Some people over here made some nice themes for WP7 and I made in Photoshop some additional .png Icons to use for your favorite programms and games. Of course you can use them to make your own theme as well as long as you won't use my work for commercial work and when you release it, please mention my name. It is free but it is always nice to read a comment of course.
Also I made myself a nice blackish WP7 theme for during office hours which has no animations or anything, just the basic which looks stylish for at work or customers: You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655591
EDIT: 28-03: As it now really takes serious time, and it is over 10,000 times downloaded in total I created a donate button as signature. If you want to give me a beer, I am very happy with it;-)
VIDEO Theme modified, sorry for the little watermark in the middle, I had to convert from .mov to .flv for upload:

As everybody has other songs/contacts, from Music and Contacts I added a .psd file where you can change everything. Calender and home icons, change in Storage Card/Dock/Home
Overview .png icons click on image to enlarge:
For the home icons, you need to change the font of the unread messages to font 36 and place them in the right hand top corner, it looks great.
29-03: Here 55 High Quality Icons black squared. You can use them in a application pages or just replace the home screen ones of your favorites. Click to enlarge (if you want to see them bigger (50%), click the magnifying class when imageshack has opened the file, that way you see the quality the best, but still, it is 50% of the real size than)
As the zipfile is to big (8,7MB) to upload here I putted them on mega upload: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E6DIZNOW
As I can't see how much it is downloaded please put a comment in this topic
Cheers,
Arnold
reserved for updates: 17 new icons for your applications and 21 new game icons, high quality in 2 different zipfiles, 4 wallpapers METEO, 3 Wallpapers Music, 3 Wallpapers People, 3 Wallpapers Pictures and 10 pictures for animation. Here an overview of them all:
And here 10 pictures for changing Picture animation. They are in LesscroWP7 - Animation - Pictures. There is one 18+ in it which I now covered up decently, but it is 18+ in zipfile.
If you want to make them yourself, just find a wallpaper/picture you want and use croptool in Photoshop giving these values: 360 px width and 169 px height. Add text, font Tahoma, size 18, and use a space after each letter.
Wallpaper Weather, just replace these 4 wallpapers in the Wallpaper/METEO folder on your device. They are atteched as weather.zip
Wallpaper People: 3 seperate wallpapers which you have to replace in the folder lesscro WP7 - Wallpaper - People. You might to move the invisible links a bit to get the best result
Wallpaper Music: 3 seperate wallpapers which you have to replace in the folder lesscro WP7 - Wallpaper - Music. You might to move the invisible links a bit to get the best result
Wallpaper Pictures: 3 seperate wallpapers which you have to replace in the folder: lesscro WP7 - Wallpaper - Pictures. The spelling mistake CATEGORIE is changed from Dutch to English in the zipfile now
For non X-boxers I made some Games Wallpapers and for the home page instead of the Xbox animation just Games animation.
Also Game Pack 4 released 25-03 on request with the following icons:
Assassins Creed, Crazy Taxi, Brain Challenge 3, Dragon Ball, Experiment 13, Planet Protector, Pocket Uno, Spiderman Toxic City, Solitaire, Prince of Persia, Resco Snake, Boxing and Bubble Breaker. no screenshot, but they are just as good as the others
And Game pack 5 released 31-03 on request with the following Icons:
piano, scarface, blackjack, pokerart, lotto, poker timer, jblend, Clue, The Sims 3 and Aces Texas Hold'em
Game Animation. Download zipfile and replace all 20 files in "Lesscro -Animation - Xbox Live. Tip: Change in Author Mode on this the duration from 1 to 4 seconds, otherwise the pics are flashing around very fast:
Here some Game Wallpapers you can replace. Be sure you answer on the question " Do you want to set this wallpaper for all pages" with No.
They all are in the same games.zip file atteched.
Wallpaper Zelda:
Wallpaper Need for Speed:
Wallpaper Yoshi:
Wallpaper Assassins Creed:
Wallpaper Nintendo:
And I don't use stock, and replace the stock by applications. In the zipfile there is also a new home4.jpg, you can set this as background instead of the default one.
Here some Application Wallpapers
Wallpaper Castle:
Wallpaper Field:
Wallpaper Cold:
Wallpaper City:
Wallpaper Beach:
And on request the wallpapers for music/video, Pictures, Weather and People in a clean way, here the thumbnails, click to enlarge:
04. April:
Some more clean wallpapers, so you have something to choose from, click to enlarge:
Download "wallpapers WP7 new.zip" for those.
If you want another wallpaper and don't have photoshop, put the link of the wallpaper you want over here, minimum size 1440x900 and I will make it for you.

