So I got my second HD7 yesterday, i restored it to stock, and during the first boot, when there's the HTC green signature, the screen slightly moved left and right...also showed some pink pixel pattern..all this lasted 1 sec tho...
I restored it other two times, and always have a little glitch only on the very first boot...but the other times there were no pink pixels, just the htc signature that slightly moved left an right...
if i just reboot without restoring to default, no glithces happen.. [edit: they happen]
should i worry?
on a sidenote: when i scroll my homescree down, if i look at the google search tile, there's a little black zone under the red color...can you guys check if that happens to you also? i think it did that also on my first hd7 but i'm not sure
EDIT: just noticed the glitch during a normal boot...right before dimming the screen, the htc logo moves slightly...any ideas???

Hi All,
Actually I bought a new Note-GTN7000 but later after four day's I've noticed that there is a tiny green dot appearing on the not exactly but middle of the OLED. It is not a dead pixel as it appears on a dark background only like when we go to the settings menu(Dark Background) & it disappears when I switch of my handset.
Could be a pixel stuck.
Q!: Is there a way to take it off.
Q2: Tried different apps like JscreenFix and pixel fixer for about an hour or two continuously but didn't work out.
Any other possible way from any body???
Please help.
I once had a stuck pixel on tytn 2 and this is what I did:
Hold your finger or "closed" pen on a pixel(so you'll know where it is)
Turn off your screen
Press the spot on the screen very hard
Turn on the screen
This procedure helped me to "unstuck" the pixel. I cant guarantee that it will work om amoled but I think it is worth to try
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Pushing the spot hard and Switching the display on, Heating up the screen works for LCD Screens. Not LED.
Don't try these silly steps posted everywhere, You might end up permanently damaging your screen.
The only solution to this is, Stop looking at it. I have a stuck pixel on lower left corner as well. They don't spread nor hurt anything. In fact its so tiny that You wont notice it until you continuously focus your eyes on it. In a couple of days you will forget that It's their.
For LCD Monitors back in the days - Samsung only replaced Monitors with new ones if "only" they had Five or more dead pixels. If you have one , or two you're stuck with that for good. #yearsago
So my poor i9000m went for a faceplant earlier this year and the glass was badly cracked. I continued using it for a while until the amoled started displaying messed up colors and finally turned a harsh shade of green so you could barely see what was on the screen.
I disassembled the phone, and discovered the amoled itself had started to crack. Okay, so dead screen. I ordered one of the replacement amoled that include the frame and buttons (for a few bucks more then only the amoled it seemed like a worthwhile convenience).
I got the replacement today, and carefully reassembled the phone around it. Power on... Samsung logo, cyanogenmod logo, startup animation! Awesome I think to myself! But then the cyanogen animation goes weird colors (as if the display was set to 16 color). Phone boots and looks okay, colors maybe a bit faded. Then the screen timeout hits, so I hit the power button to start up again. This time no Samsung logo, just a small green line at the top. After a while cid appears on the boot animation. In the OS, colors look poor (like it is in 256 color mode), and gradients look horribly jaggy.
If I boot into recovery or download mode, I get a little green line that slowly fades to random pixels across the whole screen. Only if I boot into the OS can I see anything. And still, colors look horrible.
I took the phone apart again, cleaned the connectors carefully, but same thing.
Any thoughts? Did I get a dud screen or does this sound like something else is wrong in the phone?
[Q] Weird problem with screen after update - partially "black" but not broken screen
Trying to get my mother's Fire HD going again. Since she did the last update a few months ago (she finally sent it down to me), it boots fine, gets past the lock screen, but then shows only the bottom Home/Search/... icons, and the top ones if you swipe down. If I click on Brightness, I get the on screen control, If I click WiFi I have to hit the back arrow to see it, but then it's perfect. I tried clicking the "More" button at the top right so that I could try to restore it to factory, but no matter what I do just get black and no way to choose anything. I have hooked up to my Mac and it shows 4 gigs available. Any ideas?
Well, I woke up this morning to find that my phone had been stuck on the Google boot logo for at least a few hours. I cursed to myself because I already knew it was going to be burned. I booted my phone and as soon as it got to the MultiROM boot screen, man did I feel it. There was a big fat "Google" right in the middle of the screen. I've had an app I found on the Play Store running for ~8 hours, filling the screen with colors flashing back and forth. It's gotten better and I can't notice it anywhere but the MultiROM boot screen anymore (I tested it with multiple burn-in test apps). I guess it's okay but the the concept of a very expensive phone being burned like that kills me inside. One request, can someone get me an exact image of what the screen looks like when it's turning on so I can invert the colors and hopefully get it gone all the way?
I had some burn in that was bad a while back and this app
Display Tester fixed it up well. I used the burn in fix method with the black and white stripes.
Hey guys!
So I'll put a video of my cellphone and how the problem looks like right below.
Last week I installed a few apps from Play Store for studying and after a while the phone screen started to behave with a glitch: It started to flash some vertical lines and sometimes parts of the screen are placed in other places. If I touch the screen where an icon used to be but due to the glitch it is in another place of the screen the app opens normally. Like this glitch is more about an illusion. Sometimes the whole screen can go black or white and then it turns off. Sometimes the colour scheme is inverted. (In the video you can see itbetter)
When I try to turn on the screen again by pushing the Power Button the screen can blink quickly so I can't unlock it.
I saw a lot of things on internet but actually nothing really helped me. I suspected that it was a kind of virus but I changed the ROM 3 times (flashing Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android 5.0 Lollipop and Android 4.4 KitKat) and the problem still haunts me. When I'm setting the cellphone up the screen is OK and everytime I can open an app this glitch stops. (As you can see in the video) But when I go to the home screen this glitch starts immediatly.
I've heard that it has to do with the battery or it is a hardware problem. But I don't know why this problem only happens in the home screen. On fastboot screen the screen is OK too.
I'm trying this forum really hoping that someone appears with the solution. Thank you so much!
