What do you all think? Is it safe for our phones?
I've never ordered a battery back up from Monoprice, but I've ordered a lot of other things from them and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. If you're worried about quality the fret-not. Monoprice is awesome and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them if I need it.
hmm....
i still prefer my solar/wall battery 4200 mAh battery pack better from DX

Hello all as everyone know the stock HD2 battery has a horrible life. As I have been looking for a replacement and seen alot of threads here trying to find a nice battery so I came to ask few things I want to be clear about so post away if you can help.
1) I want normal size battery that is not extended battery as it fits in the original cover for TMoUS HD2.
2) I want the highest possible mAh that fits in the original case, which is what 1500-1600 mAh? if anyone know any other let me know.
3) I seen alot name these 3 companies Andidas, Galilios, Mugen. So name them which is better.
Keep in mind that to me money is not an option as I am welling to spend whatever long as it meets my requirement as I want quality and durability also don't want it to blow up as safety is also a concern, thanks looking for good product review and advice.
Anyone? any take on this? thanks.
i m interest with this too
Well I took HD2 of charge at 8AM when I was getting ready for work and now its 3:46PM and I am at 63% battery power. So I need a real solution as I use my phone for work, hope someone who tested other battery can respond as I need it urgent.

Have you been using the phone? If so, this is not bad! You only lost 37% battery for almost a whole day of work!
And you will not find a battery that fits like the original one, and has more capacity.
Just buy a second one, charge it, and take it along...
Thanks for your reply man but are you sure? As I seen in this very forum battery that is 1300 mAh and I'm not talking about bulky extended battery packs. Also carrying around two battery and changing it is not an option. Also that's like only 6-7hours and already that low ATM I have to keep my charger with me at work fearing that ill lose battery power as it happend once. I can Google some results but ill take feedbacks from user here any day as they tested it and used it thus they can compare it and it would have a fare product review.

dude if you can get your phone to mid after noon with more than 60% charge, you really shouldn't be complaining lol....
Its 8:30PM EST here and i am at 34% as device has uptime of 47hours and connected to 3g tmobile network for 36hours. I need 1500-1700 mAh but i seen 1300 on this forum as they say its same size.
The best battery you can get is a momax 1100 mah yes the mah is less than stock. But the reports are very good and it should go longer then the stock. It will give you about 20% extra. There are no good 1500 mah or more batteries. For example HyperNode would get with that momax battery instead of 34% 49 or 52 something like that.

The higher the mAh number, the longer a battery will last.
If your phone needs 1000 milliamps(1.0Ah) to work, a 1000mAh battery will last 1 hour continued use, if the phone needs 500mAh it will last for 2 hours and so on.
So going from standard 1230mAh to 1500mAh will not give that much more battery life.
Easier to carry a charged spare standard size battery if going to be away from charger for a long time.
I've also taken a different 'strategy' Charge all time (in car with Navi and BT anyhow) and use cheap secondary batteries (as with this charging strategy they wont last too long)
Apart form the Ah of a battery, it makes a huge difference in how the battery is engineered. It is indeed possible that a lower Ah battery provides more rela life power....

Jan thanks for that useful reply as ill look in to the product. But is there any battery that you know from same company with higher mAh? From what you said this is better than stock one and lower mAh yet better performance due to higher quality.
So ATM two candidates for possible same stock size battery.
1) Momax 1100 mAh
2) Mugen 1300 mAh
I hope people who used any or both can compare it with stock battery and post the finding here so others like me can make easy decision and order it.

so which battery u got in the end and how good was it?
Hello as I've come to find out the Samsung Galaxy Ace is a great smartphone for the cheap price (especially with a custom ROM) - but the battery life sucks.
I've been checking eBay and Amazon etc and there seems to be quite a few high-capacity alternatives to the 1350mHz stock battery - I just wanted to know if anyone has had any bad experiences with these alarmingly cheap offerings - or whether they really are as good as they sound.
I can't post links as I'm new hear but if you head over to amazon.co.uk and search for "Ecell - GOLD 2430MAH s5830" you will see the one I'm particularly interested in.
Not tried myself but read this!!! : About to buy a 2430mAh battery?
I have been using these batteries for about 4 months now and I must say I'm pretty impressed. The battery life is a bit better than the OEM battery and it comes with three and a wall charger.

Just make sure you dont get a battery thats too cheap(yep there is such a thing ). The battery life isnt just determined by the capacity. You also need good quality cells, some battery's on amazon & ebay are cheap because they really are Cheap.
There may be many batteries in the market but only factory made ones sustain the level of the needs of the phone. If you so damn angry with your battery life and choose to buy a higher mAh battery i would say its a bad idea..cause many china makers just use lower quality cell and prepare a battery and label it with higher mAh capacity sticker..so you lose your precious hard earned money on a fake cheap battery and soon you spoil your phone board and the result your phone may get DEAD.And duplicate batteries have faster discharging rate due to low grade cells in it.This is why apple iphones comes with a batteries that cannot be taken from the phone..Better you spend money on spare battery from original manufacturer so you get a good battery backup for longer time. And the +point is you get warranty. So no fear..I have made this post to help the people buy original batteries cause rest are peace of ****.Do you want **** on your phone??
Enjoy ANDroid Experience with original batteries.

