i just instaled 3.0 but the market is not on there is there a way to put it on there
First, Google can help you find this kind of information.
Second, see "Installing the Market on Nook Color with Honeycomb" section in the first post here: http://forum.androidcentral.com/bar...oad-install-honeycomb-nook-color-sd-card.html

Choose one of the links for the market app to get the free version or click the FAQ for the full version.
Hi,
is it possible to add the Hero keyboard to Eclair ROMs? If so, how?
I greet all the fans ROMs Eclair
This is the wrong section, just make sure you post in the correct section next time.
But this is what you need:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567294&highlight=HTC_IME
Install it like a regular app, then go to settings and change the keyboard to Touch Input.
Thanks and sorry for wrong section:/
No worries! Enjoy your Eclair

Both links are working fine for me.
Try a different browser, or a download manager.

Thanks. I know this may not be the thread for this question. but i already downloaded an htc_ime.apk thru adb and it force closes. how do I pull it thru adb? or can i uninstall thru managing applications? Thanks in adv
you can install through an app manager
you can install it through an appmanager
The Hero KB is in Eclair, Manup's 1.4r2. idk what others have it. just an FYI, so you could pull it from there if you needed to find one.
downloaded Honeycomb ver4.0 to my SD card and fired it up. Love It!!!! but.
There is not market app included with the apps and now I can't download any other apps.
Is this just because Ver. 4.0 is a demo, or can I sideload the market app or something??
Sideload it. Use the same technique here:
nookdevs.com/NookColor:_Nookie_Froyo_Tips
to load the Vending.apk
enjoy.
Read the HC on NC articles at that wiki also.
OK, time to admit stupidity. I don't know how to sideload the market app and I don't know what the vending.apk is.
Can you or someone walk me through sideloading so I can get the market app on my nook
Thank in advance

The file for the Market app is "vending.apk".
The walkthrough is literally one post above yours:

Look at the "Google Apps" section.
Hi,
I recently installed HellyBean/DevilKernel onto my AT&T Samsung Captivate, everything works great but its missing the play store. Can anyone point to the right direction on where I can find out how to install it. I tried to google it but had no luck and I browsed through some of the Captivate forums but couldn't find anything on it. Any help would be great!
- Thanks

Which version of Hellybean did you install? The version dictates which version of gapps you use.
i checked the recovery and it says "devil recovery v6.0.1.0" idk if that helps. If it doesn't where can I check what version I installed?

Go into Settings>About Phone and find what the Android Version is.
Or if you're still in recovery what is the name of the helly zip file?
I checked settings and it says "android version 4.1.1" It also says the "kernel version" do you need that as well?

Nope I don't need that. http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip That link should start the download of the gapps you need.

I am curious though, where did you get the version of Hellybean that you're running? I ask because you are about 3 major software updates behind the most current.
So I put it on the sd card and go to the recovery and install it right?

Yes just flash it just like you did with the main zip.
I rooted/installed it way back in August 2012 and was too lazy to find a solution and I finally decided to do something about it.

Fair enough. I would suggest that you at least move up to the 4.1.2 version. It would likely have more features and be more stable.

Thanks a bunch! For your helped I have "fondled" your thanks button. lol
Thanks! Glad I could help you out.
So, I was installing the framework and got to the point where I should install the apk, but there is no apk to download anywhere, am I dumb or it no longer exists?
Downloads:
XposedInstaller_*.apk from this thread: Must be installed to manage installed modules, the framework won't work without it.

I'm really confused. I've successfully flashed the framework through TWRP and all, but I'm stuck with this.
If someone could please let me know at least what version of the apk I'm supposed to download so I could find it in a mirror site, that would be great!
Thanks in advance! :good:
