Hi!!
Something happens with my Nexus One over the night.. I wake up every day with my N1 asking for the Pin unlock code.
Doesn't matter the ROM, RADIO or KERNEL (it just happens with Android 2.3)
My solution was to remove the ask for pin code option...
How can I debug this issue?
anyone please?
Sounds like it's rebooting over night.
Lately when I wake up, I cathe it rebooting.. but its not a normal reboot...
It show the boot animation for linke 3sec and then ask for pin code.. so its rebooting
How can I debug this problem?
I've managed to extract the K_lastmsg: http://pastebin.com/hjaqQVAR
And the logcat: http://pastebin.com/8wKmAE2W
Can anyone help find the problem?
Thank you!
Please?

Sounds and looks like a kernel panic. I don't see an obvious reason for the crash in last_kmesg. It complains a bit about bad sectors on the internal memory but it should be able to handle those without crashing. What version of CM are you running?
same thing happened to my g1. but nothing similar has happened to my N1. Have you tried lowering the clock speed? I've noticed that if my clock speed is above 900 it'll reboot. Or you could just try wiping your cache and stuff then reflashing it.
I'm using nightly#41.. but no matter what Rom I use. Its always during the morning (usualy before I wake up) no matter the kernel or radio...
I've wiped like 100times 3times each lol but with no lucky... on froyo i never had this problem...
I've no setCPU installed (for debugging purposes)
I'll try the latest nightly though... tomorrow I'll post again

there you go..
Yesterday I've flashed latest nightly #57.
But this mornig it happen again!
I've pulled out theese logs right after the reboot.

btw.. how can I repair thoose bad blocks?
any help please!
Thank you!
Can't repair bad blocks.
Kernel is not failing according to the logs. Logcat is too old to diagnose anything I'm afraid.
I suggest it's an app or hardware.
Move to a stable ROM
Only install basic apps
Try again

Hey guys,
I upgraded my G1/Dream from an older cyanogen version, to the newer one 4.2.15.1
and now for some reason my phone keeps restarting Any reason why ?
Can you please tell me how to fix it?
I've taken battery out & Also 'green+home+red' . Same keeps happening.
It restarts when it wants, can be 2 minutes, 10, 30.. but lately ever 1 minute or so..
What can I do?
Bump
bump
Anyone?? please
I'd recommend a full wipe and reinstall of your desired rom from scratch. Sounds like kernel panics to me.
my g1 was freezin up alot on cm4.15.1.... before it died and i had to get it replace....try unrootin and then root again and if it doesnt work it could be a hardware prob.

Why would you completely unroot and reroot? That's just too much work.
Wipe, and reflash. Also, a few apps have a problem with custom ROMs, try disabling apps that run in the background one by one until you find that your phone no longer reboots.
However, if you didn't wipe, I highly recommend that as the person before me said.
Good day master, just going to ask why my sgm shutdown by itself.

i already did
Try reflashing the rom.
yess !! For all newbes ====>>
after flashing your phone with CUstom rom or stock if you have problem reflash if CWM work or if dont work try with odine in download mode if doanload mode work is great for you past any Stock rom you wont [VER example 2.2,2.3 etc...etc] after this if all work fine and phone reset like factory you are free to past or not a custom rom is simple for all question about how to flash via CWM or odine searche in the XDA forum for [TUTORIAL] thanks and good luck !!! ^^
No no no guys.. don't bother with reflashing and stuff, that's not the problem.. I had the same problem and I googled it for months until I've learned its a Samsung wifi hardware related problem and mostly Galaxy devices are affected. Something is wrong when phone goes in standby. It continues to work but you can't wake it and you have to reinsert battery to get it on again.
The solution is to install a tiny app called Wake Lock, it's there on market.. it keeps phone awake even when you lock screen. My phone doesn't shut off anymore and I can finally rely on it. I don't have to think anymore and check all the time if the phone is off and if I'm going to miss a call...
The alternative is to turn off wifi before you lock screen but I think that most of us need wifi on all the time to get mails and messages on time
true, this is a samsung prob it gave me a hard time many months back.
but also make sure u've wiped data before flashing.
but seriously why is this in accessories?!
I flashed many ROMs and wiped data but my Mini was still shutting down.. the Wake Lock is the real fix, I had no shutdowns for months now
I have the same problem!
Me too have the same prob.. ny sgm also runs in rc5.4 shuts down itself

