Please Advise!! Rooted 1.0.1 updated to 1.1.0 today - Nook Color General

My wife's 1.0.1 Nook updated today when she turned on her nook to 1.1.0. Now it is stuck on the Nook color boot screen.
I need to know the best way to solve the issue. CWR is not on her Nook. Can I just flash the rooted 1.1.0 here on the forums via CWR on sd with no issue?
I don't want to mess her Nook up, I already messed up my nook's emmc when flashing the very first OC kernels and now I can only boot from SD

Yes, you should be able to flash 1.1 (or 1.0.1 for that matter) without issue. I've done 1.0.1 using Monster Root Pack and samuelhalff's 1.0.1 zip many times without issue. if you decide to go with 1.0.1, you can even use the Monster Root Pack to flash a zip that will block the 1.1 updates. Once you've restored to stock, you can use MRP to root it again.
I think the recovery to 1.0.1 i am referring to is called complete restore-1.0.1.

First off, if your wifes NC is stock, just do a reset... http://nookdevs.com/Flash_back_to_clean_stock_ROM
And your emmc is NOT messed up, just fix it.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=949699

1.1 and clockwork.

Just rooted wifes nook and just wanted to make sure that Rom Manager in the market and the CWR it installs work on 1.1
for some reason, i don't think it does. i keep reading in different threads that folks are having trouble with CWR on 1.1. not sure if it's across the board or not though.
Yeah it wont work right, If you install it Via the Rom manager you will get stuck in CWR next time you reboot, you wont be-able to boot back to android intill you flash your boot partition back to non CWR.
If you want to use CWR on 1.1 you will need to use the Stand alone SD Card Image.

[Q] Nook restarting by itself

I rooted my nook color with autonooter and I'm running the stock B & N rom, I tried nookie froyo but went back to the rooted original rom again, i still have the nookie zip on the root of my sd card, is that causing it to reboot when i power off my nook?
No having multiple zip files on your SD card shouldn't cause your NC to reboot, if it did my NC would be rebooting all the time.

[Q] Nook stuck at Nook Color boot-up screen. I think I screwed up.

Hello, I guess I went in blind and screwed it up. Here's exactly what I did.
1. Created a bootable CWR SD card and used ManualRooter on my stock 1.2. Everything went perfectly. Checked Market and full app list etc.
2. Copied phiremod 6.2 to CWR card. Booted into Recovery. Wiped data/factory reset. Installed phiremod. No error so far. Wiped dalvik cache (not sure if I ran wipe cache partition). Then I turned it off, rebooted and the Nook is now stuck at the loading screen.
Of course, only then did I realize I got a nook with the new partitions (blue sticker). What should I do now? I was planning to try repartitioning but not sure if that would do more damage.
Any input? Thanks.
Fixed it Went ahead and installed the 2 repartition/reformat zips and installed phiremod on top. Everything is just peachy
hey itaintrite, i'm have a similar issue.
burned my working rom to sd so i could flash emmc to 1.2 manual nooter. prob now is when i boot from my sd it hangs at 'touch the future of reading.'
what's this 'repartition/reformat' zip you speak of?
raze
Similar problem....could use some help please!!
OK. Noob who is eternally grateful to all the awesome folks here. With your help I successfully rooted my EVO last summer. Now I have a problem with my new Nook Color. I successfully rooted (NC 1.2) it with ManualNooter, but now it won't accept any other ROMS. Runs MN fine, but I used ROM Manager to download and flash CM7.0.3, but it hangs at the "n COLOR" boot screen. Same exact result with Phirerom. I was able to restore to MN by somehow achieving the CM Recovery and restoring the Nand backup. Meanwhile, while I am unable to flash CM7, I AM able to boot into it from an SD card. Help, please.

The repartition/reformat are in the thread that helps you repartition your 1.2 refurb nook to the older partition format. You can't install any custom roms otherwise.
I am having a similar issue. I rooted my new Blue Dot NC, I made my microSD card image with CW 3.2.0.1-eyeballer and ManualRooter 4.6.16 followed all instructions, and everything came out fine. installed apps, copied over books etc. all running fine. The problem is when I reboot the NC it will start rebooting and then get stuck cycling in the NOOK COLOR animation. I have to reset it, and re-register it with B&N and install ManualRooter again.
Any ideas why this happens? Could it be an app causing this??
I am rooting again and testing the reset before I add any apps, then app by app and see if something comes up.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] How to get 1.3 update on rooted 1.2?

I got a used nook that had CM7 on it. Seeing that there were issues a week ago with the 1.3 root, I put 1.2 on it and rooted it. Now 1.3 is successfully rooted and all seems a go ... so I want it.
But how the heck do I get a rooted 1.2 Nook to get the update?
It's been on wifi with the B&N Shop and/or Home open for three days, nothing. I followed the steps on B&N's site to try to sideload the update. Nothing. I don't see a CWM flashable version out yet. Frustrating.
I could also factory reset back to 1.2 and try to let it load the 1.3 update - I assume that the MN still works with a stock 1.3 as well.

Sideloading BN1.3 works for me. Describing EXACTLY how you sideload the update. The update needs to be copied to emmc.
I followed the instructions on B&N's site. I put the nookcolor_1_3_update.zip file and put it right on the root of the emmc (at least, the highest up directory the USB interface would let me place it on).
Having CWM on your internal recovery blocks the update. You can flash this file to get back to 100% stock (internal CWM or CWM card, doesn't matter):
update-nc-stock-1.2-signed.zip
Format /system and /data before you flash it. If you have apps and settings you want to restore after you update and root, make a backup first (you should anyway) and once you have CWM back, Advanced Restore /data only.
CWM is not installed on the emmc. I use bootable sdcard with CWM burned on it to do my flashing. I doubt this is the issue but if MN will work on a stock 1.3 install, it's easy enough to do.
I had also encountered a problem, but had worked around it.
It turned out that I had at one point flashed CWM to my emmc even though I was using an SD card to boot.
The update was failing each time, but I eventually noticed that it was going into clockwork during the restart and the install would fail.
I'd completely nuked the Nook (deleted boot, system, etc) while in CWM and restored a Nook 1.1 image I had.
This allowed me to then install the 1.3 update and have it reboot into the BN recovery instead of the CWM recovery.
Note, if you format boot, system and so on, you'll render the Nook unbootable without an SD card, so be sure to have the image ready to restore BEFORE you reboot it.
I ended up doing a factory reset and putting the nookcolor_1_3_update.zip on the root of the emmc. It updated immediately, but I of course lost my data. Oh well.
MN didn't really work, I fought with it over and over again, but finally got it working. I'm posted in the MN thread about it.

[Q] Nook Color Will Not Boot, At All

My Nook Color is stuck at the grey 'n' screen. I rooted it at version 1.2, then decided I wanted to try to use it with Froyo. It booted up fine, then I got the flashable zip and ran that from a CWR sd card. Now it will not boot (stuck at ANDROID_). I've tried to restore it from CWR with the Nook-complete-restore-1.0.1.zip, that didnt work. I tryed using the images from <http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919353>. Same issue. I do have access to adb from the booted sd card on CWR or Froyo. My main goal here is to just get it to boot into the normal, unrooted state it came in and work from there.
Thanks in advance guys
Are you using the latest version of CWR (3.2.0.1)?
Follow the instructions here: http://mrm3.net/nook-color-how-to-install-cyanogenmod-nightlies/
I think I was using 3.0.0.6 for some reason I'll give that a try and get back
YOU CANNOT BRICK THIS b*tch!!!
