Hello - Off-topic

I've been a pretty big contributor to the Moment forums over at sdx, but with my Evo coming this week, and you guys being known for having done more dev work on that device, looks like I'll be spending a bunch of time here, too.
So, hey y'all!

hello to you too

Welcome! Hiya to you as well!

And welcome to xda. Get you post count up above ten so you will be able to post in development threads. I've seen alot of people who are noobs to xda think something was wrong when they couldn't post in a xda thread.

Hey Ecooce. I figured I'd see some names here I recognize.
The Evo was a tough choice (Over the Epic) but it came down to one thing over everything else: It's not a Samsung.
And thanks for the welcome. Reading aroiund, I had already picked up on the 10 post count thing.

Hey everyone - new here

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say hi. I've been viewing this site for quite some time and it's really helped me learn a lot more about android and has gotten me into messing with my phone. My first phone was a G1 and that really got me into the android world. I'm now using a Nexus One that I just recently rooted and flashed with a great deal of information I found here. So, thanks to everyone here for that. Anyway, enough rambling. I look forward to hopefully helping out the same way I've been helped. Thanks again everyone!

Xda tv - what do you want to ask captainkrtek?

My show on xda tv will be an interview show. For the first episode, I will give captainkrtek a proper interview.
Captainkrtek is a forum moderator, news writer, server admin, and is diving into android app development. Please post questions you would like me to ask him here.
Thanks!

^^ when was this??? I want to ask hIm!!!
I would like to know how he feels about companies like motorola that seem hostile to custom ROM development on their hardware? I would also like to know how he feels about the direction android development seems to (is taking) with the different versions for tablets versus phones? Sorry if I asked silly questions.
Sent from my Llama powered N1 courtesy of the xda app! Llama Power!!
Thanks for the questions so far. I will be recording in a few hours. Any others?
Macaroni, I may ask your question thanks to the kind words ^^

I guess you'll have to watch to find out
In all seriousness though, I will be using silly questions here and there to lighten the mood, so yeah, I'll probably use it
Ask him if scrizz ever gave him those bacon cookies and if he abandoned the galaxy sense project for the fascinate. Tell him bubby323 can help him out.

Ask him why he picked a captainkrtek as his user name.

Just signed up and can i say this is the first time I've signed up to a forum and been intimidated!
Ive seen the intro vid...gold! (person no# 283,987!) woohoo!
Was just wondering how folk like me(handsome...yet noob to the core!) get around XDA without being torn a new hole? I like people and having one hole so not sure if i wanna start a thread without getting the inside scoop!

Welcome !
Youl usually will be flamed when:
- posting questions in development and not in Q&A
- starting another thread that's already been posted, discussed and answered 20+ times. Obviously not searching.
- not following directions then bashing the dev for your mistake.
- asking/bugging devs for ETA's
- posting fanboy threads bashing the device in that device forum.
Most of these are general written xda rules. Welcome to the forum. Xda will be your best friend.
Hey dude welcome to xda and the best sub forum off topic

Welcome you'll come to find that we're all not so mean. There are some mean people of course, but don't let them get to you. Always try to be respectful, polite and search before posting a thread with some questions and you'll be fine

LOLOLOL at member friendliness. Mod's and Dev's are usually pretty friendly unless you bug the crap out of them. And you won't get ban hammered unless you go against the forum rules.
You should be fine as long as don't do anything too crazy.

We're not scary. Might seem that way on friday and saturday night but sunday afternoon we get back to normal. lol

Welcome aboard to xda forum
Don't forget to read our Forum Rules and may I suggest you give your thread a short title like "Hi, I'm Michael" or something like that.
And in your thread you write your comment where you explain what you are looking for, what you would like etc...
This is to avoid having long titles.
Have a good time to xda
