[Q] Uninstalling Vanilla Lockscreen - Android Themes

Hey all, this is my first post~
I have searched all over for an answer to my following question, with no success. Hopefully someone can answer it for me here
HOW THE HELL do I uninstall vanilla
I would love to be able to flash some other mods to my MikFroyo 4.4 (custom themes, etc.) but I know there are conflict issues when flashing things over vanilla. If anyone can help me out on this I would be very happy!
Also, I noticed when I flashed the orange workspace, it cut off the bottom row on my home screen...has anyone else had this issue? Is there an easy fix???
Thanks again for any and all suggestions!
SpiderGrafxxx

nevermind, I got it all under control!

No Vanilla Clock After Lockscreen Fix...

Hey guys, I just got done flashing the third update on Flipz's page that fixes the Vanilla lockscreen problem and deletes the stock world clock/installs the Vanilla Android clock. I'm running the latest version of DamageControl, and prior the flash I had installed JsChiSurf's Rotary-Style lockscreen without time and carrier that's downloadable OTA from DCUpdate (I went in through adb and also removed the HTC lockscreen prior this so that things would be transparent). I didn't care to lose the Rotary-Style lockscreen because I needed the alarm clock fix.
The new locksreen works like a charm, but I have been unable to find a Vanilla clock app in my app drawer (and of course, my stock clock app is gone). The time displays fine on my taskbar and my lockscreen--just no app to be found anywhere. I did a nandroid backup, so I could in theory just go back to what I had, but I really needed the alarm clock fix and don't want to do that.
I hope I'm not just missing something obvious. Any help is appreciated. I've been a lurker here for a couple of weeks and have benefited greatly from all the info...I searched and searched to see if anyone else had this problem, but couldn't find anything (even searched the replies to the issue on Flipz's page).
Thanks in advance...

Anybody...?
I applied the one that didnt delete the original clock app, but i still want the fix. I want to be able to use my alarms without having to run desk clock every night or have to restart whenever the alarm goes off.
Alright, I'll answer my own question since I figured it out by accident.
Long story short, re-flashed my ROM yesterday, opened my apps drawer this morning, and there was the new clock app.
Don't know why. Just posting in case someone else has this issue in the future. Won't guarantee it'll fix anyone else's problem, and quite frankly I don't really know why it fixed mine. Didn't wipe, nothing. Just re-flashed.
If someone could explain, that's cool, if not, that's cool too--my phone works like I wanted it to now.

hey guys, I've searched around and tried some experimenting on my own to no avail.
I'm running DarchDroid 2.7 (btw, you SHOULD be running this if you aren't). It's pretty fricken amazing, the only thing I want to change is the haptic feedback on the lockscreen. If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated

i did, no luck.
I've tried just about every vanilla lock screen zip and everyone throws me into a boot loop
selfless promotion bump
I have tried everything known to android to disable the haptic. I think you have to go in and replace the jar files in your framework.. I keep getting a bootloop as well. even in metamorph.

[Q]Nexus Desktop Dock on NXSense 1.26?

Hey all,
First off, I'd like to say i posted this question on evil's NXsense rom thread already, but that thread is pretty dead. I was just wondering if it was possible to regain the nexus one desktop dock bluetooth audio capabilities again.
the only thing i found after searching was this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5721627
can anyone confirm this working?

Try it for yourself... just download a Froyo ROM and pull the apk out of it, then install it on your phone with Sense and see if it works.
just tried, i pulled the clock.apk from TheOfficialNexus1 rom, and installed it. so now i have the stock nexus one clock app, but it doesn't trigger the dock to pair with the phone. any ideas as to which apk(s) it would be? i'm determined to figure this out. any ideas as to how to find out? im currently flashing TheOfficialNexus1 rom on my phone and using a task manager to see what new task pops up when i dock my phone.

I have no clue, but thanks for checking. I'd bet that it's a framework issue. I'm not a coder, but it would be cool if someone made an app that triggered the HTC Desk Clock on docking... it's much nicer than the stock one.

Found this on the net long while. Can't rmb where, and I didn't make it. But it works!
but i was playing around a bit with the framework and I managed to achieve the same result without the apk (result as in the deskclock coming up when charging), but still no audio.
so... after a couple days of cooking and testing, i still haven't managed to get the dock working on the nxsense v1.26. however i did find some info like http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=ke...334736426c8b33;hb=android-msm-2.6.29-nexusone
Maybe it's in the kernel + all the files listed at the beginning of the code? if there are any chefs willing to help teach me a few things, i'd like to start cooking for the nexus one. just need a helping hand to get started. i've had past cooking experience with winmo for the kaiser, but thats about it.

[Q] Question About Messaging / Conversations.apk

Hi All,
I did a few searches and couldn't find what I was looking for. Anyone pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to extend the functionality of the stock messaging app, running 4.2.2 generic .67, NUT stock version. In the notifications, I have played with other apps that allow to mark as read / delete type functions directly from within the notification panels. I have searched mods, xposed modules, and apps to no avail, and I hope I missed something. Anyone willing to paste a few links or suggestions :fingers-crossed:
Thanks in advance.

Navigation Bar Keeps disappearing when in Apps - CM11 Bug! Help Please!
I have even wiped the phone brand new started from scratch but the same issues
The apps i am trying to use are
FPSE
MUPEN64PLUS AE
MD.EMU
SuperGnes
OnLive
and a few more that i can't remember off the top of my head...I don'y have this issue with most other apps like Facebook Youtube Hangouts etc etc but i know it's causing a lot of my more frequent apps to not work
I even contacted the Dev of FPSE and thought it was his app then to confirm i tried the same apps on my Nvidia Shield and Nexus 7 and they worked fine...i'm starting to think it's a bug with Cyanogenmod 11 :S
Can anyone help me or recommend what i can do to fix this as cyanogenmod is my preferred Custom Rom for android!
Please post questions or help threads in the Q&A/Troubleshooting thread
You will receive help much more quickly if you post in the correct section
Thread moved
anyone?
Slide your finger from the place where the navbar should be. It should appear again.
If it doesn't then it's a rom issue indeed and posting this question here is pointless. If you have an issue with a specific CUSTOM ROM then do post such issues in the rom thread or somewhere else where developers of the rom want you to post.
