Really hope you guys get a kernel that is actually possible to compile and not missing all the drivers as the Behold 2 people. If this is compilable than I think more people will be willing to jump the ship. **Hopes it is**
Has anyone been able to download it? It just keeps stalling out for me.
Sometimes u might get errors from source from samsung - if u get make errors
download i9000 source and copy the files needed from there.
this is AMAZINGLY awesome....mainly because now it's just a matter of ppl making ROMs and we can get some custom ish going

Yeah mine is moving now, just at a snails pace. 20 minutes to get 70MB.
Its downloading, slowly but surely. We need a mirror. I'll upload to hotfile or something if I ever finish.
Great! Downloading too.
So slow...

maybe someone who has already download could post a faster mirror? upload it to 4shared or another free hosting site? Thanks in advance,...
Can anyone confirm the drivers needed for custom ROM development are there?

i was wondering how stable and fast cm7 magpie was because it seems to be getting a lot of votes in my "Which rom do you prefer" thread in g1 development forum.
I want to know features, speed, and stability. I am really interested why this rom is getting a lot of votes.
Oh and one more question who else developed this rom besides firerat?
The thread was closed by the Mods due to FR's request. Anyways, it seems to be faster and more stable than the GRP rom i believe. It's gonna be my new daily!!

yea, just be careful with partitions.
Also, when you remove linux, itll mess up your bootloader, and you will not be able to boot into windows, unless u burn a recovery disk, run it, and repair the bootloader.
thats one of the reasons i decided to use the wubi until i make recovery disks for that.

Those who are brand new to creating custom ROMs and want an easy place to start learning
Those who just want to modify shipped ROMs or someone else's custom ROMs to their liking
Those who are confused by all those scripts and complex commands required for building and extracting
This is NOT a tool to automatically turn you into a full-fledged ROM developer. ROM development normally involves work from the ground up and involves time, research and patience. I am just giving the tools to help the average person get things done quickly from an existing

So if we took Ken's GB ROM, we could create our own custom one from it?

All you have to do there is use updater script from the ROM you use with the kitchen, e.g. if you use KP's 4.5.91 just use update script from it.

Yes we know that. But when using a system.img say the french one. when kitchen unpacks it the update-script id made. Then ask kitchen to convert to updater-script as this is only supported by cwm there is errors and rom won't boot

Having any issues??
I've worked my butt off for most of today trying to get AOSP Gingerbread to compile. It finally worked, and I got a shiny flashable zip file. Unfortunately, it is not bootable in its current state. So, I'm going to post the (incomplete) instructions: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1K4VkaeJc-Z7MQzN-WoMOgNSKLjOIZIFoCVOhDVBlZpI/edit?hl=en_US, and let all you devs have a crack at it. If you want to be added to contribute, let me know. (this post will evolve as the project does)
I wish I knew the first thing about giving you a hand with this.

Uhh okay? Cm7 may be aosp, but its not pure aosp. Theres a lot added. I personally would like a pure aosp rom as an option. Thanks for the useless comment though.

(I didn't flash this yet.)
Are you trying to mount this on BML/RFS or MTD? I'd presume it's probably easier on the latter seeing as that's how CM did their mount.

We got a successful build, but with limited functionality, because we couldn't find a working 2.2.2 kernel tree.
Just wondering, if this actually gets accomplished, will it still have the "no sleep bug" or whatever it is that kills CM7's battery life?

MOKEEOS
Hi Everybody,
This is my first ever rom on XDA. I am not a dev, i just ported this GB base rom to nexus s. I already tested everything. It works fast with out any problem. Also I have to thanks Galaxyuser who helped me to fix googleplay fc. As you know He ported this rom already to nexus s. This is the latest version of mokeeOS.
Credit goes to:
mokeeos team
Cyanogen-mod team
Galaxyuser
if you notice any bugs please post it.
if you like my work please hit thanks button.
Note1: Gapps already included
Note2: If you have problem with su permission simply just flash this .zip file and youll e good. The problem is, mokee team has included the SuperUser into the rom, I tried to removed it but its related to framework stuff.
Installation:
If you are coming from ICS/JB roms you need to perform a fullwipe.
Issues:
- The only thing I have noticed so far , when you press About phone in setting you get FC, but other than that everything else works smooth.
P.S: This rom is meant to be for who want to experience a new GB rom with new UI, So please dont spam my thread. Also I am not responsible for whatever can happen to your phone. Flash it at your own risk.
