Incipio Feather

The Verdict
It's awesome. Extremely thin and very lightweight, this case makes the phone feel much more solid in the hand. The soft touch texture also takes away the 'slippyness' of the original back cover, and best of all, it doesn't add any more bulk to the phone. All the controls are cut out, so unlike some of the gel/TPU skins, you get to press the naked button rather than pushing it through the case, which is very nice. It fits perfectly snug and doesn't rattle around. Definitely my favourite case for my nexus and I definitely recommend it if you can find it for a reasonable price like I did.

The Verdict
The installation wasn't too difficult, although getting the actual screen protector off the paper backing proved challenging. Getting the thing on the actual screen was very easy, all you had to do was spray the actual protector with this liquid solution provided and then slide it into place. This actually worked way better than I thought, and I was able to position it perfectly. Once on a dried, the texture took a little getting used to as your finger definitely doesn't slide as nice as the naked screen. However, the protection you get, imo, is worth the price of the weird texture. Plus, unlike other screen protectors I've tried on this phone, the curved glass at the bottom and top of the screen near the bezel actually sticks down nicely, unlike the other ones that didn't stick to the curve and collected dust. Overall I think its a good thing to have on your screen, but the price can only be justified by the warranty- which fortunately I haven't had to use yet.

The case doesn't lift the Zagg at all?

I run a very similar set up on my NS4G save that I use the Best Skins Ever screen protector which seems to have a lot less "orange peel effect" (and the black Incipio Feather). My phone feels light and well protected. I especially love how the case keeps the screen (as well as the bezel) off of the tabletop surface when I put it face down.

amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector review

I received this screen protector in the mail yesterday, and didn't hesitate to put it on. I have used other tempered glass screen protectors before, but I was hoping one would eventually be made for the curved S6 edge. Finally, there is one available. The glass comes with a colored top and bottom, which can be chosen for the color of the phone you have. For mine, I got the white to go with my pearl white phone. It's hard to tell at first glance that there even is a screen protector on my phone. I personally think that instead of having the cutout for the Samsung logo, they should have had the logo printed on the glass itself to make the top of the screen protector more seamless. With the screen protector on, it does make the home button flush to the thickness. I like that, but others might not.
I have noticed some differences in use between having the screen protector on vs having it off. First off is that the screen protector seems to attract more smudges than the original glass does. Secondly, the screen itself does seem less sensitive (especially near the edge) which makes edge functions much harder to do. They aren't impossible, but I do find myself having to push down on the screen much harder than I used to. Lastly, reflections on the screen make it visible that there are slight dips in the glass itself. Looking at a reflection reveals probably about 6 or 7 spots that look dented in. It seems to be sporadic in placement, and doesn't seem to affect usage.
I have found it hard to find a suitable case that works well with the tempered glass screen protector. Any case that has any lip protection will not play nice with this accessory. Luckily, my Spigen thin fit case works just fine with it. This isn't the type of phone that I want out of a case at any time. ( I have the 128gb model, and I'm not about to break it.) I'm hoping I won't have to actually test out the durability of the screen protector, but it is rated as scratch resistant, and rated at 9H for hardness, so I would expect it to stand up just like any other tempered glass screen protector.
Bottom line: If you don't mind sacrificing case choices and screen sensitivity, then get this screen protector. Just be sure to have a micro fiber cloth with you to get rid of all of those smudges. If amFilm can possibly coat the screen in a smudge resistant film, as well as increase sensitivity, then they could potentially corner the market on a very hard to come by product.

