Google Reader is probably my most used app on my nook. The problem is when I read articles that have embedded YouTube videos. I can't watch them. All I see are black boxes where the video should be, and a message saying I need flash.
Thing is, some other articles, that do the same thing, will have a YouTube "thumbnail" for me to tap on to open that video with the YouTube app. When reading articles on my Palm Pre via Feeder, embedded videos do the same thing: open the YouTube app automatically.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

I notice on my G1, whenever i tried looking for an OFFICIAL Music Video of anything on the Youtube APP it does not show it at all. Even though it is there
Whenever i search it via google or youtube.com, it showed the video, but when played via youtube app it said video cannot be played.
Anyone know of any solution for this? Beside downloading it via keepvid.com?

I don't know of anyway to bypass this. It is very annoying. The only alternative I know of is to try the YouTube downloader.apk
Sometimes when a video is freshly added, it won't show up on the mobile version for a while. Usually the official videos are added like every minute and then pulled from youtube. Maybe the video is getting pulled and then just added, that's why its not converted to mobile yet? That's my guess.
Ahh that sucks I guess there nothinn we can do I think somee sort of filter on the youtube browser. Is there any aftermarket browse that would the same as youtube app?
There's no filter.. Our devices only play mp4 or 3gp (mobile formats), so the vidoes on our youtube app or the ones we can play from the mobile youtube site are in mobile phone format. When a video is uploaded to youtube.com, it takes a while to get converted to a format playable on mobile phones. That's why are unavailble for a while (on our devices) after they're uploaded on youtube.com.
Do you understand now?
Videos that violate copywrite laws are pulled from youtube usually before they are converted to a mobile format.

Use official YouTube application by Google for WM!
I already installed the youtube app but it isn't so comfortable with me... it bothers me that after a search for a video i cannot categorize the results by rating for example. It also bothers me that the videos are opened with the streaming media app and not with TCMP or another video app. Now, as it concerns the m.youtube.com site, the videos are opened only with the streaming media app and not with another video player. Can i change that? Can somebody help?
Am i crazy or does youtube android app not get any vevo videos from youtube in searches? Same search on the web returns different results.
Not good when I'm trying to watch some music videos on wifi.

They aren't made available on YT mobile.
About two weeks ago, I was able to view youtube videos in a native youtube video player on the mobile site from my android browser. Now every time I go to the mobile site I either can't even click on the video or a second, smaller (play video) button pops up slightly below the video that gives me the videos in a lower quality resolution. I'm running 2.2. I miss having this native viewing ability.
I don't think it's a problem with default apps either. I've reset just about every default that I can and it's still happening. ugh.
This is becoming a pet peeve. I open a link to a page, say on Gawker, on my Nexus 7. There is an embedded YouTube clip, and no direct link to the video. The only thing I can do when I tap the video is play it embedded. There is no YouTube button or title to click. If I long-press I get a menu full of options that don't actually work when I tap them. The only way to get it into the YouTube app (and hence into Chromecast) is to search out the video on YouTube manually or locate the link using a desktop browser.
Is there any easy way folks here have come up with, to quickly take an embedded YouTube clip and force it into the YouTube app for casting?
