Hi! I am the Moderator over here. Well, if at all you feel you can't express your problem in English, you may use an online translator and type in your language and then paste the English translator over here so that the members can understand your problems better. I am just suggesting that. I don't want to offend you by saying your English is bad.

Russian (cyrillic) Keyboard

Hello,
i just got my HTC diamond, using it in french !
I need to send sms in CYRILLIC as i did with my Sony w880i (just choosing the language while writing sms)
Is it possible to activate a russian keyboard in sms menu, and also to add a cyrillic alphabet in word for example !?
I'm looking for it on the forum, but i didn't find yet any topic about this specific request...
Thank you very much for help !!!!!
Russian input
It''s only a standart VGA keyboard russification. Enjoy
Installation !?
Thanks for the file...
But after i installed it, it seems that i still can't choose the russian keyboard
I still have my standard ones (french, spanish, italian, english and german)
I found a solution !!!
For the ones who are interested... page 4, rus2.cab to install on diamond, and it works fine

Golubev, Super I like this tool . Would be nice to have possibilities to recognize russian handwritten font as it done for German.
Many thanks!

Sms in Russian
I tried to install in my HTC Touch Diamond several different keybord in order to be able to write sms in russian/cyrillic. All of them are perfectly working, with outocomplete words,....
But my problem is that when I send the sms to another mobile, my text cannot be recognised: all the letters will become "?". Is this because my Diamond is in Italian and can't recognize cyrillic caracters?
Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I need to write Sms in Russian.
Thanks in advance

I believe that another phone should support Russian, this is often problem.
cheers
So you think that there's no chance to write sms in cyrillic from my HTC Diamond? But I'm sure that exist the russian version of this mobile. Why can't it recognize cyrillic?
You can try Microinvest Micron 2.5 keyboard. It's free and supports cyrillic keyboards (russian and bulgarian) as well as the standard english layout. It comes in two distinct versions (which are actually separate installations):
Standard - with the size ot standard input panel and
Touch - specially suited for finger typing.
It also has support for VGA displays (such as the Touch Diamond).
You can choose among 4 integrated skins (i like Vista best). More info here:

Or download directly from here:

Please ALWAYS search the Wiki or my articles first - I've published no less than TWO Bibles on this matter. See http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde... Ok How are you going to pay? we accept major credit cards from all over the world! lol
add another 200 and go by yourself a new diamond or add 300 and go buy the touch pro.
Still, a Romanian T9 would be nice...
up
i already have a HTC DIAMOND, i don't need two ! I will pay 200 euros for a working t9 romanian dictionary for HTC DIAMOND via PAYPAL. I need the dictionary... I hate writing text messeges without t9...
ITS NOT A JOKE !
There is a T9 romanian dictionary for qtek 8500...whoever can convert it into making it work for diamond gets the money. thanks
Deleted Sorry.
up
anyone ??? or at least for htc dual hardware keyboard ?
If there is nobody on here that can or wants to do this, then you can always go to elance and hire somebody to do this for you.
Here you go
All the credits go to melgurth so if it works he's the one you should pay.

Edit: sorry but I don't think it'll work with the Diamond, the T9 program is different, apparently.

This must be the file he's searching for. It has the same syntax as the others on the diamond ldbs.
By the way, he needs to add some values in the registry.
No problem, I can add registry entries but first I wait for 200 EURO

man...this file was already there in the windows directory... i overwrited it instead of germany file and reset de device...and selected germany...and it has no romanian words in it... after reading on this site i think its just the keyboard layout... please if you can make it work and it gives you romanian words let me know...
some romanian words:
mergem
acasa
bucuresti
facem
scriem
craciun
It's not that simple. You need several files, mainly .kbd's. Those - along with the .ldb - contain the language ID (which is 0x?09 for English, 0x?18 for Romanian). Some registry meddling is also required.
--
Nu-i chiar asa de simplu. Ai nevoie de mai multe fisiere, in principal .kbd-uri. Alea - ca si .ldb-ul - contin ID-ul limbii (0x?09 e engleza, 0x?18 e romana). Si mai trebuie sa faci niste smecherii prin registry.
hey try this one out man
Jump into your registry with regedit (or similar)
- Get your Local Id here (displayed in LCIDhex column) http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/reference/winxp/xp-lcid.mspx
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\T9 input Method\MUI\Languages select values and then available. This value determines which languages can be chosen from in your t9 menu.
- In value data you can add you local ID (separated by comma)
- Press done
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\T9 input Method\LDBs press values. Here you see the current local ID's installed.
- add a new string value. Value name should be your local ID no.
- Value Data should contain the right path and filename of your T9 dll file.
Romanian
Local Id
0419
try it it should work i have it done with a english rom make it into dutch..
grtzz
0x0419 is Russian substract 1 for the romanian one.
anyway, I did everything by the book, tried to make use of english kdb files (I even patched their language ID where appropriate) - i'm able to select romanian, it's all ok, except word autocompletion/prediction doesn't (beep)ing work.
does it work good??
il hope so..
if so .. im glad to help you with that
ps srry for my bad english im from holland

Quick questions.

Hello everyone.
First of all, I would like to say that this forum and this community are one of the bests I've ever encountered before.
After that, I've got a couple of questions that would help me finaly buy this Diamond...
1°) Using a lot my email account, and knowing it's a Windows Live one, will it work on the 'Mail' tab in TF3D? Or do I have to go all the way through programs==> Windows Live? Will it work as a standard Windows Live Mail like on my Pc?
2°) Also I would like to know if a French version supports Greek characters for texting.
Thank you for your replies.
Edit : Also, being a fan of Microsoft, I own a Zune, & a Xbox 360. Is there any interaction possible? Especially with the Zune Software on my PC (Replaces WMP11 for my Zune device and is a kick ass) ?
Regards.
A.
Answer 1) I use the Live function of my phone, and it integrates fully with the TouchFlo 3D so yes, it works as normal email just settings are done through the Live application (which is brought up when you go into normal email settings anyway).
Answer 2) I can't say for French roms but I have a English ROM Diamond and the Greek letters are on there, just stashed way down on the symbols list.
I hope this helps. I don't know if you can Greek as a proper keyboard on an English or French ROM, but if you find out you can please let me know as this would be nice for me too.

Thanks for your response, I will look into it.
Anyone else, who owns a Zune could tell me if Zune software works with the Diamond?
