The Silicon Snap on Hard Cover for $9.97 (I could never find it on ebay, and this one is not like the cheap plastic ones you get from there)
Also the OEM battery cover is $10, not sure if thats a deal but I saw it's $18 on ebay. Mine is all scratched up from sliding the phone on my desk and countertops over the past few months, it doesnt even say XPERIA anymore, just XPEP

When I first saw the price I tried going to the store but no one had any of this stuff in stock. Free 2 day shipping is fantastic though.

Man I appreciate this post. I immediately went and ordered the dock. I had one for my LG Ally and I used it every day, so this is a great deal and a great time to buy.

Just curious....did Verizon not include the dock when u got the phone? Only ask cause I got one with my AT&T play. Sucks if they didn't.

Nope - Verizon packages together the phone, the battery, the USB cable, the charger end and a cable to allow non-Sony Ericsson headsets to work with the play. Of course, since I got my Play free with a 2-year contract renewal, I can't really complain.

Ordered mine today, supposed to get it in 2 days with free shipping. This will be the other part to one of my xmas presents. Bought the Xperia Play as a gift (12 year old boy). from the photo you can see theres a strip of faux leather that i've been able to clip a stylus to also it is magnetic so if there is a smart cover type thing going on im getting in on the ground floor but this really was a "woop woop im getting a nexus" purchase.
including a few more pics can't say for sure but the stylus may fit in the stem of the cover even when closed
again can't be sure until i get the device
here are a few more pics
stylus came with a ebay bag of accessories for my sgs2
several lessons from this experience
one: never buying an non nexus device
two: never buying that device from google!

Says it's specific to the n7 but won't know for sure until an n7 actually graces it with its presence

Don't mock the case! I have one and it fits my Nexi™ perfectly. They have the new pics up now of it with an actual Nexus 7 in it rather than a photo shop job.
And the magnet thing works like a charm putting my Nexi™ to sleep.

That gives us an idea of the insane profit margins they get out of these things.

I've tried one of those out at a vendor in a mall. The magnet is too strong and will turn your screen off if you hold it with the cover folded back. Just a warning.

the tablet first goes into a ugly bezel blocking "leather" sleeve then it Velcro itself to the case
pictures to follow shortly, it looks better in the picture than the real thing but for 3 bucks it is worth it

I agree and am not arguing with you, but I'm just wondering if you can name any hazardous material that isn't lead.

most if not all these low tech gadget accessories are made from similar materials at more or less crappy working environments by workers that are not so well compensated, that's just business, no sense of over compensating someone when you get get the same for less
point being that you could have paid 20 bucks for a case yet you will never know for sure if they mistreat their worker or used materials that are otherwise harmful to your body
while i see your point, i guess the false sense of getting better quality when paying extra or by buying brand name is something that i disagree with
by the way, it is just a tablet case, not a baby feeding bottle or health supplement, even if they did use something that can possibly be harmful to our body, i doubt it will have any significant health effects before the case or tablet become obsolete

with this case thats false it does not do that. i have the case and love it. and the smell everyone is talking about is due to the fact its fake leather fyi and its in a tight package. ive had mine for a while now the odor smell went away after a day being out of the package.

These cases are polyurethane, and that's the "chemical smell". It's normal.

most of us got this same case for 5 bucks, i got another one for 2.99
seriously it is not worth any more than 5 i first paid but it does its job

iOttie Car dock, not bad for $20

Got myself a cheap temporary dock for my Note 2 until I get the ProClip one in a month or two (waiting till after xmas). Found this one on Amazon for a nice $20. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
I like it so far. Very stable and has a good range of motion to it. No vibrations at all, (does start shaking a little bit when doing 150).
Also works nicely to hold it as a dash camera.
Also holds my phone with no problem with the Body Glove case on it.
Oh and that white square isn't part of it. Thats one of my NFC tags to start Waze and CoPilot whenever I put it in the dock.

This dock is technically one of those "universal ones", but it works well because of the spring loaded lock.
When you press the phone in, it hits this little button and snaps the side grips closed on your phone.
Then once they are closed, to release, just press these two and it unlocks the phone.
And nice thing is, because of how you have to release it, the phone will fall into your palm and you can just grab and go.

thanks for posting this, looks like a nice mount, the only thing i wish it had was a built in microusb cable to automatically start charging without me having to connect it lol

The nice thing is that it will grab textured dash just as well. Mine has been on my dash for over a week and it is not losing it's grip.

I don't know why you guys buy car dock for. Its big and ugly. Its always in the way. It looks like a cawk sticking out from the windshield. Its best to get a 1 inch rubberband and 3 dollar case and modify it. I had it done on my sg2. I'm waiting on my case and will post pictures later.

because in order to use the phone case as a dock you need to use the phone SANS CASE and that is not acceptable to me
as for why a dock? thats easy. fumbling with the phone while driving is a good way to die and possibly kill others ie don't do it.
dock makes it convenient. Slip Grip made a case for the impact case I use for the S3 hopefully they will make an impact case for the Note II and hopefully slip grip will make a grip for the Note II in the impact case

Your bulky case couldn't possibly be bigger than this behemoth:
There is still a couple of mm on each side so it wil accomodate even an otterbox defender is my guess.

actually that's what I call a slim case the cases I use feom case ology are quite a bit thicker in both thickness and width
Though this jelly tank korean case I got today is pretty impressive

Hi, thanks for showing the case, it looks really good!
Just one concern, is the case material strong enough to hold the tablet in portrait mode when you are working on it, say typing or tapping on the tablet?
Some of the rotating cases (for ipads) that I've used in the past wobble quite a bit when in portrait (and to some extent in landscape mode as well) when you press on the tablet.

Not a bad case for the money,,,I just wish they knew the difference between Leather and Pleather. Don' call it leather when it's clearly NOT!!!

Can someone enlighten me as to what the point of the strap at the bottom of the case is? Mine has a piece of velcro on the one side but not the other, and since there is no cloth on the inside of the case I had to use some Velcro circle stickies I had laying around in order to get it to stay shut...maybe I missed something?

Does it get tucked under tablet to keep it in? I have a BT case for a Xoom with a flap like that.