wow, nice work!
I have much idea for this skin but I will integrate this icons now :d
can you make a game background page 2 and 3 for add game because a lesscro background is not empty
thanks you
well, I tried some backgrounds, but with all this big game Icons, the background is nearly gone of course. Here a low resolution sample of something you can do to make it not to crowdy...
Other idea is to make the game shortcuts the same as the programm shortcuts, than a nice background will look good.
Cheers,
Arnold
12 more game icons are added in post 2.
By the way, lots of viewers, over 200 downloads in one day but no one has feedback????

Arnold

same Question ??
To make it a little viewable, please don't use this topic for questions to LeSSCro and his theme as he probably won't read it anyway. This topics is just for Icons you can use for this theme or other W7 themes. I didn't develop the theme, I just photoshopped some icons for it Thanks!
You can ask him everything on the forum he made for his theme:

music favorites
I don't know how I can use the music psd to make the music favorites, looks cool, can you give me a hint, please?
UPDATE POSTED in POST #2
your games and a few others are added to post 2, check them out.
About the music .psd file.
Do you have photoshop? With that programm you can open the file, change artist and song, save as a .png file and put it on your phone.
Than add widget in the theme, set this .png file as the image.
by "Script on tap" add " choose "play a sound file", change sound files to all files in the top and search for your .mp3 song on your device.
Select OK, and now in " Script on tap" Change "Play a sound file" to " Launch a program". Save and there you go.
You have to change it to launch a program otherwise he would not play the song. When you tap it Default Windows Media Player opens and he will play the song. Just close the Media Player, the song continues and you can go on working with the Lesscro theme ;-)
Good luck.
Cheers,
Arnold

Hi everybody!
First of all, I am using Buzz Launcher, which means that my "themes" are made following specific parameters such as the grid size, no labels, etc.
But I think that other launchers allow you to customize your appearence as well.
My phone resolution is 854*480.
I had a 720p one but had to send it back, so for now I can't work on that resolution anymore.
So for those having higher resolutions, well I don't know what the result would be on your screens. Except for wallpapers, I guess icons would be displayed well.
Before sharing my files, I'd like to show you what I've done so far and get your opinion: if you like it or not, what I could/should change, etc.
This to get a nice final result.
And obviously I won't and never will sell those resources because:
- I'm using some stuff such as photographs from other persons
- Some icons are directly made from other icons you can find on the Play Store or Google Image
- I'm here to share
To be edited later (once I have posted 10 messages and can freely post direct links):
I. Icons only
II. Backgrounds only
III. Themes: icons + backgrounds
I. ICONS
II. BACKGROUNDS
III. THEMES
Hey!
One of my nicest try so far: a panda theme! (I love pandas)
The panda is partially made from an iPhone game icon named Land-a-panda (see the attached pictures).
Those icons are for HD displays (720p): 144x144. Work fine on lower resolutions.
And I've "made" a few backgrounds too, giving quite a cool result when used with those icons.
Also, because it's quite boring to always have the same face, I just added 2 other kinds of eyes (see Viber and Video Player icons).
What do you think? Worth sharing them?
Any idea welcome
Let's keep up the monologue.
Seems not be be very interesting. Whatever, I'm sharing my work anyway.
Let's begin with the icons:
192 icons (64 app with 3 different kinds of pandas), pretty high quality: 144x144. See the sample below.
And if you are wondering: yes, it took me ages to save each file.
I'll share the Photoshop template once I can post direct links (man that's some weird annoying policy!), so that you can create your own icons without having to wait for updates (as I may not update this theme anyway).
If you give it a try, please share some photos/screenshots
ZIP file size: 3.62Mb
Note: if you find the icons resolution too high (say you want a 96px² size), you can use a (free) software such as ImRe to massively convert the whole folder. It perfectly and quickly does the job.
Laterz
Hey oi!
New icons, "copied" from a screenshot I saw somewhere (I think it's called themer, it's new and not compatible with all phones (not my X720D).
So here we go, 3 samples and the template file (PSD, Photoshop CS5).
The PSD is made as follow:
- A folder with the white pictures representing the icons (that's the part you really need to work on if you want to make your own icons)
- The icon's shadow (layer)
- The icon's color (layer), locked to the edit mode (you pick your color, use the brush tool and paint: it will paint ONLY the visible pixels).
Theme 5: Japanology (again)
The principle of this theme is simple: the background is the main deal, then there just needs to add the app and choose a transparent PNG to make them invisible.
Main problem with that theme: icons cannot be replaced, which means you must always keep the same applications on your screen.
edit: well it seems that uploading pictures isn't working at the moment. My PC or the servers, I don't know. I'l try to re-upload later if it keeps showing a 404.
Hum there seems to be a problem with uploading pictures from the forum. Even after having edited my post 2 times.
Hoho but I found a way to post links without having 10 posts: quotation (I hope you won't mind)
Click on each picture to enlarge it. See the above post for more information about how to use that "theme" (Buzz Launcher); Note that you must create your own date/time/battery widget (as in the screenshot below).

