[REQ] Iphone app : song name finder

hi everybody, i was wondering if there was an app like the iphone app who record 5 second of a song, and find his name ... i think it will be very usefull, especially when you are listening to radio, and you want to know the name of the song you are listen to ...

Yes there is. I had it on my phone before I hard reset it and am currently looking for it again....wish I could remember what it was called.

Cant use G1 for mp3 Audiobooks?

Hi.
I have recently aquired an audiobook, and as there is already the option to listen to MP3 on the G1 I was sure there would be no problem at all.
However after moving the book to the SD card and listening to a few chapters, I took a break, and when i wanted to resume the listening i saw to my surprise that i could only "fast forward" 2 minutes and 54 Seconds on the built in player.
The other option was to click on >> but that would move to the next MP3 file.
I tried to download several other players from the Market, however all of them can only forward 2 minutes and 54 second.... soo my question is, is Audiobooks and other long MP3 files a lost case on the G1 ??
I would really hate to go buy an mp3 player for a problem which should be so simple.
Hope anyone has a hint to what i might be doing wrong.

Get SnoggDoggler, create a virtual feed for your audio book, and it will remember where you've left-off last time. Plus it allows you to fast-forward more than 2 minutes.

I tried the program you mentioned. Unfortunately the same problem exist in that one. It cannot handle MP3's with the length of Audio Books.
It keeps saying unknown length and it can only fast forward a few minutes depending on which of the files it reads.
Im getting really tired of this G1 problem :-(

Just tried with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" 5:01, was able to forward to the end.
Same for "Happy Ending" by mika, 10:21 because it has some "hidden track" on the end, was able to forward to the end.
Dunno what's wrong with your application lol, what rom are you using?

Same. Opened Weezer - Only in Dreams (7:59) and was able to arbitrarily seek to any location in the track. Good luck!
Edit: The epic crescendo on this song never gets old.

Any App that searches music in the phone with voice recognition?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask...is there an app that can search/play music on your phone by voice? Not looking for an app to search the web but only the file/music in your phone, thanks

i am looking for something similar, i would settle for a music player though that would goto the next song if i say next or previous if i say previous. voice command music player! i know it wouldnt make sense to some since it may not be able to hear you over music but while i'm in the car i hate having to reach over and click next. i could make playlists i guess but sometimes i am in the mood for a song/artist, sometimes i'm not. so if it comes on and it's still in the intro, i can just say next and it goes to the next shuffled song.
i did a quick search but couldnt find anything like this.

lock screen album art question

So I just noticed the other day that when I'm listening to my all access and i go to skip a song from my lock screen, the song name will change but the band/ artist name wont. It really annoys me and was wondering if it was just a bug on my phone, or happened on others. the worst is when I have Pandora on and skip a song, I can see the song name, but the artist name will be from a song i listened to 2 hours ago...
wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how to possibly fix it or wait for an update

Happens to me with most of the music apps, I also posted it here and in the android general forums, but nobody knows why this happens nor how to fix it, try using shuttle or nexmusic, they are the only apps that I don't get this problem happening and are actually pretty good players

Yeah same here happens a lot on pandora. Oh well it changes after a little listening to the song.

I'm curious to know the name of this song... I've been looking for it a long time, but since I don't speak English and can't put the lyrics on Google I can't find it (BTW Google, Shazam and SoundHound can't find the name of it). Hope you guys can help me

May be it is not a proper song but a short audio clip specifically created for this ad. I also couldn't find anything based on some of the lyrics I got(gonna hit you hard... its gonna non-stop..)