Lol holy sh!t bro. I was thinking about buying this already

I am fullly satisfied with my Chinese replacement batteries. They don't last as long as the original one though, but it is still okay. (Their capacity is about 25% less compared to the original one).
Using them with an external charger, I have always two batteries which are fully loaded.
I use them for a half year everyday, altenating with the original one. Nothing happened so far and I absolutely doubt that they could harm my phone. The only difference is, as mentioned, that they have a little bit less capacity.
To claim that chinese batteries could destroy a phone, is just speculation. If so, it could happen with an original battery too, since they are also from china and most probably made in the same cheap factories.

Agreed. Most of the batteries - and Boards are made in China. So, we cannot take it for granted that Chinese battery would destroy your phone - though they have bad reputation.
P.S: I read in an article a little while ago that the battery used in iPhone is also made in China (Guanzhou I think). The good part by Apple Inc is that they have not revealed to the manufavturers where these are being used since they have middle men in between and manufacturers never know where their prodicts go... // I didnt agree to this though, but the article said so.. Just Sharing..

I might agree on the statement if we consider noname chinese batteries which are being stamped without any precautions or testings and sold on Ebay for couple of bucks. That is true that they might be of a very low quality.
But if we talk about branded batteries such as Seidio or Mugen, which offer quality and a good customer support and just see the feedback and test results found also on XDA. for instance I have been testing 1600mAh model for G Ace and its originally almost 25% more mAh than stock battery but it actually supplies about 35% longer performance. And manufacturers claim it will have 400-600 solid lifecycles compared to 200-400 lifecycles that original stock batteries supply.
Secondly mobilephone device manufacturers have no interest whatsoever to supply an ultimate device for users to last forever, and stock battery is a great compromise to save some money, and attract users to change they phones more frequently. This puts stock batteries under some doubts as well.
I wouldnot be so dogmatic about stock batteries supremacy..

So you recommend that battery? What do you think about this one? I'm about to order one so your opinion is worth a lot right now.
BTW; your link is down and I can't find it anywhere else. I think the website is having problems. But still though, please tell me your opinion.
Exactly we have to always used the original battery. This make our mobile phone life longer.
even if u say that, its hard to find battery made from non-cheap-mass-labour country....
aint saying chinese batteries are all horrible, but from ur statement it would be hard to find one....
Is Mugen made-in-china too?
Agreed!!!
I agree from personal experience.
Bought a 1 year old HTC phone, bought 2 Chinese higher capacity battery at eBay.
Both Chinese batteries swelled after a few months of use. Original HTC battery almost 3 years old now and still working fine!
Better get a reputable battery like the ones felllow members recomend.
Battery
Well, i think the best form of taking advange of your battery is charging the battery from 0.
Has anyone used either the
Gold
or
MPJ
batteries?
I remember on the Note 1 forums, the Gold battery seemed to be no worse than the stock battery, but I'm not sure if this is the same brand/company.
Cheers,
Rich
Never heard of them...
I just ordered a back up Samsung battery for about $25. I feel more comfortable with Samsung Batteries.
I just ordered the GOLD one off ebay right now... for 12 bucks shipped I can't go wrong to at least try it.. If it's a true 4100 it should bring a good 20% increase in life..
They advertise it as comparable to stock battery, not better. I highly doubt it's better or they would not fail to mention that.
Do either of those require a new back for the phone? i know sometimes the battery is too bulky to use the stock door. is teh 4500 just a number or could it really be 10-20% better than the stock 3100?
They seem to be the same size as the stock battery.
I just ordered these
$13 including shipping for 2 batteries and a wall charger.
They say they are 3500mAh, but even if they are a little less than the stock battery they will be fine as back ups.
The battery life of the Note 2 is so good I won't need to use the spares most days. I'll mainly use them when travelling.
Hey guys! I searched the forums and couldnt find anything on an extended battery that is oem size. Searching online only yielded results such as the zerolemon battery which is HUGE. There are a few on ebay but from what I read, those batteries do not contain the NFC feature. It wouldn't matter to me much as I do not ever use it. Is there any batteries that you guys recommend that contains more juice than stock but is the same size?

Sadly there is no such thing.
You'll find plenty that claim "Billions of mAh!!!" but it's usually the same as stock or even less mAh. If you want a good quality spare battery, look around for Anker's. Best bang for the buck.

Thanks for the advice! My wife got the smart dock and she got me a dock that has a spare battery charger integrated but I had to find a spare battery and couldnt decide which to get. There is a ton on ebay and amazon that claimed they have 4300mah or even 4800mah like you said.
I haven't had a spare battery since the HD2 haha The note 2's battery life is already great as is, but a spare wouldnt be bad either for those extra long days running around town and not able to have the phone sit and charge.
Would you recommend the ankler battery over an oem battery? I don't mind the price so much as I want a battery that actually holds a charge and lasts awhile.

I'd say they're just as good at less than OEM prices.
