Angry Birds Lite Beta

Hey, does anyone know why some captivate users are able to find this in the market and others are not? its really kind of annoying, and since I am one who can't get it the easy way, can someone post up a download to the latest version?

do what i did just download the app from appbrain

I have app brain installed, when I select angry birds I get an error that says "the selected item could not be found"

It is not just the Captivate that will not show some apps, it is across the board with the Galaxy S phone.

[Q] Android Market Place not finding apps

I have a Viewsonic Gtablet with the with TNT Lite 2.2.0.
When I search Android Market, I can't seem to find Pandora, Sirius/XM, Live Hold'em, and Barcode Scanner. So I think my Market place app maybe messed up. How can I fix that? Can some help me?

I followed the video on post #364 on page 37 of this thread everytime and it worked perfectly every time.

Just do the full market fix in development

I would use Titantium Backup, for the market fix. Works every time, for me. And I am redoing the Market fix very frequently, as you might imagine. I have several links to that Market fix - try the general FAQ, first.

Unable to see Dolphin HD market

I'm using the latest Vegantab and TNT lite, did market hack on both roms and still cannot see Dolphin HD or Skyfire browsers in market. Anyone else also get this problem or am I the only one here?

I also have this problem. It had always been there in TNT Lite 2.4 and Zpad 3.0 but with Vegan 5.1 I can't find it.

When you do the market fix, make sure you clear the market cache. That SEEMED to do the trick for me. (That or the eighth time doing the fix was the charm).

Try following this video - it did the trick for me. I'm running Vegan 5.1 and had applied the other market fixes with no luck.

Keep repeating the fix.
Repeat steps: Google framework ---force close---then go back---clear cache---reboot.

Me too. Very frustrating.

I am having the same issue. When I go into the Market, I cannot clear the cache (the button is not active). I have tried all the steps in the post and cannot get the market to display skyfire or dolphin browser. Anyone have a suggestion?

Download dolphin mini just as good or restore trought titanium

I've seen a few variations of the Market fix. The one that seemed to work best for me on VEGAn Tab Beta 5.1 is this:
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All
1. Google Services framework - Force Close
2. Market - Force Close
3. Google Services framework - Clear Data
Then go open Market and make sure you get the error.
I have tested this in VEGAn Tab 5.1 3 times... works like a charm. Many of the methods I've seen posted mention clearing cache for Market and I haven't seemed to need to do that, but if Steps 1-3 don't achieve the desired result, add Step 4 of clearing cache for Market.
I'm using Dolphin HD on VEGAn and loving it!

The Video worked GREAT for me also.
I accidentally skipped the step where I was to restart the Market after I cleared data and FC Google Services Framework. I just rebooted. But it still worked for me.

I tried many mods but I still dont see the paid applications. But I see nearly all the free apps (I think).

Which OS are you running? Stock, Vegan, etc? you first need to have the mahimahi fingerprint.. install Vega if your on stock... once you do that
do only in this order:
go into market, register and navigate - it will be limited
force stop market, force stop google services framework, clear market cache (only cache), clear google service framework data (and only data)
Launch market and get error
Reboot
Wait 2 minutes.. then launch market

Its a market issue... it comes and goes... it has been exceptionally bad the last few days! If you keep trying eventually it will download.

The video really works, I'm on VEGAn Beta 5.1 and I have roughly 98.9% market .
I still can't get Vlingo Virtual Assistant to come up on Market via my GTAB.

Can housed tank hero?

I couldn't see tank hero, but here's a trick that works for me. Use titanium backup, then wipe data for market first, then wipe data for Google services framework, then start market and see tank hero. You should see the accept screen when you start market.
This seems to be mutually exclusive w the usual market fix, I.e. you'll need to do the regular fix to see what you usually see. Kind of a pain ...

[Q] Has anyone gotten the Sports Illustrated app (tablet edition) ?

I am trying to install it via the Market online and the G-tablet is not listed as being compatible with it.

Dled it last night love it runs like a charm on vegan rom

I don't see the tablet edition available...All i get is the phone version in market...

I have searched google for an apk file and no one has one. The tablet version isnt in the android market even after being fixed and the online android market doesnt support vegan so i conclude we cant get it yet

I just grabbed it from the market, and it worked fine. I did get a message that it was for the galaxy tab.
I am running VEGAn 5.1.1.

APK would be greatly appreciated. Really looking forward to seeing some tablet optimized apps on the gTab

I just found it in the market. I am using vegan-tab. In settings, applications...clear cache AND data for Market, then force stop. Then clear data and force stop Google Services Framework. Reboot, accept terms of services in market, and you should find it. I just did this and it worked. The key is to also clear Market data. Hope this helps!

I found it but it says my device is not compatible. I did however able if I want to download the phone version.

Does it display in landscape? Is it free or just one free issue?

It displays in portrait only, but I think the layout is great. The app is free but the subscription is not. I get the issues in the app for free because I have a print subscription, but I believe you can also pay for a digital only subscription (don't know how much that costs).

Same issues here - can't find it in the market and can't find an apk on the web. If anyone could post the apk it would be much appreciated. I have a print subscription that gets recycled every week - the landfills are crying!

Don't really feel like uploading it anywhere, but feel free to pm me your email if anyone wants it. Backed it up with astro.

+1 for not linking the apk. Last thing anyone needs (XDA included) is the ire of sports illustrated. If you take your time you can find it on teh intertubes.

-5 for Mantara for not nowing anyone can have the apk since you have to have a subscription to gain access to the content anyway!

Angry Birds Force Close

I have tired a few different roms now and if I am luck to get angry birds install, when I go to open it it just force closes. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

I dunno but I get that aswell. The Rio edition works fine from Amazon.

Are you using any ad blocking (either by application or in your /system/etc/hosts file)?
If so, some applications that are ad supported will detect that and force close themselves (with or without warning).

I am unable to restore it from titanium but if I lower my clock speed to 800mhz then install from the market it works fine.

Yeah, I had it happen at least once. I don't recall which offhand, but I ended up just buying it since the ad version wouldn't work anymore.

I had this same problem when I had made a backup after it had been installed on SD Card (forced via Titanium Backup) on an HTC Desire. I restored it, along with data, and it force closed.
I moved it back to internal storage via Settings->Application Manager and it worked again.

arghness - genius! moved install location and sitting fat and happy.
