Infinite Cha0s Themed Apps - Android Themes

Alright, well, I think the title pretty accurately describes what this thread is going to offer. This is part of and an extension of my theme for the D1 Sourcery rom .
Sourcery Rom found here: [ROM Release] Sourcery ROM V2.0 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum or in Rom Manager.
Thanks to eagle1967 and GFlam for an awesome rom.
Theme is downloadable via the rom or here (screenshots abound!): Sourcery ROM - There is an update coming soon to fix a few issues that happened with the last upload of the theme, bear with us.
So, without further ado:
Infinite Cha0s Blue Gingerbread Keyboard (installable as regular app, uninstall previous version 1st - Not sure if it works on 2.1...):

*Notice the & key reads &amp. I can't find a way to fix this and have the colored text on the keys at the same time. I think it's worth it as it's really not that big of a deal. If anyone knows how to fix this though, it would be MUCH appreciated. (I realize there are threads with the "fix" for this, but the fix only works if you don't edit XMLs, so not being able to change the text color on the keys.)
nfinite Cha0s Blue Wireless Tether (installable as regular app, uninstall previous version):
Note: Your pop up menu may vary. These icons are pulled from your framework-res.apk and not the Wireless Tether app.

nice work.. i'm doing a similar morph theme for eclair that i'm currently working on its cyan blue w/ dark transparency
Thanks.
I just need to figure out what to do with the boot screen unless beagz beats me to it and get rid of the separation in the notifications.
I do really want to make the dialers background white, but i'll probably release this before I get that finished.
Both script and apk version of the theme are now available in the OP
great work! the script version is still for the standard update.zip method for 4.2.7.1 right?
Thanks. The script version is for the MetaMorph script versus the MetaMorph.apk, neither are update.zip's
Would people like to see this as a regular update.zip? if enough people would prefer it, I'll make one, but I'd prefer MetaMorph. I can spend more time tweaking and making it better that way.
Ah, USF boy makin' themes!
Ever hit the Brass Tap? I'll have to buy you a pint for your work.
Haha. I even made a USF theme, just haven't ported it since CM 4.04. Brass Tap is out in Wiregrass right? I've been there once before.
great theme
Just installed this on my wife's mt3g. She loves it, so thanks for a theme she finally likes. She did request more purple and pink whenever possible. There are very few themes out there based those colors.
Had one issue after full install. The camra/camcorder app icons where gone. Application manager said Camera.apk is installed, but no way to launch it. I started with a fresh CM 4.2.7.1 flash and did not wipe. I've seen this before with another full theme. I posted the problem here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5043444&highlight=camera#post5043444
I don't think anyone knows what is causing it, and I hardly believe I'm the only one noticing this.
For now I just removed Camera from the morph and everything works fine.
Thanks again and great job.
Glad she likes is, once I get to a point I want to call done I am going to do pink and purple, and purple was already requested in the MetaMorph thread, so that a for sure.
For your issue did you use the apk or the script version? I used it with the script. If you used the apk, I'll try it when I have a chance and check the log and see if I can find anything odd.

I used the apk version 1.1 from the market. Thanks for looking into this. I would like to see what the themed camera looks like
V2 will be up later today. The script version didn't have the new boot screen so I asuume neither did the apk version. There was a few things I had changed. So check for that in a coupple hours
v2 is in the OP this has the boot from the screens
Yes I would prefer update .zip
I need a couple days but ill make this flashable as an update.zip
I am going to make 2 alternate clocks, 1 movado style and 1 full transparent with just clock hands.
Also specialforces gave me an idea for a new launcher, so that when pressed crystals form, I'm gonna work on that this weekend.
I know I need to work on some matching walls next, if anyone has any good ones feel free to make suggestions.
Added both new clocks and a change in the phone for in call, screens and links for those mods in the OP

[ROM] HCDR.ROM v1.7 || Sensible Donut || Added HTC Status Widget, bug fixes.

