I recently picked up a Thunderbolt and will no longer be updating this as I will be selling my Fascinate.

I take no credit for this, it was just a port, credits and thank yous to:

sbrissen for the 5 lock, accurate battery, clock options, no full battery popup, and all his other work
bendbowden for the reworked quickpanel
kenesis as I used bits and pieces of his work.

most of the themers for this phone hang out in #fascinate-themers...but you will need to do the black menu edits to fix the text issue http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9664604#post9664604
how?!
hey thats the same theme i'm trying to do come to #fascinate-themers so u can help me i can't get it show up on my phone i did all the steps up until fixingn the menus and i was trying to get it show up on my phone first but it's not working, but the zip flashes a-ok... idk... come to webchat.freenode.net
pming now
Well I got about 95% done and got a PM and someone else will be posting this tonight.
Thats funny, I think I started working on the same one last night. Battery images appear different though. Anyhow I got framework-res.apk, twframework-res.apk & Settings.apk I think mostly done. This includes the font color changes and lockscreen changes as well.
This was built of the same files from the neongt port I did. Therefore it is meant for eb01 5 lockscreen and also contains the same animations, accurate battery (charge too) and a few other things as well.
I'd be happy to post this and let someone work off it or possibly continue the work. I just never nowhere to post things. It would be much easier if I could just start a thread and just randomly add things, then I won't loose em...
Just let me know and I can upload a cwm zip!
Some screens
Edit: Just saw the above post while I was posting...lol Just disregard this if need be...
Edit: Requested link for theme
beta .3 was what I had it called.

Hey notta, post it up anyways. Im gonna be posting what I have done too. Id like to combine the 2 has you have done some nice edits.
updated OP, posted what I have done and Im working on a few more edits now.
Nice work mob87. Definitely will be giving this a try once the text issue is fixed.
I have it fixed now. Just have to reup, my connection is kinda slow :/
Menu text is no longer black, please redownload, link is the same.
Looks like pure secks.
Now if only I had a Fascinate...

Nice job guys....looking pretty damned sexy
Not really sure what I did but the 5 lock isnt working for me. Looking into it now. Just make sure to select which lock you want before flashing and it should stay, just dont change it.
Looks good, cant wait untill fully complete
Got the 5 lock issue resolved, just waiting on the upload.
I will also give proper credits after I get this last upload put up. Ive been focused on trying to get this done and its turned it a disaster lol. Its my first port tho so please forgive me.

Sure thing! I'll update my first post that contains the images with the link.
I wasn't really working on this, I just get bored and randomly try things. So with that said, you are more then welcome to incorporate these files into your theme. I will warn that twframework-res.apk is not in a recompile state as several 9's from the source files I have are broken.

I appreciate it. I was making this for myself also, it probably wont see any other apps themed. It seems like people that are more inclined on porting themes are working on this. I just figured I would post what I had anyways since the work was already done. Then I ended up mixing my files up and it turned into one mess after another lol.
Anyways OP is updated with a new link, everything should be resolved minus the message button on the dialer as I dont know whats going on there.

Hey guys this is my first go so take it easy on a fella...Anyway first and foremost I would like to thank Conap for his awesome version of the Cyanogen Mod and of course Jedipottsy for giving me permission to port and mod his original concept and cacheinjection and djosiah for making the original Elegance theme, which was wildly popular in the G1/G2 community. Also I would like to thank jdh2001 for answering so many questions for me. So without any further grandstanding here's what we got....

90% or more of the framework has been themed (Still looking for the xml that controls the sub menu button color if anyone wants to help a fella out.)
The majority of the core apps and their corresponding notifications have been themed along with several changes that suited my personal taste. I have also themed the ADWLauncher...Thanks Andrew Web.

Lol yup seems a like that was a hundred years ago lol, Jedipottsy was very gracious and I think or at least hope that I did the original justice and made it a bit more current...I hope to have the last bit of framework edited and the last of the stock apps themed by the begining of next week. I also plan on releasing an auxillary icon pack for a lot of the popular market apps that can be applied via better cut. Thanks for the comment...So when we going to see your version of CM drop?

The error is a common thing don't worry its extracted and in its folder. I'm not sure what causes the error but I've seen it on several morphs.

If the error is occurring during extraction its common with a lot of morphology themes...the files should extract still just exit metamorph and really enter and pick existing theme.
I had no problems installing this .... but the error is definitely fairly common with metamorph...
found the glitch....
***NOTE*** I have found the glitch in my file I think for those getting the theme control file error. I will reupload shortly

This theme is excellent, thanks! My favorite dialer, and the tweeks are perfect. I installed this on WW3.1 and it got hung up on the framework update. I thought I was screwed but it seems like everything took.

Thanks for the reply glad you like the theme. I have been doing some reading as relates to metamorph and have found the "theme control file not found" error stems from the extraction portion of metamorph...I have started extracting theme files from the root of my sd card to Android Themes with astro and the error isn't present you just go to existing themes vs pick a new theme...
As far as hanging on framework-res thats all too common in some instances you will have to apply the morph again to get all the changes to stick. Again thanks for the feed back.
im on senseless and the only thing that doesnt work is the clock font is black

Hey there,
I found these icons on the desire forum and I was wondering if anyone could port them for our Heros. Especially the battery % with 100 power levels. I think it looks better than the Circle battery one. Also it has a few really cool icons.
So is it possible to port this mod?