Hi Guys,
I had a reboot loop problem in my X8 after installing Viber from a Wifi connection and decided to mod it. I successfully unlocked the boot loader & rooted my Xperia X8. Flashed it with CM7 RC1 V4. I rebooted the phone to see the Cyanogen Mod screen with the skate board and it proceeded to ask me a question about the setup wizard or market option, I made a selection and the phone went dead. It rebooted and started hanging on the SE logo. I thought it was due to Baseband 15 and flashed it but no luck.
I have Clockwork Mod on it and can randomly enter it also. I would appreciate any help and pointers, is this an issue due to using the wifi and is the hardware at fault. Once the boot loop starts the battery drains pretty fast I can see the Cyanogen battery status icon and try to wait for it to charge completely
Many thanks & regards

* Did you factory reset it from CWM before installing the ROM? Boot loops are common when one doesn't, particularly if you're coming from another ROM (from what you say, I guess you're coming from stock 2.1)
* It seems that you flashed baseband 015 AFTER flashing the new ROM. AFAIK it should be done BEFORE flashing a new ROM, while still on stock 2.1. If that's the case, you'd have to go back to 2.1 using SEUS (or Flashtool; there are stock ROM images here on XDA), THEN flash baseband 015, THEN root, THEN flash CM7 again.
---
As a side note, you unlocked your bootloader but didn't install a new kernel, which is what one normally unlocks the bootloader for. Unlocking the bootloader isn't needed to flash a ROM as long as it works with the stock kernel (most don't, but yours should.)
Mod issue or battery or hardware fault

Many thnks for the reply mate, what you said is right. I might have missed a few things. But I reflashed Baseband 15 yesterday before your reply to my post and now it seems to be booting into cyanogen mod happily but each time it takes only a few seconds and through a few setup screens before it reboots again. This is exactly what was happening even on the stock ROM before doing any Mod procedure and the battery gets drained too. Could this be a hardware fault.

i didnt get it, when on setup screen you mean when it tells to add your email.....and when you are finished it reboots?!
if i understood well, there is no hardware problem, go to cwm, full wipe-factory reset, advanced>wipe dalvik, reinstall your rom(install custom zip) and it should work:fingers-crossed:

Thanks for the reply stamatis, basically its just shutting down because there is no battery left to power it, it seems. At times it reaches upto the setup wizard (shown when booting for the first time), the next time it could go up to adding a gmail account or language selection screen. I have even seen it load the home screen before it shuts off. This all started happening after downloading some apps from a wifi connection. I have done that before wiping and re installing but will try again. My presumption is that since it was happening on stock ROM and now on CM7 too then it's probably a hardware issue

ok i see now, your problem is battery drain,
is it that extream? i mean, you charge to full and when you open it up it shut down by low battery?
have you try to opening while charging?is it the same?
are you sure its charging?
that way too xtream to be software problem so its more likely that its hardware...

yes you got it right. I do charge it fully and when it boots the CM7 UI for a few seconds the battery goes down half or even less or nearly empty. I have tried opening it while charging and thats when the above happens, yes I can see the Cyanogen charging icon. So you think its a hardware issue and I should not pursue it further

yea, i guess your battery almost dead.....and i dont think its a good idea to by new battery, you better buy new phone,as the batteries are quite expensive if you think that the worth of the x8 right now would be 50 euros....
Try ebay bro

Have you recently installed any apps? Sometimes apps can cause issues like this, especially the shady ones.
Also, can you boot into recovery? Might need to try and factory reset it. If it's restarting while in recovery it -might- be the battery... But probably a hardware issue...
Hi guys,
my i9000 often gets stuck in the bootanimation, im using latest Hellybean from 27.10.13. It runs pretty smooth, but sometimes when i simply reboot my phone, it just gets stuck in the animation. I have no idea, why this happens.
Im using swap, zram with 30%, live oc @105%, and link2sd...
Does anyone have any idea, what is the source of this problem or does anyone have similar problems and was able to fix or lessen that bug?
To get out of the loop, i simply restore my latest backup, but its pretty annoying to do this every 2nd day and i dont think, that this is how the device should work.
Greetings
Maybe you can find some hints in the boot.txt ...hope hellybean write it, too ...
