I download some videos and they are showing on my gallery, this thing is that my gallery does not have an option to delete videos(only pics), when i press on them they start playing with no delete option whatsoever.
Any ideas? I used Super Manager and tried to locate the video file to delete it to no avail...

On my SGS, I can launch 3gp or avi files from the Gallery. This works no problem.
However, when browsing the contents of my SD card using a third party file browser, I can tap on a 3GP video and it will play. But if I tap on an avi file, it says "Application not available". Long press on the avi file only gives move/copy/delete/share options.
Is there a setting somewhere where I can associate avi files with the default video player? Or something else I need to do?

I've got the problem that I can't find any music or photos in the samsung music player or gallery.
Yes it's possible to find the files with the data manager. If I chose the file and pull "dowload file", the file will be in the gallery or player. But then when I do a reboot the file are already gone from the gallery or player.
I tried some different roms: Romow, Kriskelo and now I use Darky's rom. But always the same problem....
Has anybody an explanation for that?

Have you deactivated the media scanner which runs automatically after boot and/or after unplugging your phone from PC? If so this prevents the gallery and the built in music player to find their designated media.
Select "Show hidden files" in the settings of your file manager and then look for a file named .nomedia in the directorys of your music and your pictures. Then delete this file.

Oh wow, thank you very much. The problem is now solved. It was the .nomedia file.
The good side of the problem is, I tried all roms and I think I have for me the best one the Darkys Rom.

How is it possible to make folders in the photo album? If I make folders it not shows the folders in albums it only shows all photos.

I think this is not possible with the pre-installed gallery.
On my phone I use "Cool 3d Gallery" from the Play Store. There you have all your folders when starting the app.
And if you have a rooted phone you can use an Ad-Blocker to disable the annoying Pop-Up when closing the app.
I am not able to see all pictures, videos in gallery. only camera folder is showing.
And in music, no media files are detecting even they are placed in phone memory.
Please help me............
Hey everyone, my one is on Lollipop 5.0.2 .My phone just reboots when I open the gallery after loading up a video with encoded subtitles.It doesn't happen with all videos though,just the ones from animeout.com which are highly compressed.I can post details about the videos if you wish.
My phone reboots if I open the gallery or file manager and navigate to the file location.MX player loads up the thumbnail but causes a reboot if I try to play the file.
The videos played fine on KitKat though on the same device.they showed up as a black thumbnail in the gallery but MX player worked just fine.
Help please.