It is possible and I can give it a go for you. I'm going to post at the original to make sure the OP is ok with it first. What ROM are you using?

hey guys, i have the first draft ready now (after messing up my ROM and not getting any sleep last night from restoring backups...), thanks to Summered for tips and Daneshm90 for REALLY handy scripts. I'm just going to get some lunch and will do up a VR12 version. Please make sure you have backups, nothing should go wrong as I have managed to get the update.zip way working. I also have yet to hear back from jercik if this is ok.
I have recreated all the images and used the standard DroidSans font for the text. Will need you guys to tell me if you think it's not readable
brb with download links
Edit: Ok here are the download links for VR12 (Please try flashing the original one FIRST to make sure the update script etc works fine and please make sure you have a nandroid backup and Titanium just in case )
modified - (please see new thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=762372)
Can you guys let me know what you think? Does it flash fine? Is the text readable? I want to get these right before I create updates for other ROMS (and try my hand at the other icons)
Note: Both of these are derived from the 'original' framework-res.apk from VR12 (I took it straight from the download. I hope that is ok???) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715728) and they will overwrite any changes you may have made yourself. If you have made changes let me know and I get give you my email address for you to send me your framework-res.apk file.
Good luck
Edit: After playing around with flashing the update script (really want to nail this process down...) it appears that it doesn't apply this properly unless you wipe the battery stats before flashing. I guess it makes sense.
What's the difference between the original and modified? Thanks
I flashed it and it worked fine without wiping the battery stats. Afterall I don't think battery stats have anything to do with the appearance of the icon.

The original is the one that comes with the ROM and the modified is the one i changed. it's handy to have the original on the sdcard in case the modified doesn't work you can reflash the original.

thanks for the answer I wasn't sure.
I just flashed it over Super circle battery mod under VR12.
Works like a charm, battery shows numbers in it
Everything is clear, and easy to read.
I was a bit sad, that none of the other icons were ported, I was kinds hoping that I will have nice colours
So to sum up - works great
With regards
brat.haneq
It's really good. Can you port the other icons too?
Sent from my HTC Hero using XDA App
Thanks I will start working on the other icons soon (I am assuming you mean the otheres that jercik has done?). I have made another version of the battery icons using the clocktopia font. if I upload them would you mind testing and see if its nicer to read? i think it is
thanks again.
I don't mind testing it. Thanks to nandroid you can go back anytime you want. But something tells me I won't have to. You're doing excellent work.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Edit: Ok here is a new update I have kept the same font as the previous one (will leave the other one as you all seem happy with it ) and added new ones for charging. Please let me know how it goes. Also just so you guys know I'm not on VR12, I'm on the standard but rooted 2.1. So I am testing on that and then copying the necessary files over to the VR12 framework. So I am kinda doing it a bit blind :/
Hopefully the charging icon is smooth, my phone has too much charge to test the whole range. If needs be I can add more steps
(please see new thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=762372)
Yep. It's smooth. Keep going mate.

Did you get the .apk to install and show in 'Theme Chooser'? I feel it might need more work than the just the images porting as it contains lots of .xml files that would, I guess, be integral to the layout. I've not had much of a play with the Theme Chooser .apk's, but I am sure someone will be able to port this to mdpi for CM7 based ROMs.
Just install it, it works! There are a fwe things like notification pilldown isnt right but still looks sweet

If it installs then it's just a matter of resizing, re-9.png'ing some of the images that look out of place. Simples
CM7 i am using,i did resize alot on the png's using photoshop and changing to 66% of the size but after 3 hours i couldnt do lots of them due to alpha channels and stuff so i gave up

this is a link from themeporter. it can resize the pix, so you don't have to do them al manual.
Tried it thanks, says its done but does nothing
As I already said in the main thread, download LCD Density Changer and set your density to 140.
Then install the theme as usual.
Works fine for me, using Ele's Gingerbread.
That doesn't work either, the same flaws as before plus new ones
This may be of use: ASimmons.
I will take a look later, but depending on how many 9.png's there are that need to be re-done I may not have the patience, but will see what the tools out there can do. My days of manually doing 9.png's are over... just can't take it any more lol
I've found out how to resize easily using photoshop.Redoing them now but i fear that some of the icons look strange so wont work....

