup all your files and apps (after this, the device will be just like new)
2- Set the watch to 24 hours mode
3- Dial this code: *#272*HHMM* (HH for the current Hour MM for the current min)
4- Then chose xsg
I get the market app and it works but my problem is, my simcard isn't working at all; I cant send sms or call, so in short, the network simcard became unavailable. Luckily, i still have warranty, so i returned it to the shop were I bought it, and they can't fix it unless they pay 30$ for the repair, so they just replaced it with a new one.

I am new on the Samsung galaxy tab's world and I need your lights.
I bought from my Country the Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 with the below features:
PDA: P1000BUJMC
Phone: P1000BUJM2
CSC: P1000njRjm3
I followed your guide (showthread.php?t=888071) and the process was failed somewhere before the end.
After I followed some other guide and I use some other files from the thegalaxytabforum and from samfirmwares.com sites and after I see that my Tab features had been changed to the below:
PDA: P1000BUJMC
PHONE: P1000BUJM2
CSC: P1000VD2JM3.
Also I observe some changes on my Tab. These are:
a. The local settings has been changed to German.
b. After I used an application which I don't remember now, the functions keys light has been dissapeared.
c. I Listen a noise when I try to call.
So, I have some queries for you:
1.Which of the two process above is the correct?
2.How to reback my country's settings? Is there any secret code for it?
3.How to switch on the light on the menu,home, back and search keys?
4.How is the correct proccess to upgrade my tab firmware -if there is the correct firmware on my tab now-to android 3.0 -honeycomp like Samsung Galaxy tab 10.
5. What is the operation of PIT,PDA AND CSC files?
6.what is the difference between a protected and non protected bootloader?
7. Does PDA is the Bootloader?
8. Does the protected Bootloader mean that the phone is locked from the provider?
9.How to change a protected Bootloader with a non protected?
10.Are there different upgrades for the samsung galaxy tab for every country or not?
11.Can I find and download an other country upgrade for my tab? Is it right or not?
12.Can I fix the above problem with call? Is there any secret code to fix it?

Friend rangercaptain, I tried to install the Honeycomp or Android 3.0 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000.
If you read again my thread you will see somewhere in the middle that I write for the xda-developers.com guide.Also, I write that I used files from thegalaxytabforum.com and samfirmware.com sites.
So, my problems are three:
1. I want to re-install the frist default settings on my Tab and I don't know where I can find these files on the internet.
2. I want to recover the functions keys light or better the light on the screen's menu.
3. I want after setup of First Default Settings , to install the Honeycomp on my Tab of 7 inches same like Samsung Galaxy Tab 10's firmware.
I believe that I explained you what is my goal and what I want to recover on my Tab.

You can get JMC rom at www.samfirmware.com.
Although your country is Greece, what carrier is your tab from? Maybe there is a stock rom from your carrier.

friend my carrier is Vodafone GR.
Could I found something about it?

You can start a new thread asking someone to extract a backup of that carrier stock rom. Then you can flash it like any rom. Start the thread, and I'll help you.
Be sure to put the carrier in the title and be specific about what you want.

I did a mistake. My carrier is not Cosmote but Vodafone GR. I confused it with my second phone's carrier.

I need help.
The cell phone of my daughter does not connect to the cell phone provider.
The history:
My daughter bought 6 mounts ago an Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. She made many pictures and videos , so that both memories of the phone was full. Than she made an official update vrom version 4.1.1 to 4.1.2. After some days she got problems to make a call. She cant make a call by her self, and also she cant got a call. If she tried to call, the got a notification, that the cell phone does't registred by provider. The phone was not rooted and has a stock room on those time.​
My activities to solve this problem:
I read many threads about brocken IMEI, or problems with base band, but on this phone ist the IMEI ok, also baseband.
At first I made a factory reset.
Second I rooted this phone and flashed an custom room from maclaw. But this does't solwed my problem too.
If I start this phone, I got always an notification message in the top of display, that the cell phone provider does't selected. If I try to search one provider, I see in the phone all available provider on my geo position, included my cell phone provider. This search lasts very long, about 5 minuts. After the search is finished, I try to connect to my cell phone provider, but without occur. I get a message that the connection is not possible on this moment, and I have to connect later.
At last I try to change radio from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548453&page=2, but also without success.​

go to settings - more setting - mobile networks - netmodus - choose auto modus
the go to settings - more settings - mobile networks - third point (the one under data roaming) and choose your provider.
update your baseband to the latest one XXAMJ3 (flashing with CWM or TWRP)

HI, and sorry for my late answer.
I tried to configure like your description, but it dos'n help. Thank you anyway.
What I tried to make also. I installed a rooted stock rom, and update after that to a new radio XXAMJ3, but it does'n help to solve my problem to. I can't make a call, or send a SMS anyway.
Have somebody an idea to solve this problem?
The SIM card oft this cell phone works very fine. I tested it with another phone.

Exactly I am with the same problem. There is no issue about sim card or service providers. It is all about the phone. Please tell me the solution.

You may try others baseband versions, If none of them fix the problem it's probably hardware related.
A simple way to do that is flashing different versions of stock firmware, just make sure it's for the right variant GT-I8910 N L T

Long story short...
My son's i8190n has been rooted for over 2 years. He has a new phone and I proceeded to update to a new rom. After that I think I messed up the modem/baseband somehow. The recovery is TWRP from maclaw.pl. At some point I even managed to soft brick this phone. I was able to use Odin 3.10 to install a stock rom unrooted.
I can:
* Install any rom and/or baseband
* Leave it unrooted or rooted
* Everything seems to work fine except...
I can't:
* Register the phone to my network
Tried different SIM(s) from different providers, but still no go.
Any suggestions?
