Does anyone have an apk of Tap n Tap Western keyboard? I would like to try it on my Dell Streak.
Want to give you a +1 bump. I'm in the same boat with the Adam & I can't seem to find the apk
Someone running VEGAn rom could pull the apk using titanium. Would do it but I wouldn't have a place to upload it so you can download.
Sent from my Chromatic Magic using XDA Premium App
Bump bump. Please. Someone.
Ill pull it for ya and throw it in my drop box. Ill post the file here in just a little while..
I know this isn't necessarily what you were looking for, and I am still trying to get the west.tnt keyboard. In the mean time here is a link to a few others that might interest you.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14075340/LatinIME.apk ---close to the original (I think)
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14075340/AdamKeyboard.apk -- an adam keyboard.
Ill keep looking for the original but let me know via PM if these helped or not ...
There are 2 files needed
You need to copy two files. The first one needs to be saved in /system/app/TapNTapIME.apk and the second file needs to be saved in /system/lib/libjni_tapntapime.so. I've placed a copy of them in my Dropbox folder for you.
TapNTapIME.apk

Just a warning. I tried this once because I wanted a split keyboard for honeycomb. No joy. It just kept force closing on me.
Try the A.I.Type keyboard for tablets still in beta:Here

Hi all,
Just got my 2nd new Kaiser (first one had White Screen of Death) and it also has the home page as a black screen with the HTC logo; not too usefull. Any ideas how to get back the Welcome Screen that has your most recently opened pages and search? Thanks for any ideas...
Ok, well I tried just copying over the default_0409.htm file (checked and all the image files etc. were already in the Windows directory). This brings up the correct looking page, but the Favourites and History buttons don't work; they open File Explorer at the Windows directory instead!
Would be glad for any ideas for what is missing on my Kaiser that I could copy over from the Hermes.
I have attached the file if anyone would care to have a look; I searched to see if any other html pages were linked for example, but I don't know script...
I tried the same thing but no luck
*bump*
Does no one else want this start page in IE? Thanks in advance for any ideas...
bump, that page is on the Mio A501 and it's pretty neat !
Guess no one else likes that page, thanks for the bump though! I have been fiddling but still can't get it to work....
Solved ------> HTC's PIE_Default_409.htm
Okay, There are two ways to do this!!!! The first is time consuming & involves multiple registry changes. I can walk you through it or send you a registry file to import (if you wanna trust me ) or you can do it the easy way!
Easy Way: I'm sure many of you have the absolutely great proggy SK Tools. Well, the new release (4.1.21.x) has a "Replaced Rom Files" function. So either buy the great program or download the trial. Launch the "Replaced Rom Files" tool & check the box for the item marked PIE_Default_xxx.htm (xxx = your language code), either click & hold or check the box, then select action, then select "Restore Rom File". Then enjoy your new "original" HTC PIE Homepage with expandale History & Favorites!

Not sure, might help if you post a JPEG of the screen? The TXT file you included does not work for me.
I just put together a cab file for this today using some files posted by another xda member (I don't remember who it was to credit them).

DANG IT YOU DOG! I jumped the gun on my post! I spent the last week flashing back & digging to find all the references that kept me from changing the by just importing the default_xxx.htm. I finished my cab & logged back in to post it & darn it all if you hadn't beat me to it!

LOL. It's pretty simple to correct with all the correct files. I actually just copied the files to my Windows directory when I first tried it out but figured I'd post a cab file to make it easier on everyone else
thanks for sharing, works fine on the Nike too.
Hi,
I tried running the CAB on my stock Orange HTC ROM, but I still get the orange homepage, not the (more useful) Internet Explorer page as promised above! Any ideas?
Your folder structure must be different. Did you soft reset after install? Otherwise you can do it with SK Tools if it was part of the original ROM.
I did soft reset, but no joy. I may look into SK Tools, although I have just managed to get Opera Mini up and running, so may play around with that instead. Thanks for the advice!

You can go into PIE under Menu, Tools, Options, and see the path and filename for your current homepage. It's possible that Orange uses a different filename as the default page. If you tell me what the filename is and where it's located I can make an updated cab for you.

Here you go. This file is for devices with the Orange ROM only!
You can uninstall the old one first.
Are you guys able to browse with PIE while on 3.5G/HSDPA?
After I open PIE, I receive this same screen on my Tilt, but I'm unable to browse anywhere (my hsdpa account is activated, of course).
I receive (in the bottom left corner) a message: "connecting", but nothing happens.
On the other hand, If I browse with WIFI on, using PIE, I can enter any URL without any problems at all.
In both cases, I can send & receive emails without any problems.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
As I replied to your other post, check your proxy settings. Which data plan do you have? Are you connecting to WAP or ISP?
i have been looking around for some good games on te wing and i found a site that has plenty. i downloaded a few of them, but they are all .jar or .jab files. i understand that these have something to do with java, but how do i get them to run?

i'm gonna try KDKobes method. if anyone gets these to work, please let us know.
glad to see some interest in this one
IT WORKS!!!! ok, very simple to do actually. just pick a game that fits your screen (320X240)
KDKobes said it right. programs/esmertec jbed/menu/install/localfiles
the first time i did this i was asked to save to root. can someone please help me save these to a place on the SD card. i looked around and cant find the "root"
http://www.getjar.com/software/
Probably one of the biggest collections I know of.
www.mobile9.com
I used to get .jar's there when I had my P900 and Symbian. But they should work on the wing too, if the screen size is the same.
thanks... some games uses 1 3 7 9 and etc... so when i push my my wing i can't see half of the screen on the game... something that sucks about it.

