I noticed the "call phone" option is now appearing in gmail using skyfire. Is there a voice plugin that the nexus one can use? The regular voice plugin doesn't work.
Does anybody know? This would give us free calls from Canada to USA and vice versa. Is there a plugin or can one be ported to nexus one?

Hi Everyone,
I have a sprint touch pro and I am using Google voice as my voice mail provider. Since I no longer use sprint as the voice mail provider I don't get the nice voice mail notification on my phone. Is there a way to hack the phone so that when someone leaves me a voice mail on Google voice I would get the notification on my phone? I hope I explained this correctly and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
the easiest thing you can do is have google send you a sms when you get a vm. just go to google voice and click on settings (under general notifications)
Use YouMail.com , it does exactly what you're looking for, and you can still use your google voice number.

I'm not sure you can "direct dial" with a voip app on the captivate, but I use my voipcheap account to call international numbers (almost free) through the fring application

There is quite alot of apps in the market if you search "voip". (Some are country specific) Search, test and check the rating is the best way to see what app you prefer.
I use Voxofon since i can see the rate prior to calling.
Would be nice if the captivate had a way to directly input sip settings however
I'm using a combination of Skype and Google Voice for VoIP on my Galaxy Tab, but the problem is in apps like Maps I want to be able to click a number and it asks if I want to complete the call with Skype. Instead it just says you cannot make or receive calls on the Galaxy Tab. How can I disable that message?
Hello, I have used voice on my s2 and s4, but cannot seem to get it working on my 510(sprint/boost).
The website at one point says it works with prepaid, and at another says it doesn't. Curious if anyone has it working. I use it for the visual voicemail, and sprints version costs three dollars a month. I know, cheap, but there you go. Can I do this?
Thanks,
David
I'm using Google Hangouts for calls and texting on my phone (using my google voice number) and it seems to work just great. You just need to download the dialer add-on for hangouts.
Haven't tried the voice app, though.
Hi,
I am trying to set up a SIP Account on my Galaxy Note 9 which is running Android Pie. I am unable to find the settings to do this. Any help/pointers would be appreciated.
Best,
Krish
I'm having the exact same problem on galaxy s9. I can't find the Internet call settings under phone settings. Did you ever found a way?
Is it because you can use WiFi calling now that those settings aren't there?

I too would like to know if the note 9 has a native SIP client?
Did anyone find a solution to this?
I have SM-N960F Dual Sim and Im in Australia.
I want to use the native SIP client - but I can not find it all
It is really annoying me
any updates?
native sip settings are deactivated/deleted from any samsung phone since i think android 6.0.
you can try activating the native settings with this: (dev has like 3 different apps to try, some depent on android version so try also the other apps)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.liebrand.galaxysipaccounts&hl=de
but it won't work for me for outgoing calls on Note10+ Android 10 DBT
for outgoing and incoming calls i am using this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=vn.calls.sip&hl=de
but the app will freeze after a while so the incoming calls wont show up and also no notification appears.
if you just wanna call someone from time to time then the app is perfect for this.
