Does anyone know if JS3 themes will work on JS5 ROMs?
Well, so far, they do seem to work, for those that are also curious.
I'm currently using Sensation_v1.1_JPY_JS3 on Supernova JS5 without any issues, other than losing the rotary lock screen.
Thanks for the info, I just flashed phoenix 5.2 js5. Good to know I have options for theming.
And by the way, was a huge speed racer fan growing up. Thanks

I'm downloading it, but I kind of don't want to flash it. R14 was TOO GOOD!
Messaging apparently doesn't have grey notification icon.. what's the name of the icon in the framework Res so I can change it
Looks good.. tho Team Whiskey has released this same thing but modded with all the TW awesomeness days ago.
Good work Eugene tho and thanks for sharing...
I love what both Eugene and TW do here to make our Vibrants rock. He has provided alot of awesomeness as well, I'm using his Super IO Kernel with TW Nero right now, as I see a lot of others are doing. I would like to give this ROM a shot, but what I'm really excited about is the 2.1.1 he's testing. Eagerly awaiting. Thanks, Eugene.
Wow this is an awesome build. I'm keeping it!

It works fabulous other than the fact i cant change my screen brightness without having to FC settings. Iirc its on auto-brightness as default so i can deal with that while its fixed
Its suuuuper fast i will say, very impressed.

maybe you should ODIN to stock and reflash.
Looking for speed, stability and a ROM I don't have to tweek alot to get those things.
Thanks for the help
Axura OR Assonance, sorry
ive run both... Both are nice.

I have flashed about 30 ROMs and I have not flashed Assonance but MikeyMike is a gifted dev, however, Axura is the smoothest and most polished ROM I've flashed. I've flashed 3 releases and am currently running 2.3 with Setiron's kernal. They are the closest thing to a "stock worthy" rom based on stability and look. IMHO. The only reason I haven't tried assonance is the satisfaction i've had on the Axura Roms
I have flashed both the most recent builds and both are solid and worth a try. Both devs have made quality products. Biggest difference is the theme. Axura has a grey top bar, transition animations, and more color. Assonance is a darker theme with hints of ginger bread

Same here..actually looking for fastest data..don't know s about the modems but perception 4 the only rom I hit 6 mbs of dl on?????
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Assonance for sure!!!
Has all 3 !!!
I flashed other roms and some were great but always come back home to mikeymikes, my cappy always runs smoothly with his roms.
If it wasn't for the developers posting their work on this forum I would have gone back to blackberry months ago because everytime i odin 1click I am reminded why stock sucks so much: slow & visually unpleasant
Any roms have the standard samsung dock (4 button, color icons, customizable except for "apps").
Most I see have the froyo style, 3 button b&w dock that in my opinion, is very ugly. That's why I went back to stock from cognition.

Download and use Launcher Pro or Go Launcher. They both have 5 Button docks and they scroll.

I use launcher pro as my launcher. You can customize just about anything and get froyo

I used Axura for several builds. It definitely is a great ROM. Assonance is very well built too. In fact, it is better than Axura in my opinion and is the ROM I'd recommend.
if you like axura and assonance
give chronos a try
my personal fav.
If you're an Epic User like me who's on Froyo or below, not using the Screen "Off" Animation like the Gingerbread users, I have news for ya, someone made an app called "Screen Off and Lock" comes with plenty of animations, including one that looks like GB. I thought this was effing sweet and had to share. =)
SchizioPunk's Epic Experience 2.1 Eclair -> Odin to EC05 Froyo. Rooted. Bloatware Removed. Voodoo Sound V9 Module Loaded. TouchWiz4. Enjoying my Customized Stock Experience.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but this has been around for a while now and has been posted . Not trying to be harsh, just saying most people already know

Yeah, it actually works very well and is a nice substitute for CRT if you are still using Froyo

I never liked that one... it just doesn't look as good as the GB one, but it doesn't matter now since I'm running GB anyways lol

Well I sure as hell didn't know about it. Thanks for the heads up shiny. I always did love that CRT animation when I tried GB. GB is way too unstable now and not ready for prime time yet. I'm going to ride with Froyo EC05 until we finally get an official GB build... know what I'm sayin?

Couple days back, I updated to EG22, the real deal is a bit better but enjoyed this before updating. =)
I like CM7, but it's not very appealing to the eye. It's fast and all that but I'm looking for a ROM that's both beautiful and fast and of course stable. I'll think of ICS when it's much more stable. Maybe I'll run MiUI again. Oh, and it must have trackball wake. Or maybe it mustn't, so what about sense?

I wouldn't choose a ROM on the basis of it's appearance. That's what Themes are for.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167075
For my money CM7 is the best ROM. With so many themes and mods around it's up to you to make it look how you want it.

Ok, thanks for your input and thanks for the link.
What's the stock gingerbread firmware (2.3.6) like? Never tried it as my phone was delivered with cyanogen's CM7 build a few months back. Now, I run samuaz's CM7 build, though.
If you can recommend a better/faster CM7 kang/build, feel free to share.
Since CM doesn't pump out "official" nightlies anymore I've been using
temasek's kang build.
http://www.mediafire.com/temasek#2tyt9uzxa9ahx
another option is Euroskank kang builds
http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/gigglebread/
They're both good.
I am quite the fan of MIUI Roms. Currently I use QND MIUI found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1084726 it's beautiful on the inside. But dress it up however u want using the theme manager. Or dig around on XDA for miui theme.

Hey guys is there anyone who successfully ported stock gingerbread grass live wallpaper to ICS ROMs? I've been searching everywhere but can't find it... I tried doing it myself without any success. I know there's beautiful Widgets one but it eats a lot of CPU and battery... please anyone? It'd be much appreciated.