Ah, another ex-symbian user. I used to be a S60 user, though. I had the Nokia 3650. That phone was weird... I still can't believe I used that keyboard... but it was actually pretty well designed. Ugly... but well designed.

so were you able to install the games? because i did the same thing you did and when its finds it, it takes me to this screen where it shows a root folder. upon doing so when i press install it says that the file root or something is not located. i'll provide some screenshots later on after work.
open touch v5.3 is working flawlessly for me. you should give it a try. it will take some time to get use to but it's just as fast as one of his lite or micro versions IMO.
absolutely

yes i have installed games and i have been playing them. most of the games work, about 90%. make sure you are selecting from the 240X320. as far as the local root folder issue goes, just create a folder when prompted. i'll try to use the screen shot software and make a walk-thru for ya.
maybe this will help
i attached the screenshots. i couldn't figure out how to get them to show up nest to the text like other people do, but whatever. anyway take a look at them and feel free to ask any questions.
good luck
nevermind....i guess they show up like everyone elses. i'm a genius
Thanks
I will give this a try when I get home. one question, how were you able to place the jar/jad files in the folder that you have created?
In need of some guidence
I downloaded the Jad files onto my desktop computer and placed them in the storage card. Opera/Esmertec Jbed finds the files but it gives me the roots error message ..

The Jad is only the installer. The Jar is the actual game file itself. You need both.
thanks
thanks i got it to work, does anyone know where the bible thread is? i want to run 3D games on the wing but EsJ won't let me
3D games?
i'm glad to see you have it working. let me know if you find the 3D thing you are looking for and a game that you can use it for.

how did you get devil may cry to boot up? isn't it 3D? also are you using your d-pad or keyboard number?
ive been looking around and havent found what im looking for so i figured id post it.i noticed the desire has quickoffice installed.can we get a .apk to place on the nexus?
thanks
My nexus has quick office installed out of the box. Just click a file and quick office opens.
However if you want to edit the files then you need docs to go or similar.
would yours be att version?mine is tmo and no office thats why im asking someone for a .apk
flash cyanogen and you'll have it. or download the rom to get the apk
Aren't both versions excujw the same? Have you actually attempted to open a word file to see what happens? I guarantee you it will work.
I'm pretty sure I didn't have the quick office icon when I first got my nexus one, but at some point after trying to open an office document I now have the icon, so I don't know whether it's there, but just not completely installed until you try and open a document.
Re: I'm pretty sure I didn't have the quick office icon when I first got my nexus one
It comes preloaded as a non visible file. But as you go to open a document you will notice quick office as you viewing tool.
Yup it's there on all Nexus Ones and always has been. Bought my Nexus in early january and it was there then as well. I did buy Documents To Go though since it's quite a bit more extensive.
In case you still need it
im on cyanogen

To quote someone all you have to do is look at the persons post and at the bottom right hand side of their post click on "quote". Pretty easy if you ask me
And no problem. To install the apk just use a file manager (like Astro) from the marketplace
i was looking to see how to quote multiple posts i know how to quote a single.
thanks again

http://www.engadget.com/2010/07/16/graffiti-for-android-scribbles-palm-os-memories-all-over-google/
Installed it, interesting!
Any idea where I can download this to a pc desktop with out an android fone ?????
Any idea where I can download this to a pc desktop with out an android fone ?????

Can somebody send me the file (.apk)

email to [email protected]
I went to the link above and used barcode scanner and it took me right to Graffiti for Android...not sure why it wont show up for you?
I actually wrote to Access
It is to do with the fact that it is a "hidden tool file" is what they wrote back
Not available in Africa
That is why I am requesting the file as i cannot download it unless I go to Europe or USA
This is crap that you can only download certain files in certian geographic areas.
thanks got it
Will try it out and write a report
cheers
Report back
Works like a dream on old graffitit style
much much faster than typing with keyboard
A very happy camper
cheers
Further report
Works just like on the Palm
Can write emails as fast as writing on paper
Access really did a heads up by releasing this one for Android
Beats the keyboard anytime
No issues finding it on market here..... Will test it and report my experience.
Being a Palm user dating back all the way to the Palm IIIx to the Vx and finally the TX.... its nostalgic to see it once again...
Update: Got it to work and it works well. Reminds me of the Palm IIIx graffiti instead of the TX version. Love it.
Can anyone who backed up Graffiti version 2.0.4 please post a link to the apk file. The latest version 2.0.5 has ads which fill the scribble area.
Thanks.
Is there any way to send attachments in a PM?
attached is a file i wanted to send in PM but couldn't figure out how.
in case anyone is interested, its the stock chinese keyboard from the x10mini pro.
please try this one
you see my pm's? any ideas?
(copy of pm
tried my best, here's what i came up with:
i went into the chinese keyboard settings to see if i could get a clue, cause there was nothing obvious in /system/app. at the bottom i noticed that it says the soft keyboard is provided by cootek, and its called TouchPal.apk i put that in there. its a 7 meg file, which is pretty beefy i think. so perhaps it holds the key...there was nothing else that obviously had to do with the keyboard. as far as the jar's go, i grabbed input and ime which both seem obvious. the only keyboards in settings are the chinese one i want, and the "default input", so one of those, either input or ime, should be linked to the touchpal apk.
but then again, im a complete amateur and have no idea what im doing. i'd be happy to try flashing a few things if you think it might work
Why not just link the file you've attached here?