Hi,
I was starting to get sick of all the Android 1.6 Sense UI ROMs with too many useless Apps installed. I was also getting sick of ones which are "optimised" and run slower as a result.
I have therefore decided to release HCDR.ROM, with the aim to only include Apps which are particularly useful and to only include optimisations which actually do optimise performance. It is based on the WWE 1.67.405.6 release and features the following:
*root
*su + superuser.apk
*busybox
*Sense UI & All Sense Apps
*Silent boot animation
*Everything works as it does on Stock ROM (Camera, WiFi etc.)
*Does not require wipe if flashing from another 1.6 ROM!!!
*All Google Apps included
*ROM Name and Version shown in About Phone
Changelog for v1.1:
*Market Patch v2 by moneytoo
*Zipaligned all *.apk files
*Wipe shouldn't be necessary if upgrading from v1.0
Changelog for v1.2:
*Apps2SD Script Included (This script is not executed properly at boot, so there is no Apps2SD yet! I have fixed this and it will be fully working in the next release.)
*Wipe not necessary when upgrading from v1.0 or v1.1
*Compatible with newly released Black Theme patch (see below)
Changelog for v1.3:
*Apps2SD now fully working. (EXT3 Partition required - Script runs automatically if you have this partition)
*Google Maps 4.4.0 included
*Wipe not necessary when upgrading from a previous version of HCDR.ROM
Changelog for v1.4:
*Apps2SD script updated (now using DarkTremor script) (Only tried with Ext3, I don't know if it will work with Ext2/4. Feel free to try it and post whether or not it works)
*Google Maps moved to /data/app
*De-odexed /system/app
*De-odexed /system/framework
*Dalvik-cache moved to sd card (provided you have an Ext partition - Again, I have only tried with Ext3 so I don't know if Ext2/4 will work)
*More languages unlocked (thanks to danne_jo for this)
*Now compatible with Supercirkle Mod by danne_jo (See here for details) (Requires at least one boot of the phone before flashing)
*Speed increase
*Requires new patch for black theme
Changelog for v1.5:
*New kernel compiled by me to enable tattoo-hack.ko, allowing /system rewrite access
*All sounds converted to .ogg (loop fix)
*New patch released including the overclocked kernel by ralle.gade (as used in KiljackenROM).
Changelog for v1.6:
*Sounds fixed using new .ogg files (thanks to francians)
*Superuser updated to 2.3.3. Superuser.apk moved to /data/app to allow Market update.
*ROM Manager added to /data/app because it's useful and ClockworkMod recovery is better than others. Select Buzz (Wildfire) when selecting recovery. (Can be removed by user if they wish)
*Voice Search added to /data/app since users were having trouble finding it in Market (again, can be removed by user)
*Alarm works correctly now (I have tested multiple times and it works fine for me in this version)
*Nano text editor installed
*Busybox updated to 1.17.1
*White Theme Patch released
Changelog for v1.7:
*Issue fixed where, after flashing, no default ringtone and notification tone would be set
*Added HTC Device Status Widget
*Updated Superuser to 2.3.5
Known bugs:
*Superuser giving Force Close on v1.7. If you experience this, reinstall Superuser from Market. If it still doesn't work, flash v1.6 until I find a fix.
The new Black Theme Patch v3.2 (for v1.4+ ONLY) contains the theme from Sense 2.1 including lockscreen, status bar and icons! Flash in the same way you flash the ROM and old Black Theme. Thanks to JoOoSs for this theme!
The White Theme Patch v1.0 (for v1.4+ ONLY) is a buggy patch made by myself containing the White Theme from the Orange ROM. It is early in development and some things don't display correctly. Everything does still function correctly though.
The Overclock Kernel patch (for all versions) includes the kernel that ralle.gade made for KiljackenROM, which I have compiled from source. (Source available here) This kernel includes tattoo-hack and enables overclock to 710MHz, swap functionality and more. To overclock the CPU you'll have to use SetCPU (available on the market or here at xda if you search) or overclock widget. I would include SetCPU but the developer has requested that it isn't included in ROMs.
IMPORTANT: SetCPU will allow you to set anything up to 748MHz, however, if you go past 710, then SetCPU (and the phone) will freeze up. If you go no higher than 710MHz you'll be fine (although I don't recommend going over 700 as it may become unstable)
There are bugs in this kernel, and quite a few of them. adb may not function properly, and camera only works if CPU scaling is set to performance. THESE BUGS WILL BE FIXED SOON.
Please try it and let me know what you think. If there are any suggestions you have or features which you feel need adding, tell me. I made this ROM to be as close to the original ROM as possible, but with the basic things that I need to have in my ROM such as root
Remember to do a nandroid backup before flashing and if you experience any problems, try a full wipe and re-flash to see if they persist before leaving a comment.

