Loki 2.4.WHAAAA???? - It always lasts longer the second time around. - Vibrant Android Development

First off, my apologies to anyone and everyone out there who used, assisted, provided feedback, and worked on anything for this Loki, its time has come to pass. I hope you will understand after reading the following.
Mods, please close this thread. And please don't delete it right away if you're going to, I'd like my users to get a chance to know why its gone.
Well, the second time around, before its break time, definitely lasted longer than the first. I hold absolutely no ill will or bad feelings towards anybody out there, and have nothing but respect and admiration for those that guided me in the vast amount of learning I've done in the Android world.
However, it seems that there were decisions made by members of EDT, and I was unfortunately not included in that loop. Changes are being made to the team, and I wish them the best of luck, but its not for me. You hear the he said, she said of what goes on, but really none of it matters in the long haul. If I stepped on anyones toes or did a damn thing that offended or hurt anybody's feelings, I sincerely apologize.
I am pulling Loki, because there is entirely too much EDT source in the build, and I wouldn't feel right about hosting it any longer. I might be back around one day with something brand new, but for now, there's quite a few roms out there I want to try, and I have some more learning to do.
Just finished DL'ing SimplyGalaxy, you know what time it is....

Great work, just not the biggest fan of black /white. Nice nonetheless

Perfect timing. I was 5 minute away from flashing Loki1.3. Loki still gives me the best battery and performance. Here's hoping for more of the same.

Aww Man i really liked Loki 1-3 but because of the AOSP look. This looks completely different. We dont have a stable AOSP rom other than 1-3 but in that version the Nav didnt work. Well do you ever think you'll ever go back to the AOSP greyish look agian?

Lookin good

Nice brick. Looks real nice. Great job.

Thank You for all your work

i flashed loki 1.3 yesterday. imma stick with the 1.3. i like the look of it. 2.0 seems way different. maybe next week i will go to 2.0. in the mean time...thanks.

Yeah I was in between a rock and a hard place. Had the old version themed more in depth, but it would update as soon as you connected the market and lose my theme. Rather than have everyone try to quickly uncheck auto update for it, I decided to put out what google gave us for the latest version, if they patch it soon as I hope they will, I'll put out an update to match this one.

Was thinking of replacing all the icons with regular ones, I like the theme, but I end up with random colored icons. What's the quickest way, copy them from another rom?

I'm actually going to opposite direction on my personal phone, and am going to theme all the icons I can of my own programs to match. Things like titanium and rom manager wont show up in the app drawer with a changed icon, and exactly the reason why titanium is the only beam of color in the app drawer.
You could grab the majority of the apps from Loki 1.3 if you are so inclined, 1.3 was a kb1 base, all of the apps should be compatible.
For the couple of you last night who preferred the aosp-ish icons, I can easily throw together a flashable framework that will restore those icons later on today or tomorrow, unless one of you beat me to it. You would have to unpack 1.3 framework and copy the icon pngs into the 2.0 framework then flash it. I would not recommend just using the 1.3 frameworks.apks themselves, the additional lock screen options would cause a soft brick, but the images would move over easily from the old apk to the new one.

i also liked the 1.3 look it was cool, hopefully in upgrade u will go back to that design

If y'all want I'll throw the notification icons into this framework, but guys, I'm not undoing what I spent near two weeks doing Loki. Let me know if y'all want those icons back though.
kcp877 put together a dark themed MMS for those that want an option to the AOSP MMS, and it looks gorgeous! I can't get screenies at work, the firewall blocks me from dl'ing the full sdk, but trust me its nice! Can be found in the second post in this thread. Push in with your favorite SU File Explorer until I can get a flashable made.

Download, rename, push, fix permissions.
Doesn't delete your messages. If you aren't sure if you want it, rename your current mms.apk in the system/app folder to mms.apk.bak first, them if you need to change back its already in there for you.

Thanks kcp! Can confirm it works, I pushed with SUFBS without even rebooting, and it works just fine! Looks nice too, and the file has been added to the 2nd post in this thread.
Edit: I didn't rename it either, works as MMS in the app drawer with the name it has on dl.

For those of you using wifi calling, here's one to push to get rid of the blue box icon in the notification bar, same thing push, etc. only thing is if you delete your old on first you will get force close and have to pull the battery, just push and fix permissions to overwrite the old one. if you do get stuck rebooting, it works fine after, just a slight hiccup. The alternative is to rename the kineto.so file in lib temp to keep it from fc. Just an extra step.

DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING WITH THE LOOK! I APPRECIET THE (oooops, sorry for the all caps) difference in the design.. It's like a breath of fresh air!
Now, I STILL GET THE "STARTING BLUETOOTH" BEING STUCK ISSUE (oh geeez, my caps key keeps getting stuck) when I dial out using my bluetooth headset. This is such a beautiful rom, I wish i could dial out using by bluetooth headset.
It must be more of an issue since it never could get fixed from Loki 1.2 up to today. There must be something indefinitely wrong with the grass-root coding with this rom.

[THEME] BoxyBlue v1.2 (Updated 5/6/11)

Here is a theme I've been working on for the last few weeks or so. It's built over top of the Paragon rc6 Blue Theme that was originally made by eSPyeL and then themed blue by Bentonhall. Nearly everything in the notification bar and dropdown are completely originaly work by myself. It also features a new bootanimation that I put together.
I assume this would work with other ROMs (Paragon rc6 is JS3 based). If you try it on something else, please let me know if it works or not. I can also work on ports if there's interest.
My main hope was to make something somewhat different than other themes (so it didn't look like a copy) and to make all indicators very obvious (boxy). I wanted something simple and clean looking but still be visually appealing. I personally liked it, so I now share it with you. Hope you enjoy!!!
If anyone has suggestions for later versions (colors or variations on icons), let me know. I don't intend to theme any apps (I'll leave those to the actually good themers ). I hope to later release a "Rectangular Red", "Orthogonal Orange", and "Gerpendicular Green" (if someone's got some better names, I'm open to suggestions ). Let me know what colors you'd want first and I'll try to satisfy the masses (assuming there's more than just me interested in this theme!).
Changes:
1.1 to 1.2
Newer dropdown button icons (cleaner)
Black notification bar
New pulldown menu bottom
Updated themed dialer
Themed Settings.apk
Updated Go Launcher Theme (v2.1)
1.0 to 1.1
Themed unlock screens
Newer dropdown button icons
Removed text under dropdown buttons
Themed dialer
Several tweaks to the notification icons
Go Launcher Theme (Made some icon backgrounds--5 random colors--see screen shots. You need to have Go Launcher Ex for this to work.)
Future Changes?
Themed Contacts
Boxy Blue Theme v1.2
Screen Shots in the second post!
Thanks goes to:

Theme update
Due to the lack of responses to this theme, I've tried to spruce it up! I've re-done a lot and added some more elements.
Please take a look and I'd love some feedback (again, please be gentle since this is still a work in progress and the continuation of my first attempt at a theme)!
For those who care, I just posted an update to the theme. There's a good chance I'll move to a different ROM since Paragon is stagnant. Perhaps I'll get with the times and try out one of those new fangled gingerbread ROMs.
Again, comments would be very welcome to let me know what I've done right/wrong. I still plan to theme whatever ROM I use (at least for my personal enjoyment), so I'd like to know what others think.
I just tried downloading the update, I couldnt get the link to work. Could be my browsers. I did try on a few and nothing. Awesome to hear its updated, that was quick and ill be sure to test it out if I can get it downloaded. I to will be movin on as other roms arise. But ill always find my way back to Paragon some how, hope for an update in the future.

I just tried the link and it's acting a little goofy for me as well. I'll repost a new multiupload link here in a sec.
On another note, I've been on CM7 the last few days and have enjoyed it. I would like to try to make a theme for that. We'll see if CM7 feels as stable as Paragon has been .
Alright, try the link now.
Very nice! It's good to see more options out there so we can dress up our cappys.
Alright I got it, will be testing it out soon. I just know it will be good.

I could work on one. Which GB ROM are you using? It might take a little while, but I'll get it done. I want to try my hand at a CM7 theme, but since they use the theme changer, they're a bit different (anyone have experience making a CM7 theme apk?).
Also, if you like the theme, would you mind bumping up the thread rating? It seems someone hit it with a 2 star rating without leaving any sort of comment why. It can be a little discouraging.

What's up CapnPez, hey I use CM7 and just wanted to pass on that there are also themes that are in zip format and can be flashed from CWM3. While the theme Chooser is pretty sweet, there are other flashable themes as well. Just wanted to pass it on!

Thanks, that's cool to know. Do you know if there are any limitations to the theme chooser (things that can be done through flashing a zip but can't be done with the chooser)?
I'm also assuming that a flashable zip theme from another GB rom would be incompatible with cm7, right? (so making a zip cm7 theme wouldn't help for making one that would work with, say, gr-12 or something?) I'd like to make a chooser theme apk because the huge convenience when using cm7.
I'm still learning with the newer stuff (not that I'm a master of the froyo stuff), so I might need to spend some time on the q & a section .