amFilm Screen Protector Review, its good

I received a sample screen protector from TechMatte for the Galaxy S7 Edge and would like to share my experiences with this product with the people here at XDA.
Ok so, we all know how to apply a screen protector right?
Well I do it a little different and it has always worked for me, I will try to explain here and just maybe it will help you in the future.
Skip this part if you don't care about how I installed this
First I always apply a screen protector in the bathroom.
I do this because of two main reasons.
First you can close it off and it is a small room with little to no airflow to stir up and move around dust and fibers.
Second, you can run a hot shower and fill the room with steam.
The steam in the air will make all of the latent dust in the air drop to the ground.
Those two things will guarantee you a dust and bubble free installation every time.
Ok from there on out it is just the standard, clean clean clean clean clean and more clean.
Then clean some more.
Peel the back layer, and align the cutout for the home button and the bottom edge of the protector with the phone..
Slowly lay down the protector and use the squeegee to press the protector down as you go.
The top cutouts should be perfectly aligned if you got the bottom right.
Gently wipe any bubbles you may have with your finger or the squeegee towards the edge or a cutout.
Once you have the majority of the bubbles gone, just peel back the top layer of the protector and finish up with any minor bubbles you may have.
My install went flawless, I did have 2 micro bubbles that disappeared in about 20 minutes.
The protector covers 100% of the screen and almost to the edges of the glass.
It does stop just before the metal frame and this is important.
This is the first screen protector I have tried that I was able to use a case with.
Every other one the case would hit the edge of the protector and peel it off the screen.
The feel of this protector is not bad at all, much better than the wet install ones.
All of the cutouts are perfectly aligned, this again is important.
The home button cutout is so precise that I was able to align the entire protector up only using the home button cutout and the bottom edge.
I will come back and update this if I have issues with this in the future, however I doubt I will as this seems to fit perfect.
I will attach some pictures here, I tried to get as many angles as I could.
With a Spigen Liquid Crystal case installed.

Glass pulling away from screen

Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible to have this manufacturing defect covered outside of the warranty?
Short description: it appears that the adhesive in the top right portion of the screen is letting go, and air is getting between the glass and frame. Phone has been in a case since day 1, and treated well.
I love Android, but a defect like this, and no help from my carrier or Samsung, make me want to switch to apple and apple care [emoji20] [emoji52]

The glass in that picture looks like a glass screen protector, and not the glass of the actual phone front (the actual glass does not cut-out around the light sensor and camera and instead is entirely flush along the front of the phone except for the speaker and home button). It may have been put on when you first got the phone, but it shouldn't be a problem to remove it/get a new one if necessary. It might even be possible to reapply the existing one, depending on the brand and what glue was used to attach it initially.

I understand thinking it's the screen protector (or screen protector related), however the air pocket stops where the protector begins.
The "bubble" now extends down to the power button.
I've attached a new picture to try to show better the issue, and that the screen protector isn't relevant.

Ahh, my mistake then, this picture does make it clearer. The only thing I can possibly think of is that the screen protector is adhered to the glass tighter than the glass is to the digitizer (or heat/age weakened the adhesive holding the glass to the digitizer) and so pressure put on the raised screen protector (from being in a pocket/bag or pushing against other objects) is separating the glass from the digitizer. I'm not really sure if there's a solution, other than replacing the screen.

Edge wrapped screen protector

Picked up the invisible defender screen protector.
It has edge wings that wrap around the sides and stick on the back of the phone. This means there's no lifting since the screen protector is stuck on the back side.

Just installed it. Not a fan. The sides push up and create pockets of air. It's also really rubbery, more so than the IQ Shield I used on my S8+. It's really difficult to write with the s-pen.
There's also a rainbow effect on the two sides

That's good info - mine arrives today, but is only going to be a backup to the cheap tempered glass one I bought, which looks in the flesh like it could be case-unfriendly, so that I have *something* at least protecting the screen when my phone arrives next week.

I got one of these too but not applied it yet as i don't have the phone but it says on the packaging to allow a couple days for the pockets of air to dissipate on the edges and that the 'rubbery' feeling should too so i wouldn't rip it off straight away and give it a second chance.

Honestly, I wouldn't knock it so much if it didn't have the two rainbow bars on the sides. These won't be going away since they're imprinted into the protector. They are distinct lines.