Can you change the theme's color? I don't like grey
For me, the market tooks too many time to load, don't know why.
Another thing, at first the lockscreen didn't have the grey bar but just the hour, now it is like a normal rom. Is it normal?
Look like speeder than the original ROM
would be great if you anyhow activate btft on this rom

I will change the theme colour to black for the next release. The market works fine for me, I'll look into it for you though
And I'm not sure why that happened to the lockscreen, but I'll see if I can replicate the problem and figure out what happened because that's unusual

[Theme] DroidX Red "Blury Nightmare" Beta

Ok, so over the past week I have been teaching myself how to metamorph.
As most people who have used my themes before know, I love motoblur.
Its not over the top, Pretty and simple, and I like the vibrant reds.
So using my mad metamorph skills and my awesome eye for themes, I put together a complete Droid X theme.
This is pretty much done, but still in beta as there are some kinks I haven't flattened out yet, e.g. the 'Send' Button in messaging (can't see text)
Compatible Devices:
Tested and working:
-G1
-Mytouch 3G
Might Work if you find a suitable rom:
-Samsung Galaxy (I7500)
-Samsung Galaxy Spica
-Samsung Behold
-LG GW620
-HTC Hero
-HTC Legend
-Mytouch 3G slide
-Acer Betouch E400
(I'm really not sure about these devices)
This should be fine if you have one of the above devices, and are running a vanilla build of android 2.1 (No sense UI here, folks.)
"Vanilla" Means stock android, How its supposed to be without manufacturers custom user interfaces on top.
I personally use Cyanogen Mod, but you could also use Open Eclair, Super E or any other android 2.1 rom for that matter.
Installing:
I have put together a simple metamorph zip that you can open and apply on your phone using the metamorph app (download off the market)
If you like to get dirty, you can push the framework-res.apk that i have attached down below
-------------
If you like the icons in the launcher, just download the "Droid X ADW Theme" from the market -It's free.
Any questions? Just ask.
Enjoy it!
Thank You~~
would you be so kind as to list the commands for pushing the framework i wanna get use to doing stuff threw commands so im using my test g1 thanks in advance
To make it easier for people you should include the cmparts_ui.xml in the metamorph so they can apply it after using theme theme.
Just add it in a folder in the metamorph called "sdcard and put this in the metamorph (I would do it before the framework-res)
<item>sdcard.cpy</item>
<path>/sdcard/</path>

could you port this theme to froyo vanilla?

[Theme] GingerFroyo v2.4 (2.3 stock theme for All CM6.1 Based ROM's) UPDATED 23-12

Nandroid first! I am not responsible for nuclear war, the price of housing or your phone.
Please Read the whole of this post before asking a question, it may have already been answered
This started as a personal project to get my phone looking like the latest version of Google's OS as I knew it was a slim chace we would get the real thing, and because I wanted to learn a little more about how Android works. There was quite a lot of people showing interest in it, so I decided to post my work for everyone to use on thier Hero's. It has now transformed into somthing alot bigger than I ever expected. There is a lot of community work included in this theme, and I want to say thanks to a few people for thier contributions in either content or testing:
krispijn_s, Studjuice, Kullt, Calico5, LTourist, nmeuret, ximmox
Massive thanks to you all!
Screenshot Gallery
Screenshots are available at the gallery below:
http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/7794007/3/Android/Screenshots/Gingerbread Theme?h=ee6807
Installation steps:
Step 1: Download all four zip files, and put 'GingerFroyo-v2.2-signed' and your choice of keyboard on the root of your SDCard.
Step 2: Reboot to recovery and flash both updates (order doesn't matter)
Step 3: Boot up your phone and apply the XML file via "Settings > Cyanogen / Villain Settings > User Interface > Tweaks Extras > Select a theme > Gingerbread"
Step 4: Extract the files from 'GingerFroyo-Additional-Files' for dock icons and wallpaper to complete the look!
Confirmed working on the following Devices / ROMs

Droid Incredible: CM6.1.0
Motorola Droid: CM6.1.0

Hey dude, I just made a metamorph for the Hero with these things resized (I used the HDPI versions in the SDK as source).
Here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9658192
Feel free to use em.
Ps. I haven't figured out the whole menu text colour thing either (prolly one of the xmls in drawable), so I kept the original menu_background.
Exactly what i was gonna do tomorrow! Looks like you beat md to it. If i work out how to change the text in the menu and the pulldown notification i'll let you know as your metamorph is alot.more flexible then my method. Feel free to us the bits for LP and keyboard in your post, if yours works on Froyd i will close my post and point it to yours, no sense in maintaing two versions!

