Microphone composite 3.5mm jack? - Nook Color General

Does the NC have a composite 3.5mm headphone/mic jack, or is it only a headphone jack?

2.5 mm to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack

Hi
I would like the help of this forum to guide me on how to convert the 2.5 mm headphone jack to use a 3.55 headphone jack.
I have seen couple of extensions for the same. However I am not too confident on the compatibilty between XDA models plus Quality.
Should I buy those converter or do companies like SONY , AIWA, PANASONIC make headphones which have a 2.5 mm headphone jack.
Regards
Dhruv
for regular audio usage I bought a converter @ the local radio shack for €2 & it works fine. Can't use it for phone functions, but that's why I got an earpiece.
Bought an 2.5mm jack for €1 too, which I soldered myself on a regular headphone & that works ok too.
Since these prices are very low you can always try. It's much cheaper than a special 2.5mm jack good quality headphone. Which are very difficult to find.

I bought a dirt cheap 2.5mm adapter from my local Maplin store, but unfortunately its jack doesn't quiiiiite fit properly into the socket and to make sound come through in both ears I have to push the adapter into the slot all the time.
Not really a fix, and I can't replace the 3.5mm jack with the 2.5mm jack as I use my headphones all the time on my MP3 player / PC (and they're nice MDR-EX71s too...)
You can buy a RIDICULOUSLY expensive adapter from the Expansys shop (http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=113091 - but £9.45 + shipping for a 2.5mm jack to 3.5mm socket with half an inch of wire connecting them? Wow! I should go into this business.)
You could always buy the original headset, which can be found on Ebay for about £4 - £5 incl. delivery I think.
2,5 jack for o2i
yesterday I went to supermarket and bought a 2,5 jack (2usd) for connecting between o2i and MP3 headphone. I can listen to the music in my 02i very well and think that there is no problem on it.

Headset with in-ear speakers?

Any suggestions for wire headset with in-ear speakers and microphone?
(Have to have wire for the FM radio antenna and like to have in-ear.)
Thanks in advance!
isn't this what comes with the phone??

The ones that comes with the phone are with "ordinary" speakers, not in-ear type. I attach some pictures.

HD2 optional headphone jack with mic?

I do not like the headphones that came with the HD2.
I have had sony and LG phones that had a 3.5mm jack right where the mic/answer/pause/etc clip. So I could use any set of headphones I wanted.
I know I can plug directly into the HD2. But I would like to have the control to answer the phone and talk with the mic using my earbuds.
Anyone know of a universal 3.5mm cable with the mic clip etc. that works with the HD2?
Thanks

How would it be, if you would use the "search" function?!
There are quite a lot threads around talking about this subject, I can't see any need for a new one!

[Q] Headphone jack producing spotty listening

Anyone having issues with their headphone jack?
It seems hit or miss whether or not my headphones will produce a good sound or not. There's a great deal of turning the connector to fix the problem currently.
And before any body asks, no, I'm 100% positive its not the headphone cord or jack, seeing as playing the audio through my DAC/Portable amp set up doesn't produce the same problem.
Bum headphone jack?

have you tried a different set of headphones? some people were reporting that their sol jax buds had some glue on the connector causing issues.

My son had this problem with his sol jax buds. Only seemed to be a problem on the Moto X, and other headphones worked fine on the Moto X. Didn't see any excess glue or another outward sign of a problem. Motorola replaced the buds with another pair of the same model and all works fine now.
My dell desk speakers won't work when plugged in directly to motox but they will work with an extension cable plugged in. I have similar issues with certain headphones and my tablet. I guess headphone jacks on mobile devices are not all made the same?

Note 8 and Rode video mic

I just bought the Rode video mic for my Note 8 and I'm hearing you need a special cable to connect the mic to the phone?

If there is no 3.5mm jack or usb, im not sure how it will connect. I haven't used externals mics yet.
If it has those thick jack, then there are adapters thag will fit in.