I'm not sure. I know the developer of the matted blues theme wont make an apk version for theme Chooser..and I'm not positive but I think it has something to do with the updates and compatibility. And yeah your right, you could probably get away with a Ginger theme for JVB because a lot of gingerbread ROMs use that..however, CM7 is completely different and would probably need a different script or whatever.

TWQuickPanel ported to the Nexus S Status Bar
This is the 5 widget quick panel found on the i9000 SGS phone. The included widgets are Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sound/Silent, and Auto Rotation. When I get more time I'm going to be attempting to replace the Auto Rotation with the Wimax control.
Requirements:
1. CDMA NS4G running any vareint of the deodex GRJ90 Stock Rom
1.a. GSM won't be comparable with updated files.
2. CWM recovery, I'm running the 3.0.2.4 version
3. A nandroid backup
Install:
Nandroid backup
Download ZIP file.
Place it @ the root of your SD Card
Boot into Fastboot, choose Recovery
Choose NexusQuickpanel.zip and flash
Clear dalvik cache
Reboot
The theme of the panel is pretty generic and the clear status bar code is already in place in it. All you have to do is replace the png shade_bg with a transparent image and you'll have the clear status bar.
I Kanged the actual images for the widgets from a thread posted by criskelo found

TBH I don't know haven't tested it. You can nandroid flash this, and then return to your backup if not. Also you can have a zip with just the SystemUI.apk in it from your phone instead of a full back up just restore your apk over this one. I'm still waiting I need a copy of a deodex systemui.apk from the GSM to start on it. One question for you, are the roms from the GSM versions all compatable, meaning the stock SystemUI.apk on the T-mo and the rest all match up? I would hate to have to make like 5 versions of this thing!
just flashed it on the gsm nexus s ( I9023) .Already had a nandroid backup. Seems like it works ok !! HAven't tested everything , but no errors so far.. As far as I know all nexus s gsm versions have compatible systemui.apk, because there are no different custom roms for them..
I can post the systemui.apk from the nexus s I9023 if you want it ?

I tell you what run with it for the rest of the day. If you have no errors, which if you did you would have a)bootlooped b)had immediate FC when unlocking or c) had fc upon hitting one of the buttons on the widget. Looks like you are clear of all 3 so now the only thing left that doesn't match our phones is the values is ids.xml, drawables.xml, and public.xml that control the 4g which your phone doesn't have. Seems like to me this works as is and you just have some code included that will always remain dormant and to actually port this to your Systemui.apk to remove a few 4g calls wouldn't be worth it. Let's get a few more GSM people to test it and let us know for sure and I'll update the title of the thread.
I will be your guinea pig, and post it here if I find issues.. Haven't said it yet but: you did a great job it looks absolutely gorgeous !

Thank you. It's pretty plain jane as far as the pull down background but I wanted it to be something easy to look at if you don't want it themed and then if you do I'm sure the themers (myself included) will be pushing out some interesting looking ones.
This is great! Thanks for this incredibly useful feature! Things seem to be going well with ports of SGS devices, hopefully we can get a couple features like the SGS Camera and manual brightness adjustment by scrolling left-right on the notifications bar soon! Much much thanks, this mod worked like a charm!
One suggestion if possible, when you figure out how to change the widget elements, maybe replacing the auto-rotate with a flashlight, i think the flashlight is used more by a majority of users

Update, tomorrow I will work on the one bug found I missed. When you turn in the wifi, the image overlays for the waiting period but instead of turning to the on picture when wifi connects it returns to the off wifi picture but the indicator at the bottom shows its on. This will be a thorn in themers side so I'll upload the fix.

