The search button is located in the upper right-hand corner.
This should have been made in the General forum which is used for Q&A, not the app forum

yes do what donjaun said with search, but since you're new to android you're probably new here too
Rooting is hmmhow can i explain it - having "all" access to your phone? Sort of like jailbreaking for iproducts, but better.
Yes there is a way to manually do it, but you'll need root(go learn how to root your phone by searching) Then you'll be able to flash many roms(roms are like different themes/mods. you can even flash offical releases)
Hello everybody! I am new here, i just signed up yesterday and this website only lets me post in this general area. Here is the background: I have an ATT HTC PURE phone that I am not using. I want to try and install android on this phone but I do not know how and what to use. Can someone please guide me in regards to this issue? I want to be able to use the phone as an internet device for home use with my home wifi. Any or all help is appreciated! Thank you to everyone who helps!
Have a read here.
I do not think the system has been perfected so read the latest posts to see what bugs there are.
Also may be other ROMs available in the Android section.
Couldn't find anyplace that was talking about ROM's for the new WIFI only version of the 7" Galaxy Tab. Let's starting cookin' !
Couldn't a GSM or CDMA ROM be modded fairly easy to work on the WIFI?
This is the dev forum (for posting dev projects).
If you want to ask questions use the "questions" forum
Trying to get a thread started. guess I went about it the wrong way.
I have asked the question in the QA area.. can this question be deleted from the dev area by someone? thanks!
Yeah, I have been wondering this as well. I got the wifi only version and there is nothing out there as far as custom roms go! What does it take to cook up or port a rom from the p1000 roms?

Rumor has it that there is planning for one in the works.
I've just rooted my friends captive and coming from Sprint I'm not familiar with AT&T's market. If some one can direct me to a free wifi tether app such as Barnicle or some instruction on where to access root apps in your market I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm familiar with Odin since I just came from the Epic 4G. So if there's another rooting process I can take please help. I haven't had alot of time with this device"captivate"so any instructions would be greatly appreciated
There's plenty of information here in the sticky threads of the various Captivate forums, including how to access the market. I'd start with the stickies in Captivate General.
You may find it easier and more functional to install a custom rom instead of an application. Almost all of the custom roms give you both tethering and mobile AP.
So I've seen this question asked a few times with NO answers. I thought I'd post it here. Can the GC110 be rooted? Either on it's own or with another GC100 method? I can't find any thread on how to. Would appreciate any help?
I see I've been moved to this forum where this thread will basically go to die, Thank you xda moderator...
Edit: Hey all I have the Samsung Galaxy Camera EK-GC110 Wi-Fi only running Android 4.1.2 and I used Adam's CASUAL method and it rooted my phone in less than 15 seconds....yes I timed it
Thanks Adam!