I need to finish HDPI before I resize everything. That's a lot of work, I'm only gonna do it one time. Just added a ton of stuff to the theme, colors for select and focus are all changed now. To resize at this stage is not going to do anything but slow progress on everything. If someone wants to start after I release Alpha V2 go for it, would save me tons of work.
I remember a script to resize HDPI to MDPI but forget where I seen it at? It would be awesome to edit that for these themes so every HDPI graphic could be resized without doing it manually. It would be worth it for some MDPI devs to chip in, that way every HDPI theme could be converted to MDPI with ease. Resizing 2000+ png's is not fun

but there is a problem
some button is too dark to recognize
Hey again everyone,
Well, after several days of pulling my hair out, and many, MANY private messages to Untermensch for smali syntax help and debugging, I've finally finished adding a user-selectable option to toggle the AM/PM flag in the status bar clock!
Unlike the other various mods floating around, this will also not affect those that use 24-hour time, and does not matter if you use a custom font either.
Here's some screenshots of the toggle working:

UPDATE 2/17/2011 5:47pm: Source posted. If you plan on adding this to the 5/6 lockscreen mod, then you'll likely have to change the resource id's for the new strings in settings.apk from the id's I used.
UPDATE 2/18/2011 9:25am: I found a bug last night that would prevent auto-time from disabling. I've already fixed it, and have attached the newest, fixed, DateTimeSettings.smali file (in zip format.) I'll be out of the house for most of the day, but will generate a new diff file once I get home. In the meantime, please download the new zip in addition to the old source zip.
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this, and huge thanks to untermensch for his help!
Cheers, =)
P.S. I've never been one to ask for donations, I don't think they should ever be necessary for people to contribute and give back to the community. But I finally added the paypal "donate" button under my username for anyone that wants to donate to say thanks.
P.P.S. Next mod on the agenda (assuming it doesn't drive me completely crazy) accurate battery % via code, no more ~100+ png images added to framework-res.apk =)
Great job!!

LOL,
At this point, it'd be pretty easy for me to add that option, I might look into that once I port this to kb1/bionix-v 1.2.1 for myself.
Yep, its finally time to upgrade my rom, I'm not even sure what build I started all my mods on anymore. I've pushed so many updated system files over the past few weeks, I never felt the need to flash an entirely new rom.
Cheers, =)

What are you waiting for, slacker?!
Found a bug that won't let auto-time disable.
Falling asleep at the keyboard, but in the meantime, here's a fixed DateTimeSettings.smali file (in .zip format so I could attach it to this post) for settings.apk for anyone working on implementing this already.
I'll update the source/.diff files with the new changed tomorrow.
Sorry about that.
Cheers, =)

P.P.S. Next mod on the agenda (assuming it doesn't drive me completely crazy) accurate battery % via code, no more ~100+ png images added to framework-res.apk =)

Thanks.
Kind of been bouncing between being utterly burned out on android, to feeling extremely adventurous enough to try building my own kernel, lol. (anyone care to hook me up with an uncompressed stock+voodoo ramdisk from KA6 or KA7 so I can get up and running quickly?)
I'm hoping to add a few other CM features to the vibrant eventually:
accurate battery % via code
user-changable status clock/date color
phone & mms tabs on android lockscreen
Of course, just like with CM, absolutely no promises will be made, and no release schedule/timetable given.
Cheers, =)
I've actually done some poking around on the multi-lock myself. This feature would be very cool.
Nice job! But is this compatible with Axura 2.3.1.0? I want to flash this but I'm not a test dummy.

Axura has the 6 lockscreen mod and the one from this thread i ~think~ is for the 4 or 5 lockscreens. So flashing this would cause you to lose the Star Wars lockscreen.
Well, technically the lockscreen is still there; you just won't be able to select it in the display settings.
I dont care to much for the star wars unlock screen because it sends my phone into a bootloop
Today I bring you "Blue Neon Night"

Very nice work man! Good job
Very good shane, I see that you now understand the .9.pngs file. Looks great, so can I now start asking you (now the student becomes the master) questions? LOL

Thanks for all the help Timberwolf, I'm just a beginner at this, and have a long way to go to be in your league.

Awesome work bro. Gonna download and give it a shot

Already flashed it. This is right up my alley since I like pretty much anything blue. Thanks....look forward to what you have to add to this theme.
Nice work Shane. Alot of attention to detail theming all those app icons.
I believe you have a great future in themes
Thanks everone,
I still have some work to do on it, and I keep finding things I'm not satisfied with. Last night I themed the signal bars in the softbar, so this is far from the finished product.

I had a problem with trying to get a LP widget to work. When trying to login to the Facebook widget for LP it just keeps saying that it times out or something. It worked fine for the Twitter Widget so im not sure why its doing that. Besides that, everything else has been good.

I remember having that issue when I first got launcher pro last fall. I'm trying to remember what I did to get it too work. I'll post an answer when I can play some and try to recreate that error.

I really want to help you out with this, but I can't duplicate what you are seeing. I had this problem with the stock version of v0.8.1 last fall, but I can't remember what I did to fix it. I know it's not an issue with the themed version. Have you used the paid version of LP before? (guessing yes, but have to ask)
If so do you have a backup of the previous install that you can restore?
Edit: Here is something I found.

Glad I could help.
Hoping to have an update by 4/17. I know that's 2 weeks out, but I have a paper due in my marketing class that I'm really concentrating my time on.
A few changes in the softbar, plus fixing some minor issues I've found, and whatever else I have time for.
So far: New Signal Meter, New Battery Mod, New Power Option Icons, Fixed Spinners.
Still planning on 4/17 for the update.
V0.1.1 released
See OP for the changes.
Let me know what you think and give me your suggestions.
Shane
Nice man. Lives up to the name of neon its bright!