OP Updated,
New version is out v1.2, same download link, same filename so delete the current zip off your SD card. First time I flashed the new zip over the prior, it bootlooped on me, I pulled the battery and booted again, it booted just fine. This version fixes the wifi icon when it's on before it reverted to the off png even though the wifi was on. Also noted on OP that the GSM version seems to be working just fine for the NS4G cousins.
The wifi icon still does not stay green when wifi is active .. are you sure you uploaded a changed file ? even the date and time of the systemui.apk are the same ase yesterday's file
I'm showing the correct time stamps on the phone and pc can you verify if yours shows a modified date of 5/31 11:53am. The only file inside that should have a modified date is classes.dex. If you show all the right modified times then I'll have to upload it again but it sounds like you got the wrong file

This is a full theme that's ambition is simple; turning all instances of color thru-out the entire ROM, including many common user apps, to various shades of blue. This project will be on-going; as I get better at theming so will the theme get better. I make no claims of complete originality, as some images have been swyped from other themes (if u see ur work, please claim it so that i can credit or pull it) That said, most work is my own (in as much as modifications of someone else's work -HTC's- can be called ones "own" ) I also need to thank Gunthermic, whom I continue to bug daily with my incessant questions, lol. Thnks gun! Also can't forget about TommyTomatoe, whom has helped me tremendously in the last two weeks. (Thnx to him I can again edit .9.png's, and xml's as well) Also bad4u6669, he's also helped me on many occasions (actually this theme is kinda inspired by bad4u's work on Epidemic ....thnks bro!) .. ***Edit: thnx to bad4u6669 I am now able to theme all of Sense (.....as long as he keeps building my mods, lol!) ...and last but not least a special Thnx to McLabia for giving me a hassle free place to host and advertise my work. I am very, very grateful brother!

There are 2 versions. The standard theme (w/ Black Dropdown) and a stock-style battery version (also w/ a Black dropdown) The Standard is the one with screenshots attached. It should be the first one and says simply 'Synergy Blues [theme]'.

I installed the stock battery version.
CANNOT wait for that sexy drop down.
Any luck doing the menus? Like when hitting menu from homescreen and other menus like for gmail?

Lol, cool, at least its just the calender. I'll look at it in a bit.
Yeah, I'm at a stand-still with that dropdown. I'm just waiting for some bright idea ....or gunthermic to figure out. I gotta talk to him again.
Wut about the 'menu's? U mean the getting all the icons to match? That's proven to be one of the more challenging things. I've themed all those icons that those should be drawing from.... Ima take another look tonight. I'll definitely get them. Just takes time ....it bugs me too. I think its just this new Sense. I'll ask gun.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Or do u mean inverting them like the I plan to do w/ the dropdown? Cuz that's actually next!
That's why I haven't been working hard to make all those icons match. They'll need changed anyway for the dark bg ....coarse I plan on doing two versions of those ......like most things so I'll havta to both anyway
.....yeah, I still got a TON of work to do!
Haha I can only imagine the work involved, i'm sure its quite intense.
I was referring to when you hit menu and all apps, notifications, personalize, wallpaper, ringtones and settings comes up in the little "6 spaced grid".
Sorry probably have terminology all wrong ! Either way I know it takes time, just excited about what's to come because this adds alot of class to this already nicely themed wrong already on 1st revision.
BTW I tried messing with both htc calender widget apk's and couldn't get it to work again.
Not that I know much beyond moving things to system/apps and changing permissions lol.
That looks Stoopd SECXEE Bruh..More Blue w/icons, Contacts and Dialer pad would be ideal.

Try pulling 'Calendar.apk' from the theme zip and reflash. U won't notice a difference without that one anyway. Just put on ur desktop, open with 7zip, go to /system/app/Calendar.apk and delete.
If that doesn't work ...or u just don't feel like it, I'll have an update soon. By morning prolly
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
U can also delete 'htccalendarwidgets.apk' and possibly HtcProfileWidgets.apk without noticing a diff. I'll put updated versions into the next update
I'd try deleting the first two calendar APKs first, but like i said, ill be doing that ltr tonight or this morning.
If u just delete Calendar.apk and report bak ull potentially save me a bunch of work ....but I know it sux waiting thru whole that flashing so if u just wanna wait, that's cool too

Thnx bro. Yeah I've got some other things slated first ...like finding all instances of green, orange, etc. and eradicating it, lol ...then just getting all buttons and highlights smooth like the one in the dropdown. Then I gotta touch sum more widgets
.....and finally, I'll be doing variations on the theme, with one being sumthing very similar to wut u suggest ...just remind me down the road. But in general, yeah more blue is on the way

Yes, I know 'where' u mean. I'm sorry, I don't understand 'what' u want done.
I'll say this: I plan on making both a dark and light version ....also one with blue highlights; dark or light, I haven't decided ...maybe both. I also may make completely different icons rather than modify the existing ones.
If u guys can be more specific as to what u'd like to see in the theme, then I could better accommodate u.
If u all are something u like in another theme that u'd like to see here, please try to provide screenshots or links so that I see exactly wut u mean. I can't say whether I'll use it or whether it'll be exactly the same. I like to make things my own, but I'm also not one for changing sumthin just to be different either. If there's no room for improvement, then I'll keep it as-is.
And if anyone has work that they've done that they think would look good here, please post it and I'll see about incorporating it or atleast adding as an add-on
Just something darker really, I love the black menu from cm7 and from DH, it doesnt have to be black though.
As far as the calender widget I think I already tried everything I could do apk wise in an attempt to fix it. It's no biggy though man, I can wait

How to Modify the Google Search Widget?