Flashed JVT from start with custom .PIT file. Speeds up Ice Cream sandwich, I've tested this and it works great. Visually no lag and it works on top of any lag fix you do after wards.
[HOW TO]

So here it is:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/43088692/12MB_Gain_NAND_Symlinked_Modem.bin.zip
Download and instructions - Everything you need is in that zip (its not a CWM zip by the way) load it to your PC and unzip. Follow the PDF print outs I have included and also as an acknowledgement to ykkfive's hard work (this references directly back to coolya's work from XDA https://github.com/cmsgs/utilities/tree/master/pit-stuff)

1. You can do this by taking a CWM Nandroid backup of your current setup.
2. Flash back to stock using Odin and the files I have provided in my drop box zip file.
3. I have added modem.bin file, script manager apk, buszybox apk and superuser apk for everyone should they wish to test the script and modem on the base JVT setup that they just flashed.
4. When it works correctly boot into recovery and then restore your CWM Nandroid backup and viola your done
5. Boot up - NB: You will notice you have no reception until you run the script in script manager.
You set on moot the script to run and in ICS it seems to work better than on JVT (where I had to initiate the script even after checking the onboot function).

Nova Launcher! Yeeeew finally a replacement. ****s on the standard launcher, can make GOSMS my sms app in the dock setup just how I always wanted it. Go Launcher Ex fails big time on ICS so don't bother installing it (even though I love it) the animations on GO Launcher cause big time crashing hahaha test for ya self for LOLs
You will ditch the stock launcher in an instant once your on this. It allows resizing of widgets and app draw also has widget draw like standard launcher.

Ice cream sandwich clock download from market. It looks like the clock in the pictured icon of the clock....not the gay looking analog clock that comes with it that I tried for ages to work out how to change the skin when you can't.
Haven't got a link for it atm but its in the Market so just download from there.
Feel free to post up anything additional that would be helpful

Heya everyone. I am not sure if bumping is allowed on here, but I noticed I didn't get any replies from anyone and I know there a hell of a lot of Ice Cream Sandwich users out there now.
Feel free to share any add ons.
Thank you for sharing this, i cant understand why google decided to build a dialer without t9 index.
since i got t9 dialer i never keep the numbers in my head anymore!

Whats the difference? I am running a tweaked version of MyUI ICS ROM on my Phone and freakin rocks!
The MyUI version of the ICS ROM based off OneCosmic's RC 2.11.
- List of Mods. 1% increments on the battery using the similar style to Perka's MOD of Elin ROM ICS. Uses the ICS font for numerals upto 100 and has blue lightning bolt whilst charging.
- Uses Nova Launcher and Glitch Kernel but with the nice white standard Google boot image and tweaked Boot animation as well.
-Center Date in notification dropdowm menu
Drop box is here:

Acknowledgments go out to Perka and MyUI

Feel free to try it out. Just do Nandroid backup of your ROM and then flash this, then restore Data from your Nandroid backup and your back in action
anyway to stop vibration on lockscren?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
I think there is, u need to search in settings of the phone.
Thanks alot, Ive been looking for swype and a good and proper replacement launcher!
swype thread link broken?
didnt find a way to disable vibration on lock screen. if you disable haptic feedback in settings, it still vibrates.
furthermore, the vibration on haptic feedback is very high and not configureable.. thats annoying. disabled it, using now a keyboard with custom vibration length (htc_ime mod, yeah - still running under ics)

That one doesn't work after i tested it. The look of it is nice but the apk is made for a much bigger phone. It stretches too wide for the screen lol.
I went back to FlexT9 keyboard. By far the best swype out there that I have ever used. I keep deviating but I keep returning back to that old faithful hahaha. The issue with ICS is that it won't let you over ride the standard ICS keyboard to use anything other than native. So you need to freeze the keyboard apps with Titanium Backup. Then install the keyboard of your choice...in my case FlexT9. then I go and remove the apks from system/app like LatinIME and any associations with the standard keyboard, dictionary etc and put them in a folder on my SD card for "just-in-case"....cause that Justin bloke has saved me on many occasions lol.
I managed to use SwiftKey X without any problem - I do not need to freeze the stock ics keyboard apps.
i guess u knw wt i have done ..
You've found my very very very old thread that I started when ICS only first came to SGS...hahah