Alarm Clock
Applications

Camera
E-mail

And of course the PSD file to add your own ones.

It's well known that the Nexus 7 2012's display has been very poorly calibrated at the factory, resulting in washed-out colors. The Nexus 7 2013 also has a yellow/green tint making skin tones look pale.
There's now a gallery app "Calibrated Photo Viewer" on Google Play with pre-calibrated color and gamma corrections so photos will look alive again.
The app works just like a normal photo viewer. No rooting is required.
wow...are you related to this app or what, this app is so new that almost no ppl talked about it except you
if you are using it and would like to "recommend" to others, why dont you post some test shots of it or even post the google play link here?
Unfortunately I couldn't post a link since my post count is less than 10.
Try this way. Append https:// to the address below
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.auralisoft.jpegviewer
You can find screenshots there. It's not useful to post screenshots here since you must view the screenshots on your actual Nexus 7 device to see the real difference.

Test shots
Here goes (images taken with a Canon EOS 500D)
This is an image as displayed raw on a Nexus 7 2012

Notice the more vibrant green dress and healthier looking skin tones.
Added color balance controls
I have added controls for custom fine tuning of color balance, to allow for variations between different Nexus 7 devices.
MKBHD posted a very cool wallpaper for the iPhone 7 which had a graph background with labels for everything like Signal, battery, etc. which you can check out here:
https://twitter.com/MKBHD/status/837...096129538?s=09
I wanted a similar wallpaper but for Android and after hours of searching, couldn't find one. So I made my own
Now since Android is very customizable, it is virtually impossible to make a universal wallpaper for all android phones. Therefore this guide so that everyone can make that wallpaper for their phone themselves!
Note: Some basic Photoshop skills will be required which I will not be explaining in this guide.
STEP 1: Downloading the .PSD files
I have uploaded 2 files, one for the homescreen and one for the lockscreen. You can download both if you wish to at any one of them.
Homescreen - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2XbBDw3Myp5WG5uSF8yUlRmZHM
Lockscreen - https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2XbBDw3Myp5bE8tNExhaU9uaDA
STEP 2: Placement of screenshot and blueprint background
This is the main step.
Take a screenshot of your current homescreen and/or lockscreen with your current wallpaper and embed it in the respective .PSD files(as a new layer). Now place the screenshot at the bottom of all the layers. Make sure that the visibility of both the blueprint backgrounds (coming to that later) is turned off. At this stage, you can see which of the boxes an labels are aligned with the elements on your homescreen/lockscreen(like clock, widgets, signal and wifi icons, etc.) and align the ones that are not already aligned simply by dragging/moving them. You can zoom in for better precision.
After the alignment of the labels and boxes has been done, you can turn off the visibility of the screenshot layer.
Now coming to the background: I have supplied 2 blueprint backgrounds - one is blue(just like the one MKBHD posted) and the other is purple(which I made for myself). You can choose any 1 from the 2. Now turn on the visibility of the blueprint that you have chosen and your editing is complete!
STEP 3: Exporting the wallpaper
Now comes the most easy yet awaited part: saving your work! Just choose "Quick export as PNG" in the file menu and transfer the saved image to your device. You can now set it as your wallpaper and enjoy!
Please give a "Thanks" if it helped you and share!