I'm new to android, and I'm trying to learn how to theme. I've got some of the basics down, but I'm still a little overwhelmed as to what tools are best to use for modifying which items.
Currently, I am running a CM7 ROM on a Samsung Vibrant. I'd like to theme the google search widget. What's the best way to go about doing this? Is this something that can be done with Metamorph? What about Theme Chooser? Does something like Zipthemer come into play with what I'm trying to do?
This seems like it should be a relatively simple thing to do, but I haven't been able to make it work. I'm able to modify other widgets like the music player, but I can't seem to get this google search widget to change.
I'd really appreciate any and all help with this. Thanks in advance!
I haven't been able to get it to work through metamorph, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's just not possible through that method. Any help with this?
Could try using apkmanager?
What exactly is it your wanting to do to it?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
As I understand it, apkmanager is used to modify then repackage an existing apk file. Is that accurate? If so, I don't think that will work for me since I can't re-install google search (the package won't re-install over the existing application and there's no uninstall option).
As to what I'm trying to do....right now I'm just trying to make ANY change to the google search widget. I am really using this as a learning tool, so the specific changes don't matter, I just want to learn how to do it.

Instead of trying to install normally, you can just drop the apk in /system/app. Using Root Explorer, you may want to back up the original Google Search apk. On my phone it's named "GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk", yours may be named differently. Either move the original to your SD card or replace the apk extension with .bak then move the new one. You'll need to mount system as r/w, in Root Explorer the button is near the top. The modded version has to have the same name as the original, so copy the apk to /system/app and rename it if necessary. Long-press on the apk and select permissions. Set the permissions to rw-r--r-- (owner = read, write checked; group = read checked; other = read checked).
Then reboot and you should be good.
Root Explorer is a paid app, but an indispensable tool if you're going to be modding system files. It's also a great file explorer, and well worth the money. However, if you don't want to pay, ES File Explorer is free and has a root level file explorer - you have to enable root access in settings. I'm not sure how to mount r/w with ES, but there are other free apps that will do so if the option isn't built in.

Hi,
Since ur on cm 7 rom look and learn how to create themes and mod n install themes over stock system application without all the troubles.
Otherwise when u mod any system apk, application signature will change and updates from market will not even install over different signature application.
Alternative is to mod application and install via xrecovery package. With stock signature. This is little tech but not a big deal too.
I suggest theme option that's why cm7 came with theme option to mod apps.
Cheers
Thanks plainjane, I can try replacing the package as a last resort, but I'm hoping to find a cleaner way to do it.
Shiwantha, so I can use Theme Choser for this? That's what I was originally trying to use, but I couldn't get it to work. As long as I know that it's possible, I at least know what to focus on.
Thanks to all for the responses!

Hi, it can be done in theme chooser, I have done it
I made my theme chooser app with a great guide found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964391 and a lot of patience...
I did find it a bit annoying, as the ROM im using came with two seach widgets, GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk and QuickSearchBox.apk ... So when I tried editing the widget (with theme chooser) it wasnt the right one! So maybe try both if you have both!
Any how, yes it is possible... Theme chooser may be the easiest way. It is possible with ApkTool/ApkManager. Apk Manager might help as it can push the app to /system via adb, and Apk Manager lets you keep the signature if it is a system app, but it may also corrupt it...
Hope this helps you, Matt

This one I created for my X10 Honeycomb theme some times back. its planned to install via xrecovery for X10 froyo then.........
Cheers.
So in case anybody was wondering, I think I see what the problem is...both apktool and apk manager don't seem to be decompiling/recompiling properly. I didn't notice with apktool, but apk manager gives me errors when I try to decompile.
I'm guessing it's because I have to reference something from my samsung device in order to decompile properly, but I'm not sure what.
The best mod that you can make for the google search widget is to delete it! Your phone has a search button for a reason! Why do you want to waste your home screen space? No, really, I really am curious... Flame away and prove me wrong, please lol

HAH! Well...mostly because I've only had the phone (and this is my first android) for about 4 days and I didn't realize there's a search button on it.
But that aside, I really just want to learn how to theme the different aspects of the phone, and I just picked the google widget as my first project cause it was there.

