Are there any issues to using one account (non-Gmail) for B&N registration and then a different account (Gmail) for Market/YouTube access on a rooted NC?
Another way of asking: Should the B&N registration always be the Gmail account used for Market and Google apps access?
I've seen posts of people running into registration issues with rooted NCs, but no clear explanation as to why.
Thanks.
Haven't found any issues yet with using two accounts.

Anyone get Yahoo Mail to work email app? Comes up with login errors on my SGS but works fine on Milestone. What is different about Samsungs email client? Are there any versions that work?

If anyone cares, K9 mail works with Yahoo.
Will try AOSP email next. I wonder if Samsung and Yahoo just had some disagreement lol

Got it working with yahoo.com using imap protocol.
Mine works fine with POP, I have a very old account though so have the option to use POP, I'm sure newer accounts don't have this option unless you pay far a premium account

Yeah POP is now available on the paid account. POP sucks anyway

Can you post the settings you used? This is with Samsung email app not AOSP right?
There's a few apps on the Android Market that I'd like to purchase. If I do that, and then later on restore my Nook to factory and re-root, will I have to purchase the apps again? Or is the purchase in some way linked to the serial number of my NC?
I believe Market purchases are linked to your GMail account.
Yes, Market purchases are linked to your account. For example, the apps I purchased for my Droid all show in my NC market as purchased, and I can download them for free.

Ah, that's perfect! Thanks for the info.
It's just purchases though right? If I re-root all the free apps wont show up in my apps correct?
This is good to know. Thanks

That is correct but there is another app market that you can install that will track your installs
So any idea what would get my google checkout account suspended? or is this some market glitch I wasn't aware of? I'm running phoenix reloaded 2.0 rom, live in USA. When I click Buy on something, I get a pop up saying my password is wrong or my account has changed.
The google checkout site says it could have suspended for violation of ToS or "product specific ToS"

You need to check your gmail account and make sure that it has not been hacked.
I can sign in and out of it fine, just the market doesn't work, or checkout.

Need some help.
Just recently got issued a Droid Bionic by my IT staff and was given instructions on how to set up corporate sync, however it appears that the version of activesync on the phone and the one on the server don't match.
Is there a way to downgrade the activesynce version on the phone?
just get a third party like enhanced email or maildroid i get my work email through there all the time you just need your server numbers etc.. and it works fine..
I recommend enhanced email. Its awesome and the reason I like it alot is because it reads html formatted stuff which I need. Totally worth it....

I've been using Mail Wise
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.syntomo.email
They have instructions on their site on how to bypass Exchange Security if you want to.

I believe Nine, which is a fantastic paid ActiveSync app, allows you to set the PIN at the application level instead of device level. Far less annoying! I don't have the PIN requirement on my EAS account so I've never tested
