More bootscreen please.

Looks amazing .... please keep the good work

Any chance you could change the text a little??
'Please wash your hands before TOUCHING....'
or
'Please wash your hands before YOU touch....'
Makes the grammar work a little better
Nice screens though. What software did you use for making them? I had a thread bookmarked with instructions on how to make bootscreens, but forgot to back up my bookmarks when I wiped my pc

This is the funniest conversation on this forum! But I am glad the guy's phone works. And that is the most important thing.

Screen broke.

I pulled my nook out of my backpack and the screen is broke. Not the glass but some internal part, theres just lines and more lines. I was on the phone with barnes and noble and we trouble shooted and they're going to send me a new one. One problem it's rooted, how can I factory reset it? Even though the screen is broken it'll still turn on and can get into adb, any ideas?
Swyped from my supersonic
ADB into the Nook.
Make file system read/write go to / and type
rm -r * (wipe it).
Are you on the NOOK or the NOOKcolor?
This sounds like a problem that occurs frequently with the original NOOK's eInk screens, for no apparent reason. It is just some glitch with the eInk technology that causes them to short out like that. If so, it is covered under warranty, just perform a factory reset using the power button.
If you are on the NOOKcolor, I haven't seen this issue, but you can still set it back to factory default in a similar manner utilizing the power button/volume down/ "n" button combo to force the reset.
You can find more in depth instructions on how to perform the reset on the interwebs.
Hope this helps.
Or use the first posters method. That should work too lol.

[MAR 04] [BOOT SCREEN] Contextualize This! MultiOS Device Startup Screen

Greetings HD2 brethren! I present to you YABS (yet another boot screen...lol)! I call this the 'Contextualize This!' Edition. For the last month, I have been using Windows Phone 7 Series; shockingly inspired by the highly contextual graphical user interface. I find myself pleasantly enjoying my experience with this new OS therefore I whipped this baby up on Photoshop. Let me know what you think. Also, I took the liberty of packaging a bitmap image of the boot screen in case anyone wants to make modifications before flashing (for examaple, I have my boot screen show my name and contact information in case my device gets lost). Please note: if you wish to modify, you will have to recompile the *.nbh image).
About the design/modifications:
New 'HD2' Logo. The number two is represented in its roman numerical form (e.g. II) with the 'HD' marker centered between these two pillars.
Monochromatic...'nuff said.
Foreground is composed of random text/characters; the basis of this theme.
Modified the Win Mo 6.5.x logo (simply put '6.5.x' in the lower right quadrant) and Android logo (It is now waiving! )

[Q] Broken screen... How to turn on debugging?

I recently broke my display and I'm now left with a not so nice black screen. The touchscreen still works : I can feel the haptic responses and I can respond to calls by swyping my finger on the screen. I want to use screencast to perform diverse actions but the problem is debugging is OFF. I'm looking for either one solution :
- step by step screenshots to guide me through debugging ON
or
- turn on debugging externally. I've read several threads about this but no one seems to know whether or not it's actually possible to turn debugging on without touching the phone, so I thought I'd ask it here.
I'm currently on KingDroid ICS ROM Notemania v5 (rooted) and I have CWM v5

Nope, don't have a pc monitor neither. My laptop is currently the only display I have.
I believe usb debugging works in recovery whether it is enabled or not. Anyway I have uploaded the procedure using screen shots, Hopefully you can get it right.
Start pressing home, Then locking the device - We can start from how i did it now
press home, swipe anywhere on the screen (if you have swipe to unlock lockscreen?)
press menu button, tap the screen just above the menu button, This will touch the last option under menu (which is settings)
now, Do a big scroll right down to the bottom, and touch the screen about half an inch above the home button. this will take us into developer options,
Now touch the screen about half an inch down from the FFC (front facing camera) this should tick the enable usb debugging box
Click in the middle of the screen, slightly to the left and this should select Okay !
refer to the pics as a guide.
good luck !

Thanks a lot! Debugging successfully activated! But I had to try at least 20 times before doing the whole thing right.
PS: yes debugging works in recovery no matter its status, but for an unknown reason, I can't stay more than 5 minutes in CWM. The phone always ends up booting by itself.
haha well im glad you managed to activate it whilst blind, Ive seen numerous failed attempts by other users with similar problems lol.
did you get what you needed to do, done ?
Yep. adb pull was very helpful. I'll see later for the rest.