[THEMES][MTD/BML][FC09] ThunderHawk V | 6/26

This is the official ThunderHawk IV Theme with the TouchWiz or AOSP lockscreens. For those of you already running the brand new ThunderHawk IV, you may be slightly out of date. The themes provided here are interchange-able and should be able to flash over any FC09 rom on BML or MTD.
To Install Your Theme:
They shoullllld flash safely and fully in CWM over any FC09 rom, but let's find out together!
To Customize Your Theme:
If you have installed RandomROM IV, then you have proceeded through all of the instructions to create your options.cfg file. If you have not, then you will need the aforementioned file ONLY if you wish to switch to a simpler power menu, enable scroll-able toggles, or switch lock screens.
Download this file and place it on your sdcard under "/clockworkmod/". Now open the .cfg file with a text editor on your phone or a program on your computer such as Notepad++ and change 'yes' to 'no' or vice-versa where applicable. There is no lite/full installation for a theme, but please leave that entry at the top of the file to ensure future RDU installation compatibility.
These three features can be adjusted at any time by simply modifying your options.cfg file and re-flashing your desired theme. Effects will be immediate upon reboot. If you're using the CWM Manager included with RandomROM, you can simply "Flash an Update" to install one of these themes, and the app will boot into CWM, install, and restart your phone all on its own.
Without the requisite .cfg file, defaults will be applied instead (adv. power, scrollable, touchwiz lock).

I'm glad you asked. You may have noticed I've removed the listing from the IV version, and changed the frowny to a smiley. With nothing really left to fix, I'm finally working on it. The reason it's always "in progress" is because I have about 250+ pngs to re-theme, a boat-load of compiling errors ahead of me, and never enough consecutive time to work on it.
This I can definetly relate to people just dont get the amount of detail and time us themers put in for each of our works. Especially when the entire framework is blue

Yup. And seeing as my major focus is on a rom WITH a theme that I like... I've been more focused on getting the rom right first before the theme variants.
UPDATE: Red Variant is uploading now. I may tweak it a tad at some point, but it's good to go.

The compiling errors are the worst. You put all the time into the XML edits and editing .9pngs and then get a error log a mile long leaving you to sift through the carnage to figure out what went wrong so you can fix it. I never truly appreciated how much went into making a theme cause you guys all made it look so easy I now understand what its all about and took me countless long nights learning the trade. And with three kids and working seven days a week means I always have long nights in order to get any theming done. But I wouldn't change a thing cause I love doing it. But people just need to understand that we have lives too and this [email protected]$# is alot of work

Your welcome.
I've actually just updated the green and red themes. A minor tweak to the Green pulldown, but I've revamped several parts of the red theme that were too dark to a more reasonable color.
Question: Would a demonstration of how easy it is to swap between themes and customizations be appreciated?

Swipe-Away Notifications
Hey guys, I've built into the rom the Swipe-Away notifications mod from this thread. It's rather neat because it let's you clear an individual notification in the pull-down menu simply by sliding it to the right or left.
It works, but it's a bit touchy as to how precisely you have to swipe the notification away. That said, it only adds functionality and doesn't hinder or break anything else, so it's in.
I'm trying to find a way to make it work a little better, but it's a bit beyond my scope of Android knowledge.
Really liking these themes a couple more colors would be awesome..

Wifi Mode Themes
For those of you upgrading your phones, but hanging on to your beloved Epics for whatever reason, this is for you! It's a minor, but aesthetically pleasing solution! I've added "Custom Wifi Version [For De-comissioned Phones]" options for the three main color themes (Pink coming when I can make it more pink!). These theme variants change a few key things.
The assumption is, that you will be placing your phone into Airplane Mode, or as I've relabeled it, "Wifi Mode." The airplane symbol in the task bar will be replaced with "WiFi." The carrier label will be replaced from "(No Service)" to still state "RandomROM FC09."
The idea is to make your beloved Epic feel like a wifi device rather than a crippled phone.

Thanks random. This is a great idea from an even greater developer.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I just got the Galaxy S3 but want to continue using the epic because I just paid the 100 dollar insurance deposit after dropping it in a river. Does the wifi variant cut off the cellular radio completely and therefore save the device from using excessive battery searching for signal?

Any chance on the Wi-Fi Themed versions able to get a reupload?
Thanks!
